Tribute 915.
Tribute to Living Legend Seshadri915
I have known Shri Seshadri for more than four decades, ever since he began visiting our home in Tambaram. Over the years, I have witnessed his extraordinary journey of selfless service. He has dedicated his life to serving people with love, compassion, and delicious food.
For the countless devotees who come to Srirangam seeking the blessings of Lord Ranganatha at the sacred temple of Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple, Seshadri has become a true symbol of hospitality through his renowned initiative, Athithi Satkaram. His service has created a profound impact on the lives of people visiting Srirangam.
With a thin frame but an immense heart and mighty determination, Seshadri carries out tasks that are both amazing and deeply admirable. Every day, nearly 200 people are lovingly served wholesome meals, including two varieties of sweets and delicious traditional dishes. Visitors happily partake in lunch and even receive food parcels.
What is truly astonishing is that there is no tariff for the meals. Neither does he ask for donations nor does he expect anything in return. The sponsors are none other than the devotees themselves, who willingly contribute without being asked. This can only be seen as the divine blessings of Lord Ranganatha flowing through his noble mission.
His service is extended to everyone—devotees of Lord Ranganatha and people of all faiths—without discrimination. His hospitality reflects the true spirit of humanity and devotion. Feeding people with love and respect, without expectation, is indeed one of the greatest forms of yeoman service.
Without seeking help, without hurdles, and without publicity, he continues this remarkable service day after day with unwavering dedication.
I wholeheartedly wish Seshadri many more years of good health, strength, and the abundant blessings of Lord Ranga to continue this noble mission.
