Life is Beautiful 729.

 Small Story 729

Life Is Beautiful – 74

Kaadhambari was talking to her grandmother. After finishing their conversation, she turned to Ram and said:

“I thought Mummy would return this evening from Muscat after attending a wedding. But her friend asked her to stay for two more days, and she could not refuse. I was a little upset because I thought my mother would be back today. But after hearing the other news, I am very happy.”

Ram and Prasanna looked at her with interest and curiosity.

Kaadhambari continued:

“My grandmother is now 70 years old, but she is still very active. She works as a consultant in the field of advertising, particularly in creating and designing promotional literature and concepts for various companies. She is highly experienced and an expert in her field.

“Recently, a pharmaceutical company from Ras Al Khaimah approached her and engaged her services to design their promotional literature. She studied B.Sc. Chemistry and Arts in Mumbai and has been working independently for several decades. Through her hard work, dedication and creativity, she has established a very good name for herself.

“She is not only my grandmother but also my good friend, guide and mentor. She is my mother’s mother, and she has always been a pillar of strength for our family.

“My father passed away when I was just five years old due to cardiac arrest. Since then, my grandmother has been a great source of strength, courage and inspiration to all of us. She took care of our family and guided us through difficult times.

“She is truly an amazing grandmother. Even at the age of 70, she keeps herself active, independent and useful to society. Anusha Madam is a well-known and respected person in Dubai, particularly among people in the media and advertising circles. Almost everyone in those fields knows her and holds her in high regard.”

Kaadhambari smiled and said:

“You both can take some rest now. In the evening, you can go to the nearby mall, look around and have a nice time. You have had a long and interesting day.”

Turning to Prasanna, she added warmly:

“Prasanna, I wish you a safe journey to the famous automobile-manufacturing and pharmaceutical country. Stay in touch, and I wish you all the very best for this new journey in your life. Good luck!”

Then she looked at Ram and said:

“See you tomorrow at the office.”

With that, Kaadhambari left.

Ram and Prasanna looked at each other. Both remained silent for a moment, reflecting on the interesting revelations about Kaadhambari’s family and, particularly, the remarkable life of her grandmother, Anusha Madam.

There was much more to Kaadhambari’s family than either of them had imagined.

To be continued…
