Today I remembered another interesting film personality from the Kannada film industry who has created a big impact three decades back and made his rich voice ringing in Millions of Kannadigas ears even after his departure is not an exaggerated one and he is the late actor SundarKrishna urs .I came to beautiful city Mysuru in 1982 and spent eleven golden years with my profession travelling all the neighbouring districts.I started seeing kannada movies with my colleagues ,ask them to translate and started not only learning kannada but also developing a liking for kannada movies.I have seen few films of this late Doyen SundarkrishnaUrs.Those films are,Inspector Vikram,AutoRaja,Antha,Sivalinga,Nanjundi Kalyana,NyayaEllide,Samyuktha,and few films i could n't recollect.He Has acted with all top class heroes of yesteryear,worked with popular technicians is worth to be mention here.When i was touring ChikMagalur in 1986 i saw him walking near my hotel.Even though he departed three decades back his rich voice and smiling face in front of us.He was bestowed award for his action in one movie as supporting actor i remember.Incidentally his younger brother and award winning editor SureshUrs is in my acquaintance.Today i am very happy to tribute this talented versatile actor ,even though most characters negative role and he made a remarkable name in Kannada film industry no one can deny. Recently i saw the Kannada Movie Body god.The much awaited movie from Producer ,Director Prabhu Sreenivas was not disappointed to kannadiga fans.The Story is different from the normal one and crisp dialoques of both comedyand touching nicely shown.Popular Director GuruPrasad in the main Central role as Puttanna lived and made a big impact with audience.Vasu character was wonderfully done by Manojif i am right.Versatile actress Padmaja Rao,Deepika Aradhya and Shankar Krishnamurthy done their roles well.Shankar Krishnamurthy as Balu,neighbourer visiting Puttanna's place periodically and have Coffee reading Paper to Puttanna was very impressive and casual.He can boldly play in Kannada films in the coming days.Above all the role of Sync Seena by Director Prabhu Sreenivas as money lender and if money is not coming back ,ready for orgons with his assistant Hitler is new and appreciable.Good frame work of both Indoor and Out door by Cinematographer Velmurugan is laudable.I had the happiness of seeing a good movie with message along with my grand son in th Sophisticated Inox Theatre of Central Mall.Once again Kudos to Producer ,Director Prabhu Sreenivas and his wonderful team for proving their mettle.Wishing my good friend Shankar Krishnamurthy to boldly venture Kannada movies. Today i am going to pen another interesting personality from the Bolly Wood film industry is none other than Late Singer Mahendra Kapoor.One of the Versatile and popular singers of Yesteryears created a big impact with his voice. Earlier days he learned classical music under great Masters.He has rendered more than 2500 songs on various languages and 1972 he was bestowed with PadmaShri award is worth to be mentioned here.He was associated with Actor ,Director Manoj Kumar’s movies and gave remarkable songs.He has also worked under popular music Directors viz,C.Ramachandra,and many others.In his 53 Years film career he has given many memorable songs to millions of music lovers.His voice was melody,captive with modulation.I admire his beautiful voice in many films.Few i remember from the following films.Those movies are,Hum Raaz,Kismat,Upkar,Roti Kapda Aur Makan,Gopi,Dhool Ka Pool,and Wonderful T.V.Serial Maha Bharat title song still ringing in my ears.He was liked and respected by the Film Fraternity.
