Doubtful Air India.

The Recet Air india strike, was sad and unacceptable.Executive Pilots demand and their adamant nature to returning duty is painful. The National carrer is suppose to do good service for the Passagers, lost their reputation. In spite of Govt's intervention this type of behaviour is very bad.Ultimately who will bell the cat, wheather the civil aviation Ministry or
the Pilots?.Doubt ful India.

Feather in Cap

The recent achievement of Chandrayaan finding water on the moon was remarkable. ISRO has done a wonderful job. This is another milestone in Indian history. The recognition of NASA is one more feather

Little
mouse
I Have beenusing my laptop frequently, but some times Ifind it difficult to use the touch pad.A nephew provided me with a mouse.
Every day when I go for my evening walk,my grand son would request me to allow him to play with my laptop.
Ialways gave him with one condition that he used it judiciously. This was going on smoothly for many days.
Afew days ago,Ireturned from my walk.Inoticed my laptop kept in my room.Icalled my grandson and asked him why he was not using the laptop.
Normally he would hand it over to me personally. He smiled and replied; The mouse you are using is not of good quality. It's not working. That's the reason Ikept it back.
I remembered my nephew's warning when he gave the mouse.Don't give it to any one else, lest they spoli it.Icould not say any thing to my grandson because he is another 'little mouse.

Letter From My Friend Ramesh Menon.

Dear Ragavan Sir,

We travel by bus or train on a regular basis and interact with a fellow passenger on the way inside or during our walk to the station and then it becomes an everlasting friendship or bondage. Ours have been a similar one. We met through the columns of Khaleej Times, Gulf News, Gulf Today and The National and although I got to know you and interact with you at this later part of your stay in the UAE, it has been a short and sweet one. Our objectives have been more or less the same, i.e. to react pro-actively for the welfare of the society around us. This is a continuous process, and I am sure, wherever you go, you will not be able to stay away from it. Loss of UAE, is going to be a blessing for Chennai and India.

Good luck Sir for your retirement life and God bless you to have many more peaceful, prosperous and socially active years ahead.

Letter From My Toast Master Friend Sudhir Menon.

HI,

I understand you have been contemplating this decision for sometime. Everytime we talked on the fone, you kept mentioning this idea of retiring back home. Now that it is a reality, it is saddening that friends have to drift. I think it is time you put your feet up, but being the person you are i am sure youthful excuberance within you will still push you to work tirelessly to voice your opinions.

It was an honour knowing you. Hope to meet you in person before you leave for india.

Regards & God Bless

Letter from My Research Analyst friend.Dr,N.Janardhan.

Dear Mr Ragavan,

Thank you for the personal mail and the kind words therein. The only note of disappointment in it is the confirmation that you will, indeed, be returning to India. I sincerely hope and pray that you will continue to be yourself wherever you are. Rather, I am sure your distinctive character will hold forte any place you go. And, for those of us who know you, you will remain etched in our memories forever.

As you begin the next chapter in your book of life, I wish you nothing but the best.

Regards,

Janardhan

Letter From My close friend M.C.Shetty.

Dear friend Ragavan,
It was one of my usual recruitment Ads you responded 16 years ago. A pious smiling friendly gentlemen confidently walking into my office, instantly creating an air of warmth and friendliness which has grown many folds over the years between us. I admire your unconditional ever caring, loving nature who used to call me regularly even you were on holidays in india. We have discussed millions of topics, shared ideas and spent quite a bit of time together over the years. As Ralph Emersion says ' a friend is someone I can be sincere with, someone I can think out loud to'. I must mention here that I have not seen any one who is as conteded and enthusiastic person as you. I cant belive that you have taken so quick decision and really going back to home country after living so long here. Can I say like this 'You came , you saw and you conqured.
Since you have taken to decision I my self and my entire family extend our sincere wishes to you and your family. I am sure you make a new set of friends where ever you go and make life comfortable. 'Value of a frienship is not that how much one feels happy with you, but it is emptiness that one feels without you' Once again wish you good health, happiness and long life.
miss you friend
Sincerely yours

Parting
is a pain
For the past few days, I have been receiving many calls and mails from my friends expressing their feelings. It is not easy to say goodbye to a wonderful countrylike the U.A.E.Owing to domestic compulsions,Ihave to call it a day here andmove back to my country.Having spent 16,glorious years,as an insurance professional, after working in the pharmaceutical profession my home country for three decades,I have little choicebut to move on to my native place. What has touched my heart deeply is the hospitality of the Arabs and the love of this country.Ido not think any where elsewe can see 200,nationalities living with such love and affection.
Whereever Iam Iwill never forgetmy good days in theU.A.E.

Tribute to a friend leaving the UAE
September 17, 2009 by Sreekrishnan

Ragavan addressing the audience at Emirates Humour Association
Believe it or not, he is one of the very few Indian expatriates of the United Arab Emirates who keeps himself away from any kind of stress or strain and who always is self-contented. It was just a few months ago that we got acquainted with each other though we knew each other for a few years through a common friend.

Ragavan, having spent almost sixteen years of life full of multivarious activities in the United Arab Emirates, is at last, retiring from his employment with Union Insurance Company PSC, Ajman and leaving for India in October 2009 to settle down at Chennai with his near and dear.

A vociferous blogger since May 2008 and a regular writer to Editors of almost all popular newspapers and an Author of a few works (very little known even among his close associates), Ragavan has preserved his enthusiasm in sharing his views on several subjects through the medium of weblogs in the recent years. He has also been actively associated with the Emirates Humour Club.

It is interesting to read Ragavan’s unambiguous views on certain topics as seen in his blogs almost regularly being published in WordPress and Blogger.

Being one among his friends who would be missing him, I wish him the very best in all his future endeavours, wherever he decides to live. I am sure, Ragavan’s retirement is only from his UAE employer, but not from various other activities in which he will continue to be involved with more vigour and enthusiasm

misfortune
I was talking to a friend on my mobile when i received a call from my daughter saying a relarive,RV ,had met with an accident and passed away in Abudhabi. Iwas shocked. He was a good human being. He was working for an oil company.Recently he returned from India and resumed duty. His car was hit on the rear by a heavy vechicle.
He had helped several people in need including me.
Road accidents have taken away the lives of so many goodpeople. Iwish some thing is done to save lives.

Jet Airways Pilots strike continus was very sad state of affair and painful toread. Even though the Demand of Reinstating the sacked pilots was reasonable the Pilots should not go for strike.Today no citizen has sympathy for Airlines staff, because of their Service attitude and putting the Passangers in to in convenience.Management and Staff Members should sit and negotiate, without disturbing the Regular routine. They should go for Strike after duty hours.Air Line Industry is already facing a tough time and this will add to the fuel.Ultimately Govt. will bail out with Tax payers money is not Logic. This strike is a condonmed one.

Bus Tickets
7 September 2009

Recently, after my work, I went to the Deira taxi stand to board a bus to Sharjah. I was surprised to see nearly 100 passengers waiting at the counter to collect tickets. The counter
was closed because of the prayer timings.

The passengers, especially women with little kids, had to wait in the hot sun. I request the authorities concerned to allow the passengers to wait inside the bus and to collect the ticket money later. This will save passengers from waiting in the hot sun.

Indian Democracy.

My Impression About Our Democracy over others.
1 minute ago | Post edited: 1 minute ago (edit my post)
Well, Iam neither a Political Expert nor Economist.Yet by virtue of My observations i have my own impressions about Democracy concept. If we take the Global Map most of the countries follow this concept.Giving opportunities to every citizen to Govern.Inspite of this i found corruption and dominating nature is more visible through out the world.India, such a vast country with multi languages is nor exempted from this two major factors.Apart from this Illitracy and Below poverty line is yet to be tackled is sad and Pity. The Reason behind, apart from Languages ,Multiparty system is more prelavant is the fact. But one important factor i appreciate the Dramatic growth in Economical and Technology aspects. This can be possible only with our talented visionary Business Tycoons and Professionals .The true Democracy ,each citizen should get the basic aminities Education,Food items in a fair price, water and shelter without any problem. If i compare with other countries the growth and percapita is appreciable.Inspite of Population, corruption, and Political interfearenceour flag is flying high in Global I.T. Map ,W hich no body can deny.To improve the standard of living ,and life style we need dedicted and consciousLeaders to administer. Then only you can see a Powerful Democracy. We need Political will to Demonstrate.

Let us see how for this is going to work .
