The Gulf News story on dialogue being the only solution to Yemen’s crisis was good to read (‘‘Dialogue only solution to Yemen crisis’ NZ PM’, Gulf News, April 28). The ongoing crisis in Yemen can be solved by the legitimate government and this is why it should be reinstalled for negotiation purposes. This was the comment given by the New Zealand Prime Minister John Key who was visiting the UAE and Saudi Arabia last week. As a non-controversial country, New Zealand has seen dramatic growth over the years and its Prime Minister’s suggestion to Yemen’s government for peace and stability in the region for the future should be taken.

Tribute to Cinematographer N.S.Varma 349.

Today i remembered another  interesting film personality  from Tamil film Industry is none other than Cinematographer N.S.Varma. Five decades back he has  done a Wonderful work in the film industry.He was associated with Devar films for many of their films.He has worked with Director M.A.Thirumugam for many films.Late M.G.R,,Asokan,Nambiar,Kannamba and many others  also worked with him.He has his own talents  on taking the shots.Good frame work both indoor and out door will be more visible from this Stalwart.He has given number of pictures to his credit and all are remarkable.I have seen few films of this Veteran.Those films are,Vettaikaran,(old) Needikupin  Pasam,Vivasayee,Mugarasi,Thanipiravi,Ther thiruviza,Kannithai,Ellam un kairasi,Arunothayam,Thaikuthalai magan,Dharmam thalaikakum and many i  could n't remember.
Devar films  has given memorable  pictures five decades back with  with  Crisp dialoques by   ,Arur Das ,Cinematography  by N.S .Varma and M.A.Thirumugam as Director for many years .Today i am very happy to tribute this Wonderful Cinematographer.

Provide BSNL Services
The BSNL has not been providing telephone connections to Kumar Castles and Palm Grove Enclave
complex on Gubbalala Main road. It has not taken any action despite our several appeals.BSNL is a huge establishment and they should cater the needs of the people living in Gubbalala area.Hope the authorities Concernedwill address this issueas early as possible.

The Gulf News story on New York City getting its first Indian-born female judge was an interesting read (‘New York City gets its first India-born woman judge’, Gulf News, April 29). According to the report, 43-year-old Raja Rajeswari migrated to the US as a teenager and later spent her time in several bureaus and I believe this is laudable. She has made Indians proud. She is the first woman judge honoured in Staten Island. Kudos to Rajeswari.

Should people still have the option to use paper in the form of textbooks for school, documents and billing and books?  People need to be taught

People have been using paper for years for billing, teaching purposes and documentation. Digital formats are convenient and save the environment, but many are not aware of how to use this technology. People should be trained in this concept as it takes some time for material to be introduced in the digital forum. Overall, using digital systems are good, provided every one knows how.

Changing nature

My city  Bengaluru  has seen in recent times an ou tpour of heavy rains.

Over the past month, the weather has changed drastically. I used to go for evening walks, which due to these rains has been discontinued.

My evening walk disruption is nothing compared to the loss that my friend who deals in agriculture has been facing. He told me that his mango crops were being spoilt as a result of these unusual dense rain showers.

I felt his pain and anguish and expressed a thought that like the changing of nature of some people, nature itself changes drastically. I also felt the same way on the recent earthquake in Nepal. Who knows the ways of nature!

Fresh aftershocks create panic in the North East of India, there has been more fear (‘Fresh aftershocks set panic in India’, Gulf News, April 28). The recent earthquake in Nepal saw a lot of damage and even more casualties, now India’s North Eastern state has witnessed tremors. This makes people more panicked and nervous. Many lost their homes and are now sleeping outside, which is a tragic part to this story. I Pray for the victims who lost their lives and wish a speedy recovery for the injured.
