On the story ‘The gloves are off’ K Ragavan writes despite the entire nation’s and its media’s support, and a request letter from BCCI to ICC on the MS Dhoni’s gloves issue, ICC is adamant on their code of ethics. Their insistence on the removal of insignia may not be palatable news for Indian cricket fans. An earlier incident of England player wearing wrist bands supporting Palestine was also opposed by ICC and removed, which shows the code of ethics is real. In such a case, India has to follow the norms and the ICC’s code. The game is important and getting the cup is more important at this juncture
