Until stocks last

For the past few days, my city, Bengaluru, has remained cool and windy. A friend suggested that some new, colourful blankets had arrived in one of the leading stores. Adding to the attraction was a “tempting promotion offer” till January. He had bought one and was satisfied.

Another friend who was listening to our conversation rushed to the shop. He was impressed too and bought the blanket, but there was no discount. When the buyer argued about sale, the shopkeeper pointed his finger at a board, which read: “Sale, until stocks last.” 

The shopkeeper said those available were new stocks. My friend had to buy grudgingly as he had gone all the way.

It was good to read that the former Indian cricketer and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) politician joined Congress for his second innings in his political career (‘Navjot Sidhu finally joins Congress’, Gulf News, January 16). It’s the latest development in Indian politics. Will his entry yield any favourable result in the upcoming Punjab election to Congress? We will have to wait and see.

In politics anything may happen at any time, but accepting the candidate is in the hands of the people. Ultimately, people have to decide.

Ram was waiting for Prasanna's call for Vasanthy's  health.At that time call came.it was Kathambari
Ram,how are you.Mom is still running temperature .Doctor asked to take blood test.I am now going to doctor.Nothing to worry.She needs rest. Prasanna asked me to convey to you
Ram.O.K. Wishing her a speedy recovery
Kathambari.Bye
After that Ram was little worried.Even  when Vasanthy was in India she never  suffered for headache
and why suddenly this development.He was praying to his lord Srinivasa for her speedy recovery.
If every thing goes smoothly no one  bother.But that is not in our hands.After that Ram started for the
evening walk since it was friday.
When he was walking suddenly his paper boy called,Sir,Good evening.
Ram.Yes,Tell me
Paper boy.Sir ,take this sweet.My mother was suffering  from fever  and  yesterday only she has come to normal.When i met you one month back i told you    when you are asking why my face sad and i told my mother was sffering for the past twenty fivedays.
Ram.Yes,now i remember and told she will recover soon.
Boy.Yes sir,your wishes made my mother fast recovery.Kindly take this sweet.
Ram.Thank you.
After he left Ram was praying for his Beautiful Vasanthy's recovery.
His walking was also went on well and came home .After finishing his  mails check and reply
Ram came to kitchen took Bread slices for night dinner.

Tribute to Cinematographer VetriVel Mahendran 438.

Today i am going to pen another interesting film personality from Tamil Film Industry is none other than Cinematographer Vetrivel Mahendran.Even though in his short film career he has directed two movies  and both are  nice.I have seen only one of his movies Thodari which was really remarkable.
Directed buy PrabhuSolomon ,and  actors  Dhanush,Radharavi,Keerthy suresh and many acted.Beautiful shots on the train and inner settings by this Cinematographer nicely directed by the up coming Director Prabhu Solomon.Today Cinematography is playing a vital roll in all languages ,especially in tamil film industry many talented technicians are coming up shows the real interest people take for this subject.Good back ground music and  nice  shots make Thodari a good entertainment to the audience.Today i am happy to tribute this talented young Cinematographer.

Despite so many precautions and US interventions, the Taliban militants in Afghanistan still seem to have the upper hand in much of the country (‘Twin attacks near Afghan parliament’, Gulf News, January 11). They are killing innocent people, elders and children, and it’s unacceptable in any good and civil society. Will the new US administration take care of the situation on the ground and take care of the Afghan people? Ever since the US involvement in Afghanistan, there has been no fruitful solution. The US has to change its strategy as they are from the beginning in the country. I pray for the victims and a speedy recovery for the injured.

The Election Commissioner of India announced the much awaited Indian northern states election venue of various important states (‘Dates announced for polls in 5 states’, Gulf News, January 5). All the political parties are keeping an eye on these state results, as they will be announced around the end of March and will likely judge whether the ruling party is coming back to power in 2019. Since the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh is a vast state, the local politics are very powerful and all the opposition parties are eagerly awaiting the outcome of the election results. All these days, people were waiting for the election dates announcement and now anxious for the results.

UAE charm

When a friend invited me for lunch but kept the reason in suspense, I kept wondering what it could be. It was only after we actually met that he informed his son had got a job in Dubai. 

While congratulating him, I also realised my long association with the superb country. My most unforgettable moment in the UAE came when I once got a prize for best speech at a prominent event in Sharjah. 

The beauty of the event was it was attended by people of varied nationalities. 

When it comes to unity in diversity, no other country can match the UAE.
