Blessings of Knowledgeable PeopleStory Story
Ram always admired meeting good friends and people with a strong sense of social responsibility. After retiring as Director of the CBI, he was fortunate to build meaningful friendships with broad-minded individuals. At 62, he maintained good health and disciplined habits.
His wife, Vasanthy, a retired investigative journalist from a multinational channel, shared his values. The couple lived peacefully in Bengaluru, while their only daughter, Veena, was settled in Singapore with her husband, Pawan.
One evening, after meeting an old colleague, Ram returned to his apartment. Vasanthy greeted him with a warm smile.
“Today we are truly blessed,” she said. “Our manager, Kesav, visited Tirupati and brought prasadam for us. He also shared wonderful news.”
She continued, “At the age of 80his long-cherished ambition has been fulfilled. His book has finally been published. As a passionate storyteller with a deep human touch, this achievement means everything to him.”
Kesav had expressed heartfelt gratitude to his grandchildren, who helped him publish his work on Amazon. The news reached him while he was offering prayers to Lord Tirupati, filling his eyes with tears of joy.
“He never expected anything in return,” Vasanthy added. “His happiness comes from expressing his thoughts, connecting with people, and receiving appreciation from knowledgeable minds. That is his true success.”
She further mentioned that Kesav, a former Chief Director of the CBI and now an author, had always been Ram’s favorite mentor.
Hearing this, Ram felt deeply content. “It is truly a blessing,” he said, accepting the prasadam with reverence. “A life dedicated to passion, knowledge, and humility is always rewarded.”
Vasanthy nodded in agreement. “Yes, indeed. He is blessed by the Lord.”
