For the past few days Mysore Climate was very nice.Cool breeze in the after noonand evening slight drizzle .Prasanna's mother was feeling better and started going to Vontikopal Venkateswara temple which she  likes very much.When she entered the main entrance Murthy was entering from the other side with his wife.
Murthy.Amma,how are you.
Mother.I am fine,How are you
Murthy.I am fine.Aarti  also come.By the timeAarti wished mother.
Mother.How are you Aarti and daughter
Aarti.She is fine.Now she has finished her studies and looking for job.
Mother.She is a bright girl.She will get a good job.
Aarti.With your blessings she will get soon.
By the time Murthy's mobile was ringing.Raj was on the other side
Hello Murthy,Where are you
Murthy.I am in Vontikopal temple.
Raj.What time you will come  home.
Murthy.I met Prasanna's motherand talking.
Raj.Nice,I will come  to your house tomorrow.
Murthy.Tell me what is  the matter.
Raj.Ram has sent me a mail asking me to suggest a Journalist for this region.Immediately i thought of your daughter Nirmala.She is a bright girl suitable for this post.
Murthy.Thank you.Where is the job.
Raj.She should be based in Karnataka coordinating local newses,and some interviews with a leading Dubai based Paper.
Murthy.Will she can handle this
Raj.Certainly.She can deliver.
Murthy.As you wish.I will ask her and Come back to you.
Raj.By now,expecting your reply tomorrow.
Murthy.O.K.bYE
After this Conversation Aarti was looking at Mother
I told you Amma ,your Blessings she will get soon.Now Nirmala is getting a offer.
Murthy.Amma,i will drop you and go.
Then all left Leaving Mother in her house and Murthy was going to his house.

Today i am going to pen another interesting  Versatile personality from the Bolly Wood fILm Industry is none other than  Late Actor,Producer,Director Dev Anand.Known for his Stylish  action in many films liked by one and all.He has given many memorable films by his action and Directorial touch should be applauded.He has acted with all popular Heroines of Yester years and top class actors like Late,Pran,Suraiya,Vijay Anand,) Popular  Waheeda Rahman,PremChopra,Zeenat Aman,HemaMalini and many others.He won many awards,life time achievement award,and Padma Bhushan award was bestowed to him in 2011 if i am right.He was also one of the Co founder of Popular Navketan International production house.His two brothers  ChetanAnand,and Vijay Anand were also very popular Directors who has created many remarkable movies.His films will have good entertainment with music,and lovely Cinematography.If i  remember correct V.Ratra,and Fali Mistry have contributed many of his films Under Navketan banner as Cinematographers.He was Compared with Famous Holly Wood  Actor Gregory Peck,and Some Compared with RobertVaugan.What ever be the Comparison DevAnand has got his own Charismatic Stylish Personality no one can deny.I am one of ardant admirer of this Legend.Even though he has acted in Hundreds of films i have seen few remarkable movies of this Doyen.Those films are,Guide,JewelThief,KaalaPani,Hare Rama Hare Krishna,PremPujari,Chupe Rustam,Gambler  and ,Insaniyat,Many films i could n't remember.I am writing this Column  purely with my little knowledge and if there is any error can be regretted. Today i am Very happy to tribute this great legend.

I enjoyed reading the Gulf News editorial about the Dubai Opera (‘Dubai Opera raises the bar for cultural unity’, Gulf News, August 31). Dubai has seen many developments over the years in all areas, with proven records and this latest dramatic development of the opera is good news for the region. Above all, the inauguration was done by the Spanish Singer Placido Domingo was the added attraction for this opera. Today Dubai is the talk of the town on the world stage, it’s no wonder the tourist traffic is increasing.

Wearing a burkini shows a sign of modesty and faith in Islam and it has taken traction with many women. But, I don’t think freedom can be obtained by wearing a burkini. Freedom is individuals’ wishes and desire. The burkini gives modesty and respect.

David Lean’s fan

In my evening meeting with friends, we usually discuss various topics. Last week, we were talking about famous Hollywood directors. When my turn came, I mentioned about English film director, producer, screenwriter and editor, Sir David Lean, who is responsible for epic films such as  The Bridge on the River Kwai,  Lawrence of Arabia and Doctor Zhivago. 

When I talked about this legend, my surprised friends asked whether I consume memory pills, as his super hit films dated decades ago. I replied that when one is passionate about certain things, memory does not fade easily.

Needless to say, Lean made that evening memorable.

In the global scenario, most countries are taking care of their senior citizens with healthcare and pensions. Despite many developments in India, senior citizens are not taken care of. Recent statistics also reveals in the print media that India is lagging in pensions. Today with the mounting inflation and the drastic reduction in the bank deposits interest rates, most senior citizens, like me, who are not getting pensions are most affected. The government has completely neglected senior citizens who have contributed their share for the country’s development when they were young. Recently, the government has revised the pay hikes for the retired government servants and this should be applauded, but at the same time, the government should think about the senior citizens who are not getting a pension, but fully depending on their bank deposit interest for their livelihood.

Cost of living is also growing and the medical expenses, including drugs, are also growing. It makes senior citizens panic. At the retirement age, one should have a peaceful life without much worry. This is the normal expectation. I appeal to my government to rethink the bank interest rate to the old structure, which will help all who are not getting a pension and need to meet their monthly requirements. I hope the Indian government will act on this valid issue.
