Small Story 502.

Small Story 502: Entrance Exam Encounter with Friends Poornima came to Nivedha’s flat early in the morning. Nivedha and her son Arjun were already waiting for her. Poornima’s son, Vishnu, is Arjun’s classmate. Both boys are studying in the 12th grade this year, and today they were going to write an important entrance exam at the Jayanagar center. They were writing the exam with hope and determination, dreaming of getting admission to the colleges of their choice. Before starting, Poornima and Nivedha wanted to receive blessings from Poornima’s father, Ram, so that the boys would perform well in the exam and secure colleges according to their priorities. The Jayanagar exam center was flooded with students. Nearly 1,800 students were appearing in the first batch alone. Everyone had their own dreams and priorities, but the number of seats was limited. In today’s fast-paced world, luck plays a role in everything—not just college admissions, but many other areas of life as well. Amidst all this competition, only a few are fortunate enough to get what they desire. While waiting, Poornima and Nivedha met three of their friends, who had also come with their sons for the same exam. Since there was a three-hour wait before the exam ended, instead of standing outside anxiously, the mothers decided to make good use of the time. They went to a nearby theatre and enjoyed watching an old Kannada film, sharing laughter and nostalgia while their children worked toward their future. K.Ragavan 26-1-26
