Sportive spirit Article Published in The Gulf Today,UAE On17,Sep.11.(217 th) Article.

I was watching a programme on TV about the Indian hockey team’s victory and an award announced by the government. The team expressed displeasure about the award amount. Being the country’s national game, they felt they deserved a better deal, like the Indian cricket team. Now the issue is settled, but I feel there should not be any bias between various games in future. All kinds of sports should be encouraged with equal vigour.

This tragic incident killed 10 casualities and 70 injuired was sad. Inspite of the driver was not under the influence of alcohol, and took sufficient rest before took the train. However, investigation is on and the real attributing reason will come out soon. I pray for the victims and speedy recovery for the injuired people. Recent months more train accidents are more visible. K. Ragavan., Chennai, India
