Tribute to Mighty Director ManiRatnam's efforts and expectations. பொன்னியின் செல்வன் எதிர்பார்ப்புகள். இன்று நான் பதிய போவது,பல்லாயிரக்கணக்கான ரசிகர்களின் எதிர்பார்ப்பு ,வர போகும் பிரமாண்ட திரை படம் பொன்னின்செல்வனை பற்றி. இது மிக பெரிய நாவலாக உருவாகியது சுமார் எழுபது வருடங்களுக்கு முன் என்று சொல்லப்படுகிறது.இந்த மிக பெரிய காவியத்தை உருவாக்கிய ஆசிரியர் கல்கி அவர்கள் இன்று நம்மிடை இல்லை. பல திரையுலக ஜாம்பவான்கள் இக்கதையை படமாக எடுக்க முயற்சி செய்தும் கைவிடப்பட்டு ,பிரபல இயக்குனர் மணிரத்னம் அவர்களின் விடா முயற்சியால் ,இந்த படம் எடுக்கப்பட்டு இந்த மாதம் உலகெங்கும் வரப்போகிறது என்ற மிக பெரிய செய்தி ,பல்லாயிரக்கணக்கான ,ரசிகர்களை ஒரு பக்கம் ஆச்சர்யத்தில் ,ஆழ்த்தினாலும் ,கதையின் ,கதாபாத்திரங்கள் எப்படி கதையில் , சித்தரித்து இருந்ததோ ,அதே போல் வர வேண்டும் என்ற அச்சமும் இருப்பது சகஜம்.இது ஒரு பக்கம் இருக்க ,மற்றொரு பக்கமான படத்தின் நட்சத்திர பட்டியல்கள்,தொழில் நுட்ப கலைஞர்கள்,இசை யமைப்பாளையர் ,அதற்கும் மேலாக மாபெரும் வெற்றி பட தயாரிப்பாளர் ,இயக்குனர் மணி ரத்னம் அவர்கள் உருவாகியிருப்பதில் இருந்து ,நன்றாக வந்து இருக்கும் என்கின்ற நம்பிக்கை எனக்கு பரிபூர்ணமாக இருக்கிறது. கதா பாத்திரங்கள் ,பெயர் ,அனைத்தும் அதிஅற்புதமாக உருவாக்கிய கல்கி அவர்களின் ,கற்பனைக்கும் சோழ ராஜ்யத்தின் பெருமையையும் அழகாக மணிரத்னம் உருவாகியிருப்பார் என்று திரை உலகத்தில் பரவலாக ,கடந்த இருப்பது நாட்களாக பேசப்பட்டு வருவதோடல்லாமல் .தினமும் பட காட்சி ஊடகங்களில் வருவது நல்ல விஷயம். இந்த படம் பிரமாண்டா முறையில் ,பல பெரிய கலைஞர்களை அறிமுகம் செய்வதோடல்லாமல் ,தொழில் நுட்ப கலைஞர்கள் ,ஒத்துழைப்பும்,வெற்றிக்கு தேவை .மணிரத்னம் அவர்கள் எல்லா கோணத்திலும் சிந்தித்து ,அதற்கு தகுந்தாற் போல் அறிமுகம் செய்து உள்ளார்.உரையாடல் சிறந்த எழுத்தாளர் ஜெயமோகன், கை வண்ணத்தில் அக்கால கட்டத்தில் எப்படி உரையாடல் இருந்ததோ அது போல் இருக்கும் என்ற நம்பிக்கை எனக்கு உள்ளது.கலைஞர்கள் அனைவரும் அந்த ,அந்த கதாபாத்திரங்களாக மாறிவிட்டனர். வந்திய தேவன்,குந்தவி,ராஜராஜ சோழன் குமாரர்கள்,ஆழ்வார்க்கடியான் ,பெரிய பழு வேட்டரையர்,நந்தினி ,மற்றும் பெரிய பட்டியலை மிக அழகாக உருவாக்கியுள்ளார் இயக்குனர்.இரண்டு காரணங்களுக்காக மணிரத்னம் அவர்களை பாராட்ட வேண்டும்.ஒன்று அவரின் விடா முயற்சி,,தன்னம்பிக்கை,மற்றும் இதை எடுக்கவேண்டும் என்ற அவரின் அக்கறை கண்டிப்பாக அவருக்கு மக்களிடம் இருந்து நல்ல முடிவை கொடுக்கும் என்பது என் எண்ணம். கே.ராகவன். 12-9-22.

According to several reports, Cyrus Mistry, sitting in the backseat, was not wearing the seat belt. On the highway it is also dangerous to drive too slowly but speeding didn't help at all. Once, 4 students of I.I.T., Mumbai were playing cards till late night and could not study for the test which was scheduled for the next day. In the morning they thought of a plan. They made themselves look dirty with grease and dirt. They then went up to the Dean and said that they had gone out to a wedding last night and on their return the tyre of their car burst and they had to push the car all the way back and that they were in no condition to appear for the test. The Dean said they could have the re-test after 3 days. They thanked him and said they would be ready by that time. On the third day they appeared before the Dean. The Dean said that as this was a _Special Condition Test_, all four were required to sit in separate classrooms for the test. They all agreed as they had prepared well in the last 3 days. The Test consisted of only 2 questions with a total of 100 Marks The questions were : Q.1. Which tyre burst ? (50 MARKS) a) Front Left b) Front Right c) Back Left d) Back Right Q.2. Who sat where in the car ? Rains and aftermath.

Recent rains in Karnataka made miserable in normal routine. The stagnation of water has caused disturbance in the movement of vehicles in the garden city Bengaluru which no one anticipated over seven and half decades. The administration is trying it's best to solve the present crisis. However good infrastructure is needed. Will the administration address this issue? K.Ragavan.

Tribute to Director Rajiv Menon. Today i am going to pen another interesting and versatile film director who not only established his name in advertisement films but also films which is none other than Rajiv Menon.Even though he has directed only a few films,among them Minsara kanavu and Kandukonden kandukonden was a remarkable one. Kajol,Prabhudeva, and Naser played their roles very well in Minsara Kanavu.In his Younger days Rajiv Menon was more fascinated in-film profession ,particularly in cinematography.He studied in the film institute school ,started his-own advt agency making wonderful advt films.He was associated with top class Directors like Maniratnam,Shyam Benegal and Girish karnad.He worked in Maniratnam’s Bombay and later Guru was worth to be mentioned here.His company has got big clients Like Lintas,Hindustan Thompson andOgilvyand Mather. His Minsara kanavu was one of the best entertainment film from AVM ,banner created a big hit in Songs and good cinematography.Prabhu Deva got national award for his choreography.Charming Rajiv Menon has many laurels in his professional career .Today i am happy to tribute this talented technical director. Recently I saw the series of Delhi crime of Seven episodes if I am correct. It was nicely taken in the past Delhi gang rape incident. All the actors done their role very well and a special mention to veteran actress ShefaliShah who has played the role of DCP Vartika Chaturvedi. Kudos to her. K.Ragavan.
