Letter

Letter Published in The National UAE on 1 July 21 India's impending third wave

With regard to Taniya Dutta's report India just weeks from third wave after relaxing Covid-19 rules, experts say (June 21): in anticipating the third wave, India's vaccine shortage and the pace of vaccinations is a major hurdle. For such a vast country, these challenges are not easy to meet. India will manage and procure from outside and in due course bring up the rates of vaccinations. Until that time, even if it takes several more months, large gatherings must be avoided. It's a tough task but the government should be able to overcome this.

Vaccine shortage

The up coming third wave and India’s recent easing the lock down and the side effects was nicely elaborated in The National UAE article by Tanya Dutta .Anticipating the third wave and the vaccine to people shortage in India is one of the major hurdle. However the administration has done it’s best to make the vaccine available and made to a certain extent should be appreciable A vast country and the capacity of vaccines and the experts new wave predictions which is anticipated .The. Shortage is due to the new wave anticipation and to give vaccination for all and the size of production capacity comparing to the huge population and the recent policy of Prime minister Narendra Modi vaccine for all shows the government’s interest on the people but lack of shortageHow ever India will manage and procure from out side and make every one to have vaccination. When the government is struggling to make vaccination for all people should not deviate the norms which will protect after the vaccination.Gathering in public places and parties should be ignored completely.Hope India will manage this crucial hour and see that every one will have vaccination especially 18 -45years .

Tough task but Modi Government will over come this

Letter

Lette  Published in The National UAE on 17 June. 21Good luck to the new administration in Israel

With regard to Joyce Karam's report With Netanyahu gone, Biden breathes sigh of relief but differences with Israel remain (June 14): after 12 years of being prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu has had to make way for his successor. The determination with which opposition parties came together to form a majority in Israel was quite dramatic.

It will be interesting to watch whether Naftali Bennett's new administration will have a good rapport with the US. Mr Netanyahu had a long run of luck, but whether the law catches up with him and whether he will now have to reckon with corruption charges remains to be seen. It appears that in politics corruption is the one thing cannot be eradicated. Good luck to Mr Bennett. Let's hope Israel's new administration furthers peace in the Middle East.

Letter.

Letter Published in The National UAE on 10June 21Coping with grief by helping others

With regard to Ramola Talwar Badam's report Covid-19: Indian expat who lost eight relatives in 22 days backs aid campaign (June 8): this story was a grim read. Covid-19 has created so many complications in people's lives. Besides the emotional toll of losing loved ones, the death of family members, especially earning members, affects practical matters like finances. There are many layers to grief. And while time does help, these are irreparable losses.

It's commendable that so many philanthropic organisations are helping ease the burden on those affected by Covid-19 – and that this lady, Juhi Khan, with such a heavy burden of grief is trying to help others.

Vaccine Shortage.

India's corvid 19 immunisation drive falters amid vaccine shortage  The on going vaccine crisis shortage for people and the India 's top Judiciary Supreme Court criticized the Modi Government's action on vaccine immunisation ,.First of all people should understand India is a vast country and this second wave made lot of havocs in all aspects viz Cyclone and other diseases and above all shortage of vaccines despite two leading brands manufactured because of the huge population in India to be inoculated because of the speedy spread of Second wave. Any government at this juncture can not act because of the available resources. However India is trying it's best to overcome this crisis trying to procure from other sources and as soon as possible this may be solved.
