Homage to My Friend Thiagarajan812. Today, I feel compelled to write in my blog about my close friend who has consistently inspired me with his traditional and cultural values—Thiagarajan. I have known him for over thirteen years and have witnessed his unique style of hospitality during various religious occasions, which I would like to highlight here. Seven years ago, if memory serves me right, my wife and I attended his daughter's wedding in Kumbakonam. On March 28, 2024, I attended his son's wedding with my wife in Hyderabad. In both instances, I noticed the unwavering hospitality and affection shown to us by Thiagarajan's family and his in-laws, which I deeply admire. It's rare to find families that uphold traditions, devotion, and receive blessings from their elders and spiritual guides, and Thiagarajan's family is one such exceptional example. They have been blessed with the guidance of their Guruji Sri KrishnaPremiji for decades, and their devotion to Guruji KrishnaPremi is indescribable. Today, I pay tribute to this dedicated individual who has not only made a mark in his professional and social circles but is also a person of admirable character. Only a few individuals possess such charismatic and admirable qualities, and Thiagarajan is undoubtedly one of them. Before I conclude, I extend my heartfelt wishes for happiness, health, and peace to Thiagarajan's wife, daughter, son, and their entire family. Tribute 811 Today, I feel compelled to write in my blogs about an immensely talented actor from the South Indian film industry who has left a significant impact through his diverse roles in films spanning five languages: Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi. This remarkable individual is none other than Jagapathi Babu. He has received numerous awards for his memorable performances in various films and is recognized for his unique style, whether portraying a villain or a character role. Hailing from a film background, with his father being a producer if my memory serves me right, Jagapathi Babu has collaborated with top actors, directors, cinematographers, editors, and other technicians, establishing his own distinct identity that is widely acknowledged. While he has an extensive filmography, I have particularly admired a few of his remarkable works, including "Rangasthalam," "PuliMurugan," "Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi ki Jaan," "Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy," and several Tamil dubbing films, although I am unable to recall their titles at the moment. His refined action sequences, especially in the Tamil film "Hello" alongside Ramya Krishnan, left a lasting impression on me, showcasing his prowess in both negative and character roles with impeccable dialogue delivery. He has also made a mark in Tamil and Kannada cinema, earning recognition for his contributions. One standout film I enjoyed immensely was his collaboration with Ravi Teja in the movie "Nela ticket," where his portrayal of an orphan boy was truly remarkable. Tribute to Cinematographer KamalBose 810.Today, I feel compelled to write in my blogs about the veteran Bollywood cinematographers and their exceptional work in framing scenes despite limited advancements in equipment. One such remarkable individual was the late Cinematographer Kamal Bose. He collaborated with the late Director Bimal Roy on numerous successful films and received recognition with Filmfare awards for movies like Bandhani, Anokhi Raat, Khamoshi, Dastak, and Dharmatma, all shot in black and white, which was truly impressive six decades ago. Kamal Bose's career spanned collaborations with established directors of yesteryear, leaving a lasting impact on the Bollywood film industry and garnering millions of fans. Personally, I have had the privilege to watch some of his films such as Qurbani, Vakil Babu, JaanBaaz, Dayavan, and a few others that escape my memory. His films showcased excellent framing techniques both indoors and outdoors, highlighting his talent in utilizing available equipment to revolutionize Bollywood cinematography.
