Life Is Beautiful – 97

A Memorable Celebration

The next evening, Ram, Vasanthi, and Anusha Madam reached Dasaprakash Paradise and checked the arrangements for the special gathering.

The hotel staff informed them that 50 seats had been arranged in 12 circular tables, and dinner would be served after the meeting. Five chairs had also been placed on the stage for the guests who would speak.

At 6 p.m., OO1, his wife, Ranjitha, and her parents arrived. Within a few minutes, all the invited guests had also gathered. The atmosphere was warm and cheerful, and it was wonderful to see so many friends and well-wishers coming together to celebrate Ram and Vasanthi's marriage.

At around 6:30 p.m., the meeting began. The Chief Guest, OO1, was invited onto the stage, followed by Srivatsava Murthy, Managing Director of the organisation.

Ranjitha welcomed everyone and explained the special reason for the gathering.

Ranjitha:

“Dear friends, ladies and gentlemen, we are all here today to celebrate the marriage of our beloved Professor and writer, Ram, and his better half, Vasanthi. Their relationship began many decades ago, and after years of separation and many unexpected turns in life, they were finally reunited and married in the Arab world.

“It is a very special and emotional occasion for all of us. I now request our Chief Guest, OO1, to address the gathering and bless the couple.”

OO1 came forward and began his speech.

OO1:

“Dear friends, ladies and gentlemen, today is a very special occasion. Ram is a dedicated person who has always believed in accepting whatever comes into life with courage and faith.

“At the age of 57, after many years of waiting and believing, he has been blessed with his better half, Vasanthi, who is 53. Today, we have all assembled here to wish this wonderful couple a very happy, healthy, peaceful, and prosperous married life in the years to come.”

All the guests applauded and shouted together:

“Happy married life to Ram and Vasanthi!”

After a few minutes of greetings and applause, OO1 continued his speech.

OO1:

“Let me now come to the remarkable journey behind this reunion.

“My old friend and colleague, Atkinson, invited Ram to Dubai through Kaadhambari, the anchor of his channel. Later, Ram was reunited with his old friend Vasanthi, whom he had once planned to marry. Due to various circumstances, they were separated for many years, and their reunion after 27 years can only be described as a matter of destiny and God's will.

“Another important recent development is that Ram has been entrusted with leading a new concept in blogging and storytelling. I am very happy that I have arranged a place for his new venture, Bloggers Paradise, in Mysore.

“This new venture has the potential to add another milestone to the creative life of Mysore. After Ram returns from his United States trip, the project will take shape.

“I wish Ram and his entire team great success in this new venture. My heartfelt blessings and best wishes are also with Ram and Vasanthi for a wonderful married life.”

The guests applauded warmly.

After OO1, Dr. Srivatsava spoke about Ram's knowledge, particularly his understanding of pharmaceutical formulations and his long-standing interest in learning.

Following him, Murthy, Raj, Athmarao, and Prasanna each spoke about their association with Ram and shared their affection, admiration, and memorable experiences with him.

At around 8 p.m., all the guests took their seats, and the dinner buffet was served. There were three varieties of sweets along with many of the guests' favourite dishes. The dinner was accompanied by the pleasant background music of old Kannada and Hindi songs.

Several guests came forward with gifts and greetings for Ram and Vasanthi. Ram received them with gratitude but smiled and said:

Ram:

“No presents, please. Your presence here today is the greatest gift.”

The guests were filled with affection and happiness for Professor and writer Ram and his better half, Vasanthi, a banker. The entire evening was filled with warmth, friendship, and love.

Finally, Ranjitha gave the concluding speech.

Ranjitha:

“Friends, one of the most astonishing and beautiful aspects of Ram and Vasanthi's story is that their journey began in Karnataka, particularly in Coorg, continued through many memorable occasions in Mysore, and has now come full circle with their reunion and marriage.

“Their story shows how life can take unexpected turns and yet bring two people together at the right moment. I feel they are truly blessed.”

Everyone applauded enthusiastically.

After a beautiful dinner and a memorable evening, the guests took leave with happy hearts. Before they departed, Ram presented each guest with a beautiful gift as a token of his love and gratitude for their presence.

It was truly an unforgettable celebration of love, friendship, destiny, and a new beginning in the beautiful life of Ram and Vasanthi.
