Small Story 386: Shivanna’s Sweet Reunion After visiting his friends in Hassan and Mysore, Shivanna returned to his usual morning group meeting at 7 a.m., bringing sweets to share. He was warmly greeted by his friends as he offered them the famous Mysore Pak from the renowned Guru Sweets. Everyone relished the rich taste of the Mysore Pak while Shivanna shared his joyful experiences. He spoke enthusiastically about witnessing the grand Dasara festival in Mysore, especially the dazzling lights and mesmerizing drone show that lit up the sky. The conversation turned to the beauty and heritage of Mysore—a city known not only for its traditions and culture but also for its warmth and hospitality. Shivanna then whispered with a smile, “I was so happy to meet my old colleagues Gubbanna and Satish in Mysore and Hassan. We spent a wonderful half day together catching up.” He also praised Hassan, calling it a beautiful city known for its educational background and pleasant climate, often compared to Ooty.
