Today, I am delighted to pay my heartfelt tribute to one of the most famous and widely celebrated Indian festivals, **Diwali – the Festival of Lights.**

Diwali is celebrated with immense joy and enthusiasm throughout India and by Indians across the world. It is a festival that has been cherished and celebrated for generations, bringing families, friends, and communities together.

The festival is marked by colourful decorations, beautifully illuminated houses, lighting of traditional lamps, bursting of firecrackers, and exchanging sweets and gifts. People warmly invite their friends, relatives, and neighbours to share the happiness and festive spirit.

One of the most beautiful aspects of Diwali is the reunion of family members. People working in different cities and countries make special efforts to return to their hometowns and celebrate this memorable occasion with their parents and loved ones. For many, travelling home to be with their families is an emotional and unforgettable experience.

No one wants to miss this wonderful opportunity to meet their near and dear ones, seek the blessings of elders, share happiness, and strengthen family relationships.

Diwali is not merely a festival of lights and celebrations; it also symbolises the victory of good over evil, the triumph of light over darkness, and the spread of happiness, peace, and prosperity.

 Principles, Honesty, and the True Meaning of a Recommendation

After receiving an invitation from his uncle, Krishna, Shyam decided to attend his daughter's wedding. There had been no contact between them for nearly twenty years. Shyam was pleasantly surprised to receive an invitation asking him and his family to attend the wedding in Tirunelveli.

Shyam had always admired his uncle Krishna for his principles, honesty, and integrity during his service as a police officer. However, he had also been disappointed by Krishna's rigid approach. In Shyam's opinion, his uncle's strict adherence to professional principles sometimes prevented him from helping people who genuinely deserved assistance.

The misunderstanding between them had started when Shyam requested Krishna to recommend his nephew, Naresh, who had completed his college education and wished to join the police department. Krishna did not provide the recommendation Shyam had expected, which disappointed him considerably.

Following that incident, Shyam went to Germany on an official assignment. He returned to India only a month ago. After informing his uncle about his return from Germany, he received the wedding invitation.

There was an age difference of seven years between Krishna and Shyam, who shared the relationship of uncle and nephew.

Krishna's only daughter, Shyamala, was now getting married to a Professor of Pharmacy from their native place, Tirunelveli. Shyam's only son was already married and settled in the Netherlands.

On the day before the wedding, Shyam and his wife, Smitha, arrived at Krishna's palatial residence in Vannarpettai, near Tirunelveli Junction.

Seeing Shyam after nearly twenty years, Krishna, his wife, and their daughter warmly welcomed him and Smitha. They were delighted to meet again, and the family reunion brought back several old memories.

The wedding celebrations went on beautifully. After spending two pleasant days with his relatives, Shyam decided to leave the following morning.

Before his departure, Krishna thanked him warmly for attending the wedding and enquired about Naresh.

"How is our Naresh doing now? What is he doing these days?" Krishna asked.

Shyam replied with a slight hesitation, "Uncle, I had approached you twenty years ago requesting a recommendation for Naresh to join the police department. Since you did not help him as I expected, I was deeply disappointed. That was the reason I stopped contacting you for all these years."

Krishna smiled and patiently explained:

"Shyam, you misunderstood me. I certainly wanted to help Naresh, but I also wanted to ensure that his educational qualifications and professional background were properly utilised. He had completed his education with a background in Pharmacy and Chemistry. I felt that he might have better opportunities in the pharmaceutical industry.

"At that time, I discussed his qualifications with my senior officer and recommended Naresh to him. My senior officer, whose son-in-law had recently started a pharmaceutical company in Singapore, spoke to his son-in-law about Naresh's qualifications and suitability for the new company.

"Accordingly, Naresh received an opportunity to join the newly established company in Singapore. I did not tell Naresh that I had recommended him through my senior officer. He joined the company twenty years ago, worked hard, and gradually developed his career. Today, he has reached the prestigious position of Managing Director of that very company.

"I believed that this opportunity would give him a much brighter future than the one he had originally planned."

Shyam was taken aback by his uncle's explanation. He had never imagined that Krishna had quietly helped Naresh through his professional contacts and guided him towards such a promising career.

He immediately felt sorry for having misunderstood his uncle and maintained distance from him for two decades.

Now he understood that Krishna had never refused to help Naresh. Instead, he had identified his potential and found a suitable opportunity through his senior officer.

Shyam realised that his uncle was not merely a strict and principled police officer but also a thoughtful person who believed in doing the right thing.

He affectionately held Krishna's hands and said, "Uncle, I am sorry. I misunderstood your intentions all these years. Today, I have understood the real meaning of your decision. I am proud of you."

Krishna smiled and embraced his nephew.

After twenty years of silence, a simple conversation had removed a long-standing misunderstanding and brought the family closer once again.

தனது மாமா கிருஷ்ணனிடமிருந்து திருமண அழைப்பிதழ் வந்ததும், மகளின் திருமணத்தில் கலந்துகொள்ள முடிவு செய்தார். கடந்த இருபது ஆண்டுகளாக இருவருக்கும் எந்தவிதமான தொடர்பும் இல்லாமல் இருந்தது. இந்த நிலையில், திருநெல்வேலியில் நடைபெறவிருந்த திருமணத்திற்கு ஷ்யாமையும் அவரது குடும்பத்தினரையும் அழைத்து அழைப்பிதழ் வந்தது அவருக்கு ஆச்சரியத்தையும் மகிழ்ச்சியையும் அளித்தது.

அந்தச் சம்பவத்திற்குப் பிறகு, ஷ்யாம் அலுவலகப் பணிநிமித்தமாக ஜெர்மனி சென்றார். ஒரு மாதத்திற்கு முன்புதான் இந்தியா திரும்பினார். தான் ஜெர்மனியிலிருந்து திரும்பி வந்த தகவலை மாமாவிடம் தெரிவித்தபோது, இந்தத் திருமண அழைப்பிதழ் அவருக்கு வந்தது.

கிருஷ்ணனுக்கும் ஷ்யாமுக்கும் இடையே ஏழு வயது வித்தியாசம் இருந்தது. அவர்கள் மாமா, மருமகன் என்ற உறவைக் கொண்டிருந்தனர்.

கிருஷ்ணனின் ஒரே மகள் ஷியாமளாவுக்கு, அவர்களது சொந்த ஊரான திருநெல்வேலியைச் சேர்ந்த மருந்தியல் பேராசிரியர் ஒருவருடன் திருமணம் நிச்சயிக்கப்பட்டிருந்தது. ஷ்யாமின் ஒரே மகனுக்கு ஏற்கெனவே திருமணமாகி, நெதர்லாந்தில் குடும்பத்துடன் வசித்து வந்தார்.

திருமணத்திற்கு முதல் நாள், ஷ்யாமும் அவரது மனைவி ஸ்மிதாவும் திருநெல்வேலி ஜங்ஷன் அருகிலுள்ள வண்ணாரப்பேட்டையில் அமைந்திருந்த கிருஷ்ணனின் பிரம்மாண்டமான வீட்டிற்கு வந்து சேர்ந்தனர்.

கிட்டத்தட்ட இருபது ஆண்டுகளுக்குப் பிறகு ஷ்யாமைப் பார்த்த கிருஷ்ணனும், அவரது மனைவியும், மகள் ஷியாமளாவும் மிகுந்த மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் அவரையும் ஸ்மிதாவையும் வரவேற்றனர். நீண்ட நாட்களுக்குப் பிறகு சந்தித்த உறவினர்களின் அன்பான வரவேற்பு, பழைய நினைவுகளை மீண்டும் மலரச் செய்தது.

திருமணக் கொண்டாட்டங்கள் மிகவும் சிறப்பாக நடைபெற்றன. இரண்டு நாட்கள் உறவினர்களுடன் மகிழ்ச்சியாகப் பொழுதைக் கழித்த ஷ்யாம், மறுநாள் காலையில் புறப்பட முடிவு செய்தார்.

புறப்படுவதற்கு முன்பு, திருமணத்திற்கு வந்ததற்காக கிருஷ்ணன் அவருக்கு மனமார்ந்த நன்றியைத் தெரிவித்ததுடன், நரேஷைப் பற்றியும் விசாரித்தார்.

"நம்ம நரேஷ் இப்போது எப்படி இருக்கிறான்? என்ன செய்துகொண்டிருக்கிறான்?" என்று கிருஷ்ணன் கேட்டார்.

ஷ்யாம் சற்று தயக்கத்துடன் பதிலளித்தார்.

"மாமா, இருபது ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்பு நரேஷ் காவல்துறையில் சேருவதற்காக உங்களிடம் ஒரு பரிந்துரை கேட்டிருந்தேன். ஆனால், நான் எதிர்பார்த்தபடி நீங்கள் உதவி செய்யவில்லை. அதனால் நான் மிகவும் மனவேதனை அடைந்தேன். அதனால்தான் இத்தனை ஆண்டுகளாக உங்களுடன் தொடர்பு இல்லாமல் இருந்துவிட்டேன்."

கிருஷ்ணன் புன்னகைத்தபடியே பொறுமையாக விளக்கத் தொடங்கினார்.

"ஷ்யாம், நீ என்னைப் புரிந்துகொள்ளவில்லை. நரேஷுக்கு உதவ வேண்டும் என்ற எண்ணம் எனக்கும் நிச்சயமாக இருந்தது. ஆனால், அவனுடைய கல்வித் தகுதியையும் திறமையையும் சரியான முறையில் பயன்படுத்திக்கொள்ளும் வாய்ப்பை ஏற்படுத்தித் தர வேண்டும் என்று நினைத்தேன். அவன் மருந்தியல் மற்றும் வேதியியல் பின்னணியுடன் தனது படிப்பை முடித்திருந்தான். எனவே, மருந்துத் தயாரிப்புத் துறையில் அவனுக்கு இன்னும் சிறந்த எதிர்காலம் அமையும் என்று கருதினேன்.

அந்தச் சமயத்தில், அவனுடைய கல்வித் தகுதிகளைப் பற்றி எனது உயர் அதிகாரியிடம் எடுத்துச் சொன்னேன். அவரிடம் நரேஷைப் பரிந்துரைத்தேன். அந்த உயர் அதிகாரியின் மருமகன் அப்போது சிங்கப்பூரில் புதிதாக ஒரு மருந்து தயாரிப்பு நிறுவனத்தைத் தொடங்கியிருந்தார். எனது உயர் அதிகாரி தனது மருமகனிடம் நரேஷின் கல்வித் தகுதி மற்றும் திறமைகளைப் பற்றிப் பேசினார்.

இருபது ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்பு அந்த நிறுவனத்தில் பணியில் சேர்ந்த நரேஷ், கடினமாக உழைத்து படிப்படியாகத் தனது தொழில் வாழ்க்கையில் முன்னேறினான். இன்று அதே நிறுவனத்தின் நிர்வாக இயக்குநர் (Managing Director) என்ற மிக உயர்ந்த பொறுப்பை அடைந்திருக்கிறான்.

அவன் முதலில் திட்டமிட்டிருந்த பாதையைவிட, இந்த வாய்ப்பு அவனுக்கு மிகவும் பிரகாசமான எதிர்காலத்தைத் தரும் என்று நான் நம்பினேன்."

மாமாவின் விளக்கத்தைக் கேட்ட ஷ்யாம் வியப்பில் ஆழ்ந்தார். கிருஷ்ணன் தனது தொழில்முறை தொடர்புகளைப் பயன்படுத்தி, நரேஷுக்கு இவ்வளவு சிறந்த வாய்ப்பை அமைதியாக ஏற்படுத்திக் கொடுத்திருக்கிறார் என்பதை அவர் கனவிலும் நினைத்துப் பார்க்கவில்லை.

தனது மாமாவைப் புரிந்துகொள்ளாமல், இருபது ஆண்டுகளாக அவருடன் தொடர்பைத் துண்டித்துக்கொண்டதை நினைத்து உடனடியாக வருந்தினார்.

கிருஷ்ணன் நரேஷுக்கு உதவ மறுக்கவில்லை என்பதையும், மாறாக அவனுடைய திறமையை அடையாளம் கண்டு, தனது உயர் அதிகாரியின் மூலம் பொருத்தமான வாய்ப்பை ஏற்படுத்திக் கொடுத்தார் என்பதையும் இப்போது ஷ்யாம் தெளிவாகப் புரிந்துகொண்டார்.

தனது மாமா ஒரு கண்டிப்பான, கொள்கை தவறாத காவல்துறை அதிகாரி மட்டுமல்ல; சரியானதைச் செய்வதில் நம்பிக்கை கொண்ட, பிறருடைய எதிர்காலத்தைப் பற்றிச் சிந்திக்கும் உயர்ந்த மனிதர் என்பதையும் உணர்ந்தார்.

உடனே கிருஷ்ணனின் கைகளை அன்புடன் பற்றிக்கொண்டு,

"மாமா, என்னை மன்னித்துவிடுங்கள். இத்தனை ஆண்டுகளாக உங்கள் நோக்கத்தைத் தவறாகப் புரிந்துகொண்டிருந்தேன். இன்று உங்கள் முடிவுக்குப் பின்னால் இருந்த உண்மையான அர்த்தத்தைப் புரிந்துகொண்டேன். உங்களை நினைத்து நான் பெருமைப்படுகிறேன்" என்றார்.

கிருஷ்ணன் புன்னகையுடன் தனது மருமகனை அன்போடு அணைத்துக்கொண்டார்.

இருபது ஆண்டுகளாக நீடித்த மௌனத்திற்கு, ஒரு எளிய உரையாடல் முற்றுப்புள்ளி வைத்தது. நீண்ட காலமாக இருந்த தவறான புரிதல் நீங்கி, குடும்ப உறவுகள் மீண்டும் அன்புடன் இணைந்தன.

Vaidehi came out of the house and opened the door. An elderly gentleman, around 70 years old, was standing outside. She warmly invited him in and called her daughter, Pavithra.

Pavithra came out, saw the elderly gentleman and greeted him with surprise.

"Hey, Uncle! I never expected you to visit our house. Please come in. Sir, this is my mother, Vaidehi. Mummy, he is Mr. Viswanath. I met him a few days ago at the library. He had accidentally left his wallet there, so I contacted him and returned it."

Viswanath smiled and explained, "Yes, I usually visit the library every morning and spend about an hour reading. On that particular day, I forgot to take my wallet with me. Pavithra contacted me and returned it. It contained an important document and ₹10,000 in cash. More than the money, the document was very important because it was related to my grandson's upcoming trip to the United States."

He then continued, "During our conversation, Pavithra told me about her MBA studies and how she works at the library to earn money for her living expenses. I was impressed by her determination and willingness to face life's challenges. After her father's untimely demise due to a heart attack, she continued her education with the help of a scholarship and successfully completed her MBA.

"The apartment in which you are living was purchased when her father was alive. There is no other regular source of income for the family. She also explained that the outstanding housing loan was settled using her father's service benefits after his demise.

"I was deeply impressed by her self-confidence, determination and commitment to supporting her family. I began to admire her for her positive attitude and independent spirit."

After a brief pause, Viswanath revealed the real reason for his visit.

"I have been searching for a suitable bride for my grandson, Deepak. The recommendation letter for his overseas opportunity was among the documents in my wallet. When Pavithra returned the wallet, I had an opportunity to meet her and learn about her character.

"Our family would be delighted to welcome Pavithra as our daughter-in-law. My grandson is expected to return after a year, and we are willing to wait until then. I have come here to seek your approval and blessings. Both of them are young, and there is no need to hurry."

Vaidehi was overwhelmed by what she heard. Initially, she had been unhappy with Pavithra for accepting a modestly paid job at the library despite having completed an MBA. She had wondered why her daughter was not trying for a better-paying position.

Now, she understood the real reason behind Pavithra's decision. Her daughter was not merely earning a salary; she was taking responsibility for the family and making every effort to stand on her own feet.

Vaidehi happily expressed her consent.

Viswanath was delighted with her response and said, "We are truly blessed. Deepak will be lucky to have Pavithra as his life partner."

Before leaving, Viswanath handed them a large box of sweets.

"Diwali is just a few days away, and I wanted to bring this happy news to your family. I hope we can consider this a joyful beginning to our relationship."

Both mother and daughter were speechless. Their eyes filled with tears of happiness. It was an unexpected proposal that had brought new hope and happiness into their lives.

Vaidehi looked at her daughter with affection and whispered, "A library is truly a treasure house of knowledge. I never realised that this place, which I once thought offered you only a small salary, would open the door to such a wonderful future. I am proud of you, Pavithra. Your honesty, hard work and determination have brought this happiness into our lives."

Pavithra smiled through her tears.

Sometimes, a small act of honesty can create a lifelong relationship. A library may offer books and knowledge, but it can also open the doors to unexpected opportunities, meaningful relationships and a beautiful new beginning.

வைதேகி வீட்டின் உள்ளேயிருந்து வெளியே வந்து கதவைத் திறந்தார். அங்கே சுமார் 70 வயது மதிக்கத்தக்க முதியவர் ஒருவர் நின்றுகொண்டிருந்தார். அவரை அன்புடன் உள்ளே வரவேற்ற வைதேகி, தனது மகள் பவித்ராவை அழைத்தார்.

வெளியே வந்த பவித்ரா, அந்த முதியவரைப் பார்த்ததும் ஆச்சரியத்துடன் வரவேற்றாள்.

“ஆமாம். நான் வழக்கமாக தினமும் காலையில் நூலகத்திற்குச் சென்று சுமார் ஒரு மணி நேரம் புத்தகங்கள் படிப்பதை வழக்கமாகக் கொண்டிருக்கிறேன். அன்றைக்கு ஏதோ அவசரத்தில் என்னுடைய பணப்பையை எடுத்துச் செல்ல மறந்துவிட்டேன். பவித்ரா என்னைத் தொடர்புகொண்டு அதைத் திருப்பிக் கொடுத்தாள். அந்தப் பணப்பையில் ஒரு முக்கியமான ஆவணமும், ரூ.10,000 ரொக்கப் பணமும் இருந்தன. பணத்தைவிட அந்த ஆவணம்தான் எனக்கு மிகவும் முக்கியமானது. ஏனென்றால், அது என்னுடைய பேரனின் அமெரிக்கப் பயணம் தொடர்பான முக்கியமான ஆவணம்.

“அப்போது பவித்ராவுடன் பேசும் வாய்ப்பு கிடைத்தது. அவள் எம்.பி.ஏ. படிப்பை முடித்திருப்பதாகவும், தன்னுடைய அன்றாடச் செலவுகளைச் சமாளிப்பதற்காக நூலகத்தில் வேலை செய்து வருவதாகவும் கூறினாள். வாழ்க்கையில் வரும் சவால்களைத் தைரியமாக எதிர்கொள்ளும் அவளுடைய மனப்பக்குவமும், தன்னம்பிக்கையும் என்னை மிகவும் கவர்ந்தன.

“அவளுடைய தந்தை எதிர்பாராத விதமாக மாரடைப்பால் காலமான பிறகும், கல்வியைப் பாதியில் நிறுத்திவிடாமல் உதவித்தொகையின் மூலம் தொடர்ந்து படித்து எம்.பி.ஏ. பட்டத்தையும் வெற்றிகரமாகப் பெற்றிருக்கிறாள்.

“நீங்கள் தற்போது வசிக்கும் இந்த அடுக்குமாடிக் குடியிருப்பை அவளுடைய தந்தை உயிருடன் இருந்தபோதே வாங்கியிருக்கிறார். குடும்பத்திற்கு வேறு நிரந்தர வருமானம் எதுவும் இல்லை. அவருடைய மறைவுக்குப் பிறகு கிடைத்த பணிக்காலப் பலன்களைக் கொண்டு வீட்டுக் கடனையும் முழுமையாகச் செலுத்தி முடித்திருக்கிறார்கள்.

“இத்தகைய சூழ்நிலையிலும் பவித்ரா காட்டும் தன்னம்பிக்கை, விடாமுயற்சி, குடும்பப் பொறுப்புணர்வு ஆகியவை என்னை மிகவும் கவர்ந்தன. அவளுடைய நேர்மறையான அணுகுமுறையையும், சுயமாகத் தன் காலில் நிற்க வேண்டும் என்ற மன உறுதியையும் கண்டு நான் அவளை மிகவும் மதிக்கத் தொடங்கினேன்” என்றார்.

சிறிது நேரம் இடைவெளிவிட்டு, தாம் வந்ததற்கான உண்மையான காரணத்தை விஸ்வநாத் தெரிவித்தார்.

“என்னுடைய பேரன் தீபக்கிற்குப் பொருத்தமான பெண்ணைத் தேடிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறேன். அவனுடைய வெளிநாட்டு வேலைவாய்ப்புக்கான பரிந்துரைக் கடிதமும் அன்றைக்கு என்னுடைய பணப்பையில் இருந்தது. பவித்ரா அந்தப் பணப்பையைத் திருப்பிக் கொடுத்தபோதுதான் அவளைச் சந்தித்து, அவளுடைய குணநலன்களைப் பற்றி அறிந்துகொள்ளும் வாய்ப்பு கிடைத்தது.

“பவித்ராவை எங்கள் வீட்டின் மருமகளாக வரவேற்பதில் எங்கள் குடும்பத்தினர் அனைவரும் மிகவும் மகிழ்ச்சி அடைவோம். என்னுடைய பேரன் இன்னும் ஒரு வருடத்தில் நாடு திரும்புவான் என்று எதிர்பார்க்கிறோம். அதுவரை காத்திருக்கவும் நாங்கள் தயாராக இருக்கிறோம்.

“உங்களுடைய சம்மதத்தையும் ஆசீர்வாதத்தையும் பெறுவதற்காகத்தான் இன்று இங்கு வந்திருக்கிறேன். இருவரும் இளையவர்கள். எனவே, திருமண விஷயத்தில் அவசரப்பட வேண்டிய அவசியமில்லை” என்றார்.

இதைக் கேட்ட வைதேகி உணர்ச்சிவசப்பட்டார்.

எம்.பி.ஏ. படித்து முடித்த தனது மகள், நல்ல சம்பளம் கிடைக்கும் வேலையைத் தேடாமல், நூலகத்தில் குறைந்த சம்பளத்திற்கு வேலை செய்வதை நினைத்து ஆரம்பத்தில் அவர் வருத்தப்பட்டிருந்தார். அதைவிட நல்ல வேலைக்குச் செல்ல முயற்சி செய்யாமல் ஏன் இப்படிச் செய்கிறாள் என்றும் பலமுறை யோசித்திருந்தார்.

ஆனால், இப்போது பவித்ராவின் முடிவுக்குப் பின்னால் இருந்த உண்மையான காரணம் அவருக்குப் புரிந்தது.

தன் மகள் சம்பளம் சம்பாதிப்பதற்காக மட்டும் வேலை செய்யவில்லை. குடும்பத்தின் பொறுப்பை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டு, யாரையும் எதிர்பார்க்காமல் சுயமாகத் தன் காலில் நிற்க வேண்டும் என்ற எண்ணத்துடன் செயல்பட்டு வருகிறாள் என்பதை உணர்ந்தார்.

வைதேகி மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் தனது சம்மதத்தைத் தெரிவித்தார்.

அவருடைய பதிலைக் கேட்ட விஸ்வநாத் மிகவும் மகிழ்ச்சியடைந்தார்.

“நாங்கள் உண்மையிலேயே கொடுத்து வைத்தவர்கள். பவித்ரா எங்கள் வீட்டிற்கு மருமகளாக வந்தால் தீபக் மிகவும் அதிர்ஷ்டசாலியாக இருப்பான்” என்றார்.

புறப்படுவதற்கு முன்பு, விஸ்வநாத் அவர்கள் இருவரிடமும் ஒரு பெரிய இனிப்புப் பெட்டியைக் கொடுத்தார்.

“இன்னும் சில நாட்களில் தீபாவளி வரப்போகிறது. இந்த மகிழ்ச்சியான செய்தியை உங்கள் குடும்பத்தினருடன் பகிர்ந்துகொள்ள வேண்டும் என்றுதான் இனிப்புகளுடன் வந்தேன். நம்முடைய உறவுக்கு இது ஒரு இனிய தொடக்கமாக அமையும் என்று நம்புகிறேன்” என்றார்.

தாயும் மகளும் என்ன பேசுவது என்று தெரியாமல் மகிழ்ச்சியில் திகைத்துப் போனார்கள். இருவருடைய கண்களிலும் ஆனந்தக் கண்ணீர் பெருகியது. எதிர்பாராத இந்தத் திருமணப் பேச்சு அவர்களுடைய வாழ்க்கையில் புதிய நம்பிக்கையையும் மகிழ்ச்சியையும் ஏற்படுத்தியது.

வைதேகி தன் மகளைப் பாசத்துடன் பார்த்து மெதுவாகக் கூறினார்.

“உண்மையிலேயே நூலகம் என்பது அறிவுக் களஞ்சியம் என்பதை இப்போதுதான் உணர்கிறேன். நான் ஒருகாலத்தில் உனக்கு ஒரு சிறிய சம்பளம் மட்டுமே கிடைக்கும் இடம் என்று நினைத்த இந்த நூலகம், உன்னுடைய எதிர்காலத்திற்கு இவ்வளவு அழகான வழியைத் திறக்கும் என்று கனவிலும் நினைக்கவில்லை. பவித்ரா, உன்னை நினைத்து நான் மிகவும் பெருமைப்படுகிறேன். உன்னுடைய நேர்மை, கடின உழைப்பு, விடாமுயற்சி ஆகியவையே இன்று நம் குடும்பத்திற்கு இந்த மகிழ்ச்சியைக் கொண்டுவந்துள்ளன” என்றார்.

பவித்ரா ஆனந்தக் கண்ணீருடன் புன்னகைத்தாள்.
