Small Story 430.

Small Story 430. Waiting for the Outcome Venugopal reached his office after completing his usual morning routine. A versatile journalist, he had founded his own news agency after retiring from a reputed television channel where he had served for twenty-five years, earning immense respect and recognition. After starting his independent agency, three stalwarts joined him—one of them was Pratibha, an exceptional analyst known for her precise election surveys. Her predictions had a remarkable record: every survey she conducted had matched the actual results. As Venugopal settled at his desk, his phone rang. It was his old friend, Hanumanth. “Hey, what’s your prediction about the ongoing election results?” Hanumanth asked eagerly. Venugopal smiled. “I’m confident. Our stalwart Pratibha’s prediction will prevail. Her studies are always accurate and absolutely neutral. I’ve seen her earlier forecasts, and I believe today will be no different.” Hanumanth chuckled. “Good to hear that. We’ll wait and see. Hopefully, we get a clear picture before noon.” “Thank you, buddy,” Venugopal replied. After the call ended, he leaned back and whispered to himself, “Let’s hope my channel earns a good name today too… just like every time.” He glanced at the clock, anticipation rising. Everyone around him was waiting—for the outcome that could shape the day… and perhaps his agency’s future. K.Ragavan 15-11-25
