Small Story 697.

 Small  Story – 697

Life is Beautiful – 42

The doorbell at Ram's house rang. Ram opened the door. Raj was standing outside.

Raj did not usually visit in the morning, so Ram asked in surprise:

Ram: "Raj, what brings you here so early this morning?"

Raj: "You're right. I came to meet someone in this area. Then I thought I might as well stop by and greet you. May I come in?"

Ram: "Of course, please come in. This is Prasanna."

Prasanna: "Greetings, sir."

Raj: "I'm very pleased to meet you. You're one of Ram's students, aren't you?"

Prasanna: "Yes. He is not only my teacher but also my mentor and philosopher."

Raj: "I'm a journalist. I live a short distance from here. What do you do?"

At that moment, Ram interrupted.

Ram: "Raj, Prasanna has recently joined Mr. Murthy's company. He'll be starting work next week. By the way, I haven't even asked why you came."

Raj: "I almost forgot! A friend of mine is going abroad for two years. Until he returns, he wants to rent out his house to a trustworthy family. He asked me if I could recommend a good family that would take proper care of the house."

Ram: "How much rent is he expecting? And what kind of house is it?"

Raj: "It's an independent house. He's not too concerned about the rent. His main priority is finding a responsible family that will look after the house well. He's asking for only ₹5,000 per month."

Ram: "In that case, I recommend Prasanna. Only he and his mother will be living there. He's just beginning his professional career, and this rent would be very suitable for them."

Raj: "I'm really happy that I found the right tenant for my friend's house so easily. Prasanna, are you comfortable with this rent? In this neighborhood, it's very rare to find a house for less than ₹10,000 a month."

Prasanna: "It is because of my mentor and philosopher, Ram, that I've been given this opportunity. I truly am fortunate."

Just then...
