Letter Published in The National UAE on 28Feb 19 India and Pakistan must not escalate tensions further Two Indian jets have now been shot down in Pakistani airspace, following the recent Pulwama attack by Jaish-e-Mohammad that killed 40 Indian soldiers. I believe that most Indian citizens stand behind prime minister Narendra Modi, who decided to strike targets in Pakistan in response. People in both countries have waited for decades for friendly relations but Mr Modi is determined to make decisions that will safeguard his people. There is bound to be fervent debate on this but Mr Modi’s decision is justified in my view.K Ragavan, Bengaluru

In the past, the Oscars awards have mostly been dominated by actors from the western world. But this time, the Arab world was celebrated at the prestigious awards show.Most celebrated was Rami Malek, raised in the US by Egyptian parents, who picked up the best actor Academy Award for his role in the Freddie Mercury biopic Bohemian Rhapsody. Immense creative and innovative talent is visible today across the Arab world. Figures like Malek are laudable.Egypt is itself known for its extraordinary cultural history and now it is receiving due credit in the global cinema industry too.K Ragavan, Bengaluru

 Rohini.This is  Special cake made with milk and sugar little Milk maid i added.
Vasanthy.Taste is superb.Ilove this.

Kathambari.I too love this.I will take two
Nirmala.I will also
Prasanna.I love this.But i am little careful in my health.
Nirmala.worried for Diabetes
Prasanna. yes,today diabetes is common with young people.To be on the safe side i am careful.
Nirmala.I am worried for our Seminar session tomorrow.I have preparedbut still worrying
Kathambari.What is the subject you are going to talk if you can tell
Nirmala.About Global terrorism.
Prasanna.Good subject.Today  this  is the main threat for the Globe.
Nirmala.Yes. i have put my points  to eradicate this menace.I have given twenty minutes for this topic.

Vasanthy.Today delivery is most important  for a good administration.

Tribute to Writer Batlagundu Subramanian Ramiah 546.

Today i remembered another interesting personality from the Tamil Literary worldis none other than Batlagundu Subramanian Ramiah popularly known as B.S.Ramiah.His contributions to Story ,Novels,Film,and stage   was immense.Known for his simplicity and humbleness.His first story malarum manamum  published  in popular weekly magazine Ananda Vikatan  and won third prize was laudable.In his young age he fought for  salt Satyagraha  and went to jail shows his attachment to the country.He was associated with late famous actor S.V.Sahasranaman in his Seva stage troop and written many stage plays and won thousands of fans appreciation.1982 he was bestowed the prestigious Sahitya Akadamy  Awardis worth to be mentioned here.I have seen two of his plays PoliceKaran Magal and TherotiMagan.Many of his stories  came as films and  well accepted  by cine fans.Even though he has departed more than three and half decades his beautiful creations in front of us.BSR is his magic name in the Literary world.Today i am very happy to tribute this Late  GreatLegand.

This piece on the latest developments in Sudan was a fascinating read. With three decades of military rule behind him, and following weeks of protests, president Omar Al Bashir has declared a state of emergency in Sudan. It demonstrates his intention to bid for another presidential term in the coming 2020 election.In the coming weeks, he should take action on economic development and welfare.As ever, the people of Sudan have a right to a peaceful and prosperous life, underpinned by government induced development. We can only hope Mr Al Bashir’s cabinet replacements and new powers will help to bring that about. Whatever the outcome, this will have major implications for Sudan’s global status.K Ragavan, Bengaluru
