Proud of His Friend
Ram picked up the phone and was pleasantly surprised to hear the voice of Investigation Chief OO1.
OO1: “Good evening, Mr. Ram. Atkinson called me and narrated all your latest developments. Your marriage, which you had planned decades ago, finally taking place is truly a blessing from God. It also reflects your nature—you never expected anything in return from anyone.
“I am extremely proud of my friend. Atkinson also told me about the new project that has been entrusted to you, which you will be leading along with Kaadhambari, your daughter in every sense. I am very happy to hear about your successful visit to the Middle East.
“Let me congratulate you once again. When your better half arrives here for her US visit, we must all have a party together. Take care. My better half also joins me in congratulating you.
“We both compliment you on your choice. You and Vasanthi are truly an ideal couple. Bye for now.”
Ram was deeply delighted by the wishes of the amazing Investigation Chief. The respect and affection OO1 showed towards him touched his heart.
Everyone around him listened to the conversation and told Ram, “You are truly fortunate to have the association of OO1. We are all proud to have your friendship and association.”
After that, Ram took some rest and spent some happy moments playing with his little friend, Tommy.
That night, Murthy invited Ram to join him for dinner at his house. Raj left with great happiness, delighted that his dear friend had finally returned home after his memorable journey abroad.
Ram enjoyed a delicious dinner with his favourite milagu rasam, followed by a tasty dessert. After dinner, he returned home.
Tommy had settled comfortably in his old place and happily ate his usual night meal.
A few minutes later, Ram’s phone rang again.
This time, it was his better half, Vasanthi.
Vasanthi: “Ram, have you reached safely? Did you meet all your friends?”
Hearing her sweet and affectionate voice, Ram felt extremely happy.
Ram: “Yes, Vasanthi. I reached safely. I distributed all the sweets to our friends, and everyone appreciated the choice I made decades ago.”
Vasanthi smiled.
Vasanthi: “Here too, my friends and Grandma’s friends have been telling me exactly the same thing.”
Both of them smiled, feeling the warmth of their long-awaited reunion.
Vasanthi: “Take care and sleep well. I’ll call you tomorrow.”
Ram: “Good night, Vasanthi. Bye for now.”
She ended the call, and Ram too went to sleep almost immediately, exhausted from the day’s travel and overwhelmed by the happiness of being back home.
