Small Story 444.
Small Story 444.
Time Will Solve Everything
Raghu never imagined that his close friend Somu would be admitted to the hospital for a thyroid problem that required surgery. The cost, even after concession, was ₹12,000 — an amount Somu simply could not afford.
Somu worked as a clerk earning ₹15,000 a month. His parents were not in a position to help, and he was living separately from his wife. Though Somu didn’t want to trouble anyone, news of his condition reached Raghu through another friend.
Raghu, now a distribution manager in a pharma company with a good salary, had been Somu’s friend since childhood. Somu had dropped out after SSLC because of poverty, but their friendship had always remained strong. Raghu had helped him many times, though Somu often felt shy to accept it.
That evening, as Somu was returning home on his cycle, Raghu suddenly stopped his car beside him.
“Hey Somu! I’m coming to your home now,” Raghu said.
Surprised, Somu smiled and said, “Okay, welcome!”
Within minutes, they reached Somu’s small house.
“Hey buddy, how’s your family? What’s the surprise?” Somu asked.
Raghu didn’t waste time. “I’m in a hurry. Take this cover. It will take care of your surgery. Tomorrow, get admitted and finish everything. There’s ₹15,000 inside.”
Somu was shocked. “Raghu… how can I repay you for this and for everything you’ve already done?”
Raghu placed a hand on his shoulder. “Don’t worry. Time will come. Time will solve everything. Take care. I’ll see you after the surgery.”
Somu’s eyes filled with tears. He never expected this help. Raghu truly was a great friend.
After the surgery, Somu was discharged and returned home. Soon, he received an email that changed his life — his friend who had recently started a company in Dubai wanted Somu to join him.
Somu smiled, nodded to himself, and whispered the words he had heard so many times:
“Time comes… everything will solve.”
