TrIbute to Writer P.S.Ranganathan 764. Today Iam going to pen about another interesting personality in Tamil literary world . He is none other than wrriter P.S.Ranganathan known as Kadugu and Agasthiyan.I have read a few of his works in the blog as well as some old ones.He has interacted with great personalities like R.K.Narayan,R.K.Lakshman,Khushwant Singh ,Kalki,S.A.P and actor Sivaji Ganesan which is worth mentioning here.He is one of the few humorous and versatile writers in the Tamil story world. Kadugu 's Kamalavum Naanum was a wonderful comedy one.I enjoyed that very much. He was associated with top class writers of those days and applauded by them.Film writer Gopu of Chitralaya and director Sridhar have applauded Kadugu for his writing skill from film field.In his 80th birthday ,he has released his book Naalaayira Divya Prabandam.Even though he has done so many works, I am writing this to my little knowledge only with a intention to tribute this genius for his creations.I like his simple,realistic way of writings with humour and meaning.He was respected from all the top class writers like Savi,Raki Rangarajan,Kalki and many others.Today Iam very happy to tribute this stalwart even though he is not with us .Before I conclude, I admire his busy nature and involvement.I am writing this purely with my little knowledge about him. Today I remembered another interesting personality even though he is my relative but more than a relative I considered him as a good friend.Three and half decades back when ever I visit to Bengaluru for official work night I used to stay with him for two reasons . One we discuss various topics and another one two of his sons are fond of listening my stories especially investigation One night he has mentioned about a famous temple place which I was not heard of at that time, despite I visited more than Thirty times to famous Tirupathi.After years passed I happened to visit the place he has told me. My first visit I felt some new vibration after seeing that lord with standing posture. After that I made my regular visits , whenever I come on holidays from UAE. I performed my second daughter’s marriage in this famous temple place.Many good things have happened for me, despite anyexpectation from my side.My happiness was abundant after visiting that place.Till today I always remember his information and the back ground of that place and importance of that Sthalam.I donot want to continue my suspense about my relative cum friend is none other thanmy cousin’s husband and son in law of my late Uncle who gave my pet name Gemini .The famous Divya desam is none other Uppiliappankovil Temple located near Kumbakonam in south India.Amazing statue of the lord and beautiful construction of the good old temple with decades of back ground liked by millions of devotees.Today I remembered this relative Kannan who inspired me of telling this great lord’s back ground and but for him I would not have known this temple and I always remember for his introduction even though it has passed three and half decades. Tribute to Stalwart Late K.Rajagopalan 762 .Today I remembered another interesting personality who introduced me to the sophisticated pharmaceutical profession and one who was liked by one and all in his friends circle. Even though he has departed decades back he is still liked by all of his friends. He had spent more than three and half decades in the pharmaceutical industry and worked for reputed companies. He was famous in Madurai and later in Tanjore, where he was transferred. Where ever he went, he would automatically make friends, because of his friendly nature and jovial conversation and above all helping nature.We all are missing this great personality who guided me and inspired me in my Madurai days. I am not keeping suspense about this person anymore.The one who I admired and who introduced me is none other than my uncle, fondly known as TCF Rajagopalan.Even though he is not with us today his smiling face and jovial jokes still lingers in my mind. What little I know in Pharma Industry today would not have been possible but for him. He is none other then Producer and Director Shakti Samanta.Bengal has created wonderful Personalities like Satyajit Ray, Hrishikesh Mukherjee, Shakti Samanta and many more.Shakti Samanta's contribution to Indian cinema is unforgettable and remarkable.He was awarded for his Direction,Lifetime Achievements from Zee cinema and other organisations. He served as President of IMPPA,( Indian Motion Pictures Producers association and Chairman for the Film censor board is important. Known for his Presentation,Songs,story and above all wonderful cinematography by V Gopikrishna and Alok Das Gupta.Lilting Music by Late S.D .Burman.Rajesh Khanna was very popular with this doyen for many movies. He has Produced and directed More then 40 Hindi films and a couple of Bengali movies is worth to be mentioned here.I can not forget some of his memorable movies like Aradhana,Katipatang,Amarprem,An Evening in Paris,Chinatown,Kashmir ki kali and The Great Gambler.He gives Entertainment with mesmerizing songs.
