Kudos to Chigurida Kanasu.

Another interesting clip from the legendary Director T.S. Nagabharana and acclaimed Lyricist Jayanth Kaikini, discussing the memorable film Chigurida Kanasu. The movie, based on a novel written over 74 years ago by the great Shivaram Karanth, was brought to life on screen over two decades ago. Starring stalwarts like Anant Nag, Shivarajkumar, Avinash, and Vidya (if memory serves right), the film was a milestone in Kannada cinema. On the technical front, the editing Manohar and music by B.S. Manohar, along with the brilliant cinematography and visual framework by B.S.Gowrishankar immense depth and beauty to the film. The conversation between the director and lyricist highlighted the artistic richness and emotional soul of Chigurida Kanasu. Despite being released years ago, the film continues to live in the hearts of millions, cherished for its timeless themes and powerful performances. "Old is gold"—and there's no better example than this cinematic gem. It’s a film that continues to inspire and be remembered fondly by generations. K.Ragavan
