I have had the opportunity to watch many of his films, beginning with Aasphota, directed by the award-winning filmmaker T. S. Nagabharana. Over the years, Dattanna has portrayed a wide range of characters under the direction of many leading Kannada filmmakers. His ability to bring depth, authenticity, dignity, and individuality to every character is truly remarkable.
His long-standing association with the renowned director Nagathihalli Chandrashekar, spanning several decades, is particularly admirable. Their collaboration has resulted in memorable contributions to Kannada cinema.
