வாழ்க்கை அழகானது – 33

இந்த உலகில், தங்களுடைய தொழிலின் மூலம் சமூகத்தில் நேர்மறையான தாக்கத்தை ஏற்படுத்துபவர்கள் மிகச் சிலரே என்பது உண்மை. அந்தச் சிலரில் ஒருவர்தான் நமது Ram. அவர் தனது தொழிலில் மட்டுமல்லாமல், பொதுநலன் சார்ந்த பல துறைகளிலும் குறிப்பிடத்தக்க பங்களிப்பைச் செய்தார்.

போக்குவரத்து மேலாண்மை, நுகர்வோர் உரிமைகள், கல்வி போன்ற பொதுமக்களின் பிரச்சினைகளில் Ram-க்கு தனிப்பட்ட அக்கறை இருந்தது. இந்தியாவிலும் வெளிநாடுகளிலும் வெளிவரும் முன்னணி நாளிதழ்களுக்கு சமூகத்தின் பல்வேறு பிரச்சினைகள் குறித்து கட்டுரைகள், வாசகர் கடிதங்கள் மற்றும் கருத்துப் பதிவுகளை அவர் தொடர்ந்து எழுதி வந்தார். ஆனால், அவற்றில் எதிலும் தனது உண்மைப் பெயரைப் பயன்படுத்தாமல், "Bharani" என்ற புனைப்பெயரிலேயே எழுதுவது அவரது தனிச்சிறப்பாக இருந்தது.

பெங்களூரு கல்லூரிக் கிளையிலிருந்து மைசூரு கிளைக்கு பணியிட மாற்றம் செய்யப்பட்டபோது, தனது நாற்பத்திரண்டாவது வயதில் அவர் இந்தப் பொழுதுபோக்கைத் தொடங்கினார். அவருடைய நெருங்கிய நண்பர்களான Raj மற்றும் Moorthy ஆகியோருக்குக் கூட, Bharani என்பவர் உண்மையில் Ram என்பதே தெரியாது.

ஆழ்ந்த சிந்தனையுடனும், நல்ல ஆய்வுகளுடனும் அவர் எழுதிய கட்டுரைகள் பரவலான பாராட்டைப் பெற்றன. இந்தியாவின் பல மாநிலங்களிலிருந்தும், வெளிநாடுகளில் வாழும் வாசகர்களிடமிருந்தும் அவருக்குப் பாராட்டுக் கடிதங்கள் வந்துகொண்டே இருந்தன. வாசிப்பதும் எழுதுவதும் அனைவருக்கும் பிடித்த விஷயமாக இல்லாவிட்டாலும், தங்களின் சிந்தனைகள் மற்றும் முயற்சிகள் மூலம் சமூகத்திற்கு பங்களிப்புச் செய்பவர்களை மதித்து பாராட்டும் மனிதர்கள் எப்போதும் இருப்பார்கள்.

இந்தப் பொழுதுபோக்கை Ram மிகவும் ரசித்தார். தினமும் வாசகர்கள் அனுப்பும் கடிதங்களையும் மின்னஞ்சல்களையும் ஆவலுடன் எதிர்பார்த்து, அவற்றில் பகிரப்பட்ட கருத்துகளையும் ஊக்கமூட்டும் வார்த்தைகளையும் மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் வாசிப்பார்.

ஒருநாள், இணையத்தின் நன்மை தீமைகள் குறித்து தனது மாணவர்களுடன் கலந்துரையாடிக் கொண்டிருந்தபோது, தனது மின்னஞ்சல் பெட்டியில் புதிய மின்னஞ்சல் ஒன்று வந்திருப்பதை அவர் கவனித்தார்.

ஆர்வத்துடன் அந்த மின்னஞ்சலைத் திறந்தார்...

Life Is Beautiful – 32

It is true that, in today's materialistic world, most people tend to live with self-centered motives. Yet, there are still individuals like Ram who genuinely love life and nature. Such noble qualities are often shaped by one's upbringing, childhood experiences, habits, and family environment.

Despite facing numerous desires and challenges, Ram continued to lead his life with simplicity and integrity, surrounded by the company of good people. This is not an exaggeration.

Every year, he received the Best Teacher Award at his college. This recognition was the result of his unwavering dedication to his profession, his wholehearted commitment to teaching, and the love and respect with which he treated his students.

Even during holidays, many students would visit Ram and spend long hours discussing a wide range of topics with him. Although he was a history professor, his students were amazed by the depth and clarity with which he spoke about literature, science, philosophy, society, and many other fields beyond history.

By maintaining close friendships with people from diverse backgrounds and making reading an integral part of his life, Ram had acquired remarkable knowledge across many disciplines.

Ram firmly believed that "Interacting with people, continuously learning, and reading books are what cultivate knowledge and maturity."

Inspired by their teacher's ideas and way of life, his students gradually began to embrace the same philosophy in their own lives.

வாழ்க்கை அழகானது – 32

இந்தப் பொருளாதார உலகில் பெரும்பாலான மக்கள் சுயநல எண்ணத்துடன் வாழ்கிறார்கள் என்பது உண்மை. ஆனால், வாழ்க்கையையும் இயற்கையையும் மனதார நேசிக்கும் ராம் போன்ற சில மனிதர்களும் இருக்கிறார்கள். இப்படிப்பட்ட உயர்ந்த பண்புகள் ஒருவரின் சிறுவயது வளர்ப்பு, பழக்கவழக்கங்கள் மற்றும் குடும்பச் சூழலிலிருந்தே உருவாகின்றன.

பலவிதமான ஆசைகளும் சோதனைகளும் இருந்தபோதிலும், ராம் நல்லவர்களின் நட்பில் எளிமையாகவும் நேர்மையாகவும் தனது வாழ்க்கையை முன்னெடுத்துச் சென்றார். இது மிகைப்படுத்திக் கூறப்படுவது அல்ல.

ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் தனது கல்லூரியில் சிறந்த ஆசிரியர் என்ற விருதைப் பெற்றார். தனது பணியில் காட்டிய அர்ப்பணிப்பு, கற்பித்தலில் இருந்த முழு ஈடுபாடு, மாணவர்களிடம் அன்புடனும் மரியாதையுடனும் நடந்துகொண்ட விதம் ஆகியவையே அந்தப் பெருமைக்குக் காரணமாக இருந்தன.

விடுமுறை நாட்களிலும் பல மாணவர்கள் ராமைச் சந்திக்க வந்து, அவருடன் நீண்ட நேரம் பல்வேறு விஷயங்களைப் பற்றி கலந்துரையாடுவார்கள். வரலாற்றுப் பாட ஆசிரியராக இருந்தபோதிலும், வரலாற்றைத் தாண்டி பல துறைகளைப் பற்றியும் ராம் ஆழமாகவும் தெளிவாகவும் பேசுவதைப் பார்த்து மாணவர்கள் ஆச்சரியப்படுவார்கள்.

பல்வேறு துறைகளைச் சேர்ந்த நண்பர்களுடன் தொடர்ந்து பழகியதாலும், வாசிப்பை வாழ்வின் ஒரு பகுதியாகக் கொண்டிருந்ததாலும், ராம் பல துறைகளிலும் நல்ல அறிவைப் பெற்றிருந்தார்.

"மனிதர்களுடன் பழகுவதும், தொடர்ந்து கற்றுக்கொள்வதும், புத்தகங்களை வாசிப்பதும் தான் அறிவையும் முதிர்ச்சியையும் வளர்க்கும்" என்ற உறுதியான நம்பிக்கை ராமுக்கு இருந்தது.

தங்கள் ஆசிரியரின் எண்ணங்களால் ஈர்க்கப்பட்ட மாணவர்களும், படிப்படியாக அதே வாழ்க்கைத் தத்துவத்தைப் பின்பற்றத் தொடங்கினர்.

Life Is Beautiful – 31

The days passed by swiftly. Time never waits for anyone.

After learning the heartbreaking news of Vasanthi's death, Ram gradually returned to his usual routine and resumed attending college. His disciplined lifestyle and good habits kept his mind engaged in many meaningful activities. As time went by, the deep pain caused by Vasanthi's memories slowly began to fade.

Ram's mother often urged him to get married. However, he would always decline her request with kindness and respect. The reason was simple—deep within his heart, his love for his beloved Vasanthi remained unchanged.

A few years later, his mother also passed away, leaving Ram completely alone. Even that painful loss, he accepted with quiet composure. Having understood the realities of life, he did not allow himself to be consumed by grief. Instead, he continued his life with patience and inner strength.

From time to time, many of his friends encouraged him to marry. Yet, on every occasion, he politely refused. Although time had softened the pain of losing Vasanthi, there was still no place in his heart for another woman. That alone revealed the depth and sincerity of his love.

As the years went by, Ram began attending the talks of the late philosopher J. Krishnamurti and several other renowned spiritual thinkers. Their profound insights further matured his mind. Gradually, his attachment to worldly desires diminished, and his heart found greater peace and clarity.

Cherishing the beauty of life, valuing the affection of his good friends, and living with contentment, Ram continued his journey through life.

Days turned into months, and months into years.

வாழ்க்கை அழகானது – 31

நாட்கள் மிக வேகமாகக் கடந்துகொண்டிருந்தன. காலம் யாருக்காகவும் ஒருபோதும் நிற்பதில்லை.

வசந்தியின் துயரமான மரணச் செய்தியை அறிந்த பிறகு, ராம் வழக்கம்போல் கல்லூரிக்குச் செல்லத் தொடங்கினார். அவரது நல்ல பழக்கவழக்கங்களாலும், ஒழுக்கமான வாழ்க்கை முறையாலும், மனம் பல பயனுள்ள செயல்களில் ஈடுபட்டது. அதனால், காலப்போக்கில் வசந்தியின் நினைவுகள் அவரது மனதில் ஏற்படுத்திய ஆழ்ந்த வேதனை மெதுவாகக் குறைந்தது.

ராமின் தாய் அடிக்கடி அவரைத் திருமணம் செய்து கொள்ளும்படி வற்புறுத்தினார். ஆனால், ராம் மிகவும் நயமாக அந்த வேண்டுகோளை மறுத்துவந்தார். காரணம், அவரது இதயத்தின் ஆழத்தில் அவரது அழகிய வசந்தியின் மீதான அன்பு இன்னும் மாறாமல் வாழ்ந்துகொண்டே இருந்தது.

சில ஆண்டுகளுக்குப் பிறகு, அவரது தாயாரும் காலமானார். அதனால் ராம் முற்றிலும் தனிமையில் விடப்பட்டார். அந்த இழப்பையும் அவர் மிகுந்த மன அமைதியுடன் ஏற்றுக்கொண்டார். வாழ்க்கையின் உண்மையை உணர்ந்தவர் என்பதால், துயரத்தில் மூழ்காமல் நிதானமாக வாழ்ந்தார்.

இடைக்கிடையே பல நண்பர்கள் அவரைத் திருமணம் செய்து கொள்ளுமாறு அறிவுறுத்தினர். ஆனால், அவர் ஒவ்வொரு முறையும் பணிவுடன் மறுத்தார். காலம் வசந்தியின் பிரிவால் ஏற்பட்ட வேதனையைக் குறைத்திருந்தாலும், அவரது மனதில் வேறு எந்தப் பெண்ணுக்கும் இடமில்லை. அதுவே அவரது உண்மையான அன்பின் ஆழத்தை வெளிப்படுத்தியது.

காலம் நகர்ந்தது. ராம் மறைந்த தத்துவஞானி ஜெ. கிருஷ்ணமூர்த்தி மற்றும் பல சிறந்த ஆன்மிகச் சிந்தனையாளர்களின் சொற்பொழிவுகளுக்குச் செல்லத் தொடங்கினார். அவர்களின் ஆழமான சிந்தனைகள் ராமின் மனதை மேலும் பக்குவப்படுத்தின. உலகப் பொருள் ஆசைகளின் மீது இருந்த பற்றுகள் மெதுவாக விலகின. அவரது மனம் அமைதியையும் தெளிவையும் அடைந்தது.

அழகான இந்த வாழ்க்கையை நேசித்தபடியும், நல்ல நண்பர்களின் அன்பை மதித்தபடியும், மனநிறைவுடன் தனது வாழ்க்கைப் பயணத்தை அவர் தொடர்ந்தார்.

நாட்கள் மாதங்களாகவும், மாதங்கள் ஆண்டுகளாகவும் மாறின.

Life Is Beautiful – 30

Ram picked up the newspaper. The moment he read one particular news report, he froze in shock.

The report stated that a head-on collision between a minibus and a car in Mahabaleshwar had claimed the lives of all fifteen tourists traveling in the minibus, as well as the two people in the car.

The article further mentioned that the victims in the car were the beautiful Vasanthi, who worked at a bank, and one of her colleagues from the same office. Vasanthi's photograph had also been printed in the newspaper, but it was blurred and unclear.

The news completely shattered Ram. Tears streamed down his face.

"Oh... Vasanthi! I've lost you forever..." he cried in heartbreak.

Unable to share his grief even with his mother, he quietly left the house.

He walked to the nearby park. It was the very park where Ram and Vasanthi had met countless times, spending hours talking openly and sharing their hearts. They both loved that beautiful place. But today, Ram sat there alone.

Although Vasanthi's tragic death filled him with unbearable sorrow, he did not lose faith in the beautiful life that God had given him.

He tried to console himself.

"Vasanthi's destiny has come to an end. I must learn to control my emotions and my grief. In this beautiful life, it was not my destiny to become her life partner. I have to accept what has happened and find the strength to move on.

My beloved Vasanthi, you will always live on in my memories and in my heart."

A few days passed. As time went by, Ram slowly began to recover from his grief and once again started to appreciate life.

He lived by one simple philosophy:

"Whatever happens in life, accept it and keep moving forward."

வாழ்க்கை அழகானது – 30

ராம் செய்தித்தாளைப் பார்த்தார். அதில் வந்திருந்த ஒரு செய்தியைப் படித்தவுடன் அவர் அதிர்ச்சியில் உறைந்து போனார்.

மகாபலேஷ்வரில் ஒரு மினி பேருந்தும் ஒரு காரும் நேருக்கு நேர் மோதிய விபத்தில், மினி பேருந்தில் பயணம் செய்த பதினைந்து சுற்றுலாப் பயணிகளும், காரில் இருந்த இருவரும் உயிரிழந்தனர்.

காரில் உயிரிழந்தவர்களில் வங்கியில் பணியாற்றிய அழகிய வசந்தியும், அவருடன் வேலை செய்த அலுவலக சக ஊழியரும் இருந்ததாகச் செய்தியில் குறிப்பிடப்பட்டிருந்தது. வசந்தியின் புகைப்படமும் செய்தித்தாளில் அச்சிடப்பட்டிருந்தது. ஆனால் அது தெளிவாக இல்லாமல் சிதைந்திருந்தது.

இதைக் கண்ட ராம் முற்றிலும் நிலைகுலைந்து போனார். அவரது கண்களில் கண்ணீர் பெருக்கெடுத்து வழிந்தது.

“ஓ... வசந்தி! உன்னை நான் என்றென்றும் இழந்துவிட்டேன்...” என்று மனம் உடைந்து கதறினார்.

இந்தத் துயரத்தைத் தன் தாயிடம் கூட பகிர்ந்து கொள்ள முடியாமல், அமைதியாக வீட்டை விட்டு வெளியேறினார்.

அவர் அருகிலிருந்த பூங்காவுக்குச் சென்றார். அந்தப் பூங்காவில்தான் ராமும் வசந்தியும் பல முறை சந்தித்து மனம் விட்டு பேசியிருந்தனர். அந்த அழகிய பூங்காவை இருவரும் மிகவும் விரும்பினர். ஆனால் இன்று, அந்த இடத்தில் ராம் மட்டும் தனியாக அமர்ந்திருந்தார்.

வசந்தியின் துயரமான மரணம் அவரை மிகுந்த வேதனைக்குள்ளாக்கியிருந்தாலும், கடவுள் தந்த இந்த அழகான வாழ்க்கையை அவர் வெறுக்கவில்லை.

தன்னைத்தானே ஆறுதல் கூறிக் கொண்டார்.

“வசந்தியின் விதி இத்துடன் முடிந்துவிட்டது. என் உணர்ச்சிகளையும் மனவேதனையையும் நான் கட்டுப்படுத்த வேண்டும். இந்த அழகான வாழ்க்கையில் அவளுக்கு வாழ்க்கைத் துணையாக இருப்பது எனக்கான விதி இல்லை. நடந்ததை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டு மனதைத் தேற்றிக்கொள்ள வேண்டும்.

என் அன்பு வசந்தி, நீ எப்போதும் என் நினைவிலும் என் இதயத்திலும் வாழ்ந்துகொண்டே இருப்பாய்.”

சில நாட்கள் கடந்தன. காலப்போக்கில் ராம் தனது துயரத்திலிருந்து மெதுவாக மீண்டு, வாழ்க்கையை மீண்டும் ரசிக்கத் தொடங்கினார்.

அவருடைய வாழ்க்கைத் தத்துவம் ஒன்று மட்டுமே:

“வாழ்க்கையில் எது நடந்தாலும் அதை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டு முன்னேற வேண்டும்.”

இன்றைய வேகமாக மாறிவரும் டிஜிட்டல் உலகில், பல பிரபலமான இணைய நிறுவனங்கள் தங்களுக்கென வலைப்பதிவுகளை (Blogs) நடத்தி வருகின்றன. அதேபோல், ஆயிரக்கணக்கான எழுத்தாளர்களும் தங்களது சொந்த வலைப்பதிவுகள் மூலம் தனித்துவமான நடை, கருத்து மற்றும் தலைப்புகளைத் தேர்ந்தெடுத்து, தங்களுக்கென ஒரு சிறப்பான அடையாளத்தை உருவாக்கியுள்ளனர்.

வலைப்பதிவு என்பது எழுத்தாளர்களுக்கு தங்களது எண்ணங்கள், கருத்துகள், அனுபவங்கள் மற்றும் சிந்தனைகளை நேர்மையாகவும் சுதந்திரமாகவும் வெளிப்படுத்தும் அரிய வாய்ப்பை வழங்குகிறது. காலப்போக்கில், இந்த ஊடகம் மிகுந்த வளர்ச்சியடைந்து, உலகம் முழுவதும் பெரும் வரவேற்பையும் செல்வாக்கையும் பெற்றுள்ளது. தினமும் கோடிக்கணக்கான வாசகர்கள் வலைப்பதிவுகளைப் பார்வையிடுவது, ஆர்வமிக்க பதிவர்கள் உருவாக்கும் உள்ளடக்கத்திற்கு மக்கள் அளிக்கும் மதிப்பையும் பாராட்டையும் வெளிப்படுத்துகிறது.

Life Is Beautiful – 29

Ram received an alarming message stating that his mother had suddenly slipped and fallen in the bathroom. Without wasting any time, he rushed home and took her to an orthopaedic specialist.

After examining her, the doctor told Ram that she would need a few more tests. He explained that only after reviewing the test results and X-rays would it be possible to determine exactly how the bone had shifted and decide on the appropriate treatment. With no other option, Ram cancelled his trip.

The next day, after studying the test reports and X-rays, the doctor informed him that surgery would be necessary to properly realign the joint. Ram agreed to the procedure. Following the operation, it took nearly ninety days for his mother to recover and return to her normal routine.

Because of this incident, Ram was unable to take leave immediately. Once again, he tried to contact Vasanthi's bank in Mahabaleshwar, but he was still unable to obtain any reliable information about her.

Six months passed, and there was still no word from Vasanthi.

Ram's mother noticed that he was constantly anxious and worried. She asked him, "Why do you seem so troubled all the time?" But Ram did not reveal the real reason. He didn't want his mother to worry about his personal life.

"It's just work pressure. It's been weighing on my mind," he replied.

One day, as Ram opened the newspaper, a particular news report caught his eye—and he was stunned by what he read...

Kudos to the Editor.

 Another wonderful programme from PSSM Tamil Europe was telecast today. The topic, "Manathil Uruthi Vendum" ("One Must Have Determination"), was both inspiring and thought-provoking.

Versatile editor Mrs. Muthulakshmi delivered an excellent talk, highlighting the importance of strong willpower and unwavering determination in achieving success. Her references to the immortal poet Subramania Bharathi, Thiruvalluvar, and the Mahabharata added great depth and authenticity to her presentation.

She beautifully explained that while God's grace is always with us, it is our own determination, self-confidence, and sincere efforts that ultimately lead us to success. Her reference to Karna's steadfast character and determination was particularly inspiring. She also gave an interesting account of the Chola dynasty, illustrating how determination and visionary leadership contributed to its greatness.

The programme was informative, motivating, and well-presented. The active participation of the other speakers and participants made the session even more engaging and meaningful. Overall, it was an enriching programme that encouraged everyone to cultivate a strong mind, firm resolve, and a positive outlook in life.

ராமுக்கு ஒரு செய்தி வந்தது. அவன் தாய் திடீரென்று குளியலறையில் கீழே விழுந்துவிட்டதாக அந்தச் செய்தியில் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டிருந்தது. உடனே அவன் வீட்டிற்கு விரைந்து சென்று, தாயை எலும்பியல் மருத்துவரிடம் அழைத்துச் சென்றான்.

அடுத்த நாள், பரிசோதனை முடிவுகளையும் எக்ஸ்-ரே படங்களையும் பார்த்த மருத்துவர், மூட்டு சரியாக அமைய அறுவை சிகிச்சை செய்ய வேண்டியிருக்கும் என்று கூறினார். ராம் அதற்கு சம்மதித்தான். அறுவை சிகிச்சைக்குப் பிறகு, அவன் தாய் மீண்டும் இயல்பு நிலைக்குத் திரும்ப கிட்டத்தட்ட தொண்ணூறு நாட்கள் ஆனது.

இந்த சம்பவத்திற்குப் பிறகு, ராமால் உடனடியாக விடுப்பு எடுக்க முடியவில்லை. மீண்டும் ஒருமுறை மகாபலேஷ்வரில் உள்ள வசந்தியின் வங்கியைத் தொடர்புகொள்ள முயன்றான். ஆனால் வசந்தியைப் பற்றிய சரியான தகவல் அவனுக்குக் கிடைக்கவில்லை.

ஆறு மாதங்கள் கடந்துவிட்டன. வசந்தியிடமிருந்து எந்தத் தகவலும் வரவில்லை.

ராம் எப்போதும் பதற்றமாகவும் கவலையுடனும் இருப்பதை அவன் தாய் கவனித்தார். “ஏன் இவ்வளவு கவலையாக இருக்கிறாய்?” என்று கேட்டார். ஆனால் ராம் உண்மையான காரணத்தைத் தாயிடம் சொல்லவில்லை. தனது தனிப்பட்ட விஷயத்தைப் பற்றி தாய் கவலைப்படக் கூடாது என்று நினைத்தான்.

“வேலை அழுத்தம் அதிகமாக இருப்பதால் மனதில் குழப்பமாக இருக்கிறது” என்று மட்டும் கூறினான்.

ஒரு நாள், ராம் செய்தித்தாளைத் திறந்தபோது, அதில் பார்த்த ஒரு செய்தியைக் கண்டு அதிர்ச்சியடைந்தான்—

 Life Is Beautiful – 28

The film Sumaithangi had filled Ram's life with suspense and deep emotions. Yet Ram firmly believed in karma and accepted whatever came his way in this beautiful life. His unwavering determination and positive outlook were truly admirable.

A few days after Vasanthi left, Ram received a message from her saying that she was comfortable in her new place. However, after that, weeks passed without any communication. Ram grew increasingly worried.

He contacted the bank in Mahabaleshwar where Vasanthi had been working, hoping to learn about her. Unfortunately, no one could give him a clear picture of her whereabouts.

Finally, Ram decided to go to Mahabaleshwar himself to see her. But he could not get leave immediately because the college was conducting its final examinations.

Whenever he saw the Brindavan Gardens on television, memories of the happy days he and Vasanthi had spent there would come flooding back. Those moments filled his heart with both warmth and longing.

At last, his leave was sanctioned. He planned to leave on a Friday by train.

As he was making the final preparations for his journey, the telephone rang unexpectedly. The call would change the course of his trip and perhaps his life itself. Ram paused for a moment before lifting the receiver, unaware of the news that awaited him.

GoodMovie.

 I recently watched Choo Baana and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was wonderful to revisit a film made nearly three decades ago that still carries a meaningful and relevant social message.

The performances by Devraj, Mukhyamantri Chandru, Avinash, Ramesh Bhat, Satyapriya, Simha, and the rest of the cast were excellent. Manjunath's story and screenplay provided a strong foundation for the film, while Basavaraju's crisp editing and the music added to its overall appeal.

Director Phani Ramachandra deserves special appreciation for presenting the story with such skill and sensitivity. Even after almost three decades, Choo Baana remains engaging and impactful, proving that good cinema with a strong message stands the test of time.

சுமைத்தாங்கி திரைப்படம் ராமின் வாழ்க்கையில் பல மர்மங்களையும் ஆழமான உணர்ச்சிகளையும் ஏற்படுத்தியிருந்தது. இருந்தாலும், அவர் கர்மத்தின் மீது உறுதியான நம்பிக்கை கொண்டிருந்தார். இந்த அழகான வாழ்க்கையில் தனக்கு நேரிடும் அனைத்தையும் அவர் ஏற்றுக்கொண்டார். அவரது அசைக்க முடியாத மன உறுதியும், நேர்மறையான சிந்தனையும் உண்மையிலேயே பாராட்டத்தக்கவை.

வசந்தி சென்ற சில நாட்களுக்குப் பிறகு, புதிய இடத்தில் தான் வசதியாக இருப்பதாகக் கூறி ராமுக்கு ஒரு செய்தி அனுப்பினாள். ஆனால் அதற்குப் பிறகு பல வாரங்கள் கடந்தும் அவளிடமிருந்து எந்தத் தொடர்பும் இல்லை. நாட்கள் செல்லச் செல்ல ராமின் கவலை அதிகரித்தது.

வசந்தியைப் பற்றிய ஏதாவது தகவல் கிடைக்குமா என்ற நம்பிக்கையில், அவள் பணியாற்றிய மகாபலேஸ்வர் வங்கியை ராம் தொடர்புகொண்டார். ஆனால், துரதிர்ஷ்டவசமாக, அவள் எங்கு இருக்கிறாள் என்பது குறித்து யாராலும் தெளிவான தகவலை வழங்க முடியவில்லை.

இறுதியாக, ராம் தானே மகாபலேஸ்வருக்குச் சென்று வசந்தியைப் பார்க்க முடிவு செய்தார். ஆனால் உடனடியாக விடுப்பு கிடைக்கவில்லை; ஏனெனில் கல்லூரியில் இறுதித் தேர்வுகள் நடைபெற்று கொண்டிருந்தன.

பயணத்திற்கான இறுதி ஏற்பாடுகளைச் செய்து கொண்டிருந்தபோது, எதிர்பாராத விதமாக தொலைபேசி மணி ஒலித்தது. அந்த அழைப்பு அவரது பயணத்தின் போக்கையும்—ஒருவேளை அவரது வாழ்க்கையின் பாதையையும்—மாற்றப்போகிறது என்பதை ராம் அறிந்திருக்கவில்லை.

Vasanthi turned around. The one who had called her was none other than Radhika.

Radhika:

"Vasanthi! What a pleasant surprise! This is the first time I've seen both of you again since we met in Mysore."

Vasanthi:

"I'm sorry, Radhika. I couldn't stay in touch with you. Our bank had a two-day seminar, and I returned only this morning. I have to leave again tomorrow."

Radhika:

"That's all right. I'm really happy to see you here. We're planning to watch this movie tomorrow, so I came to book the tickets."

Ram:

"It's a pleasure to see you too. Please convey our warm regards to your husband."

Radhika:

"Thank you. All right then, you carry on. Have a wonderful day."

Vasanthi:

"What happened, Vasanthi? Why do you look so upset?"

Vasanthi:

"I know it's only a movie, but the ending has deeply affected me. I pray that we never have to face a situation like that in our own lives."

Ram:

"Oh! Are you still thinking about the ending? Don't worry. Nothing like that will ever happen to us."

That day, Ram's words brought great comfort to Vasanthi's heart.

But today...

Ram's eyes were filled with tears.

The words Vasanthi had spoken many years ago echoed over and over in his mind:

"I pray that we never have to face a situation like that in our own lives."

In the end, the very fate she had feared had become reality.

Once, their lives had blossomed with dreams and hope. But in the cruel twists of time, their journey had ultimately come to mirror the story of the film Sumai Thaangi—a life weighed down by sorrow, sacrifice, and unbearable burdens.

வசந்தி திரும்பிப் பார்த்தாள். அவளை அழைத்தது வேறு யாருமல்ல, ராதிகாதான்.

ராதிகா:

"வசந்தி! என்ன ஒரு இனிய ஆச்சரியம்! மைசூரில் நடந்த நம்முடைய சந்திப்பிற்குப் பிறகு இப்போதுதான் உங்களிருவரையும் மீண்டும் பார்க்கிறேன்."

வசந்தி:

"மன்னித்துக்கொள், ராதிகா. உன்னுடன் தொடர்பில் இருக்க முடியவில்லை. எங்கள் வங்கியில் இரண்டு நாள் கருத்தரங்கு நடந்தது. இன்று காலையில்தான் வந்தேன். நாளையே மீண்டும் புறப்பட வேண்டும்."

ராதிகா:

"பரவாயில்லை. இங்கே உங்களைச் சந்தித்ததில் எனக்கு மிகவும் மகிழ்ச்சி. நாங்கள் இந்தப் படத்தை நாளை பார்க்கத் திட்டமிட்டிருக்கிறோம். அதற்குத்தான் டிக்கெட் முன்பதிவு செய்ய வந்தேன்."

ராம்:

"உங்களைப் பார்த்ததில் எனக்கும் மகிழ்ச்சி. உங்கள் கணவருக்கு எங்கள் அன்பான வணக்கங்களைச் சொல்லுங்கள்."

ராதிகா:

"நன்றி. சரி, நீங்கள் செல்லுங்கள். உங்கள் நாள் இனிதாக அமையட்டும்."

வசந்தி:

"உங்களுக்கும் அதே வாழ்த்துகள்."

அவர்கள் ஒருவருக்கொருவர் விடைபெற்றனர்.

ராமும் வசந்தியும் திரையரங்கிற்குள் சென்று தங்களுக்கான இருக்கைகளில் அமர்ந்தனர்.

திரைப்படம் தொடங்கியது. இருவரும் முழு கவனத்துடன் படத்தை ரசித்துப் பார்த்தனர். இரவு 9.30 மணியளவில் படம் நிறைவடைந்தது.

திரையரங்கை விட்டு வெளியே வந்த அவர்கள், இரவு உணவிற்காக அருகிலிருந்த ஒரு உணவகத்திற்குச் சென்றனர்.

உணவகத்தில் அமர்ந்தபோது, வசந்தியின் முகத்தில் ஒரு சொல்ல முடியாத சோகம் படர்ந்திருப்பதை ராம் கவனித்தார்.

ராம்:

"என்ன ஆயிற்று, வசந்தி? ஏன் உன் முகம் இவ்வளவு வாடியிருக்கிறது?"

வசந்தி:

"இது வெறும் திரைப்படம்தான் என்று எனக்குத் தெரியும். இருந்தாலும், அதன் முடிவு என் மனதை மிகவும் பாதித்துவிட்டது. இப்படிப்பட்ட நிலை நம் வாழ்க்கையில் ஒருபோதும் வரக்கூடாது என்று நினைக்கிறேன்."

ராம்:

"அடடா! இன்னும் படத்தின் முடிவைப் பற்றித்தானா யோசித்துக்கொண்டிருக்கிறாய்? கவலைப்படாதே. அப்படி எதுவும் நம் வாழ்க்கையில் நடக்காது."

அன்று ராமின் அந்த வார்த்தைகள் வசந்தியின் மனதிற்கு ஆறுதலாக இருந்தன.

ஆனால் இன்று...

ராமின் கண்கள் கண்ணீரால் நிரம்பியிருந்தன.

பல ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்பு வசந்தி சொன்ன அந்த வார்த்தைகள் அவரது நினைவில் மீண்டும் மீண்டும் ஒலித்தன.

"இப்படிப்பட்ட நிலை நம் வாழ்க்கையில் ஒருபோதும் வரக்கூடாது..."

அவள் அஞ்சியதே இறுதியில் உண்மையாகிவிட்டது.

ஒருகாலத்தில் கனவுகளாலும் நம்பிக்கைகளாலும் மலர்ந்த அவர்களின் வாழ்க்கை, இறுதியில் 'சுமை தாங்கி' திரைப்படத்தின் கதையைப் போலவே துன்பத்தையும் தியாகத்தையும் சுமந்த ஒரு பயணமாக மாறியிருந்தது.

மத்திய கிழக்கு பிரச்சினையைப் பற்றி Raj-உடன் இரண்டு மணி நேரம் விவாதித்துவிட்டு, Ram இரவு 9 மணியளவில் வீட்டிற்கு வந்தார்.

அவரது செல்ல நாய் Tomy, இரவு உணவுக்காக அவரைக் காத்துக் கொண்டிருந்தது. Ram அதற்கு வழக்கம்போல் ரொட்டியைக் கொடுத்தார். மகிழ்ச்சியடைந்த Tomy, தனது வாலை ஆட்டிக்கொண்டு நன்றியை வெளிப்படுத்தியது.

பின்னர் Ram தனது நாற்காலியில் அமர்ந்து செய்தித்தாளைப் புரட்டிக் கொண்டிருந்தார். அப்போது, நீண்ட நாட்களுக்குப் பிறகு Lido Theatre-ல் "Sumaithangi" திரைப்படம் மீண்டும் திரையிடப்படுவதாகக் கண்டார்.

அந்தப் படத்தின் பெயரைப் பார்த்தவுடன், அவரது மனம் பழைய நினைவுகளுக்குள் பயணித்தது.

Vasanthi: "உங்களுடன் ஒரு திரைப்படம் பார்க்க வேண்டும் என்று ஆசை. அதற்காக ஒரு படத்தையும் தேர்ந்தெடுத்திருக்கிறேன். அது உங்களுக்கும் பிடிக்கும் என்று நம்புகிறேன்."

Ram: "நீ தேர்ந்தெடுக்கும் எந்தப் படமாக இருந்தாலும் எனக்குப் பிடிக்கும். ஏனென்றால், நம் இருவரின் ரசனையும் ஒன்றுதான்."

Vasanthi: "பாராட்டுக்கு நன்றி. படம் 'Sumaithangi'. இயக்குநர் Sridhar இயக்கிய அழகான குடும்பக் கதை."

Ram: "அடடா! இந்த அருமையான குடும்பப் படத்தைப் பார்க்க வேண்டும் என்று நான் நீண்ட நாட்களாக நினைத்துக் கொண்டிருந்தேன். அதுவும் இந்த அழகான பெண்ணுடன் சேர்ந்து பார்க்கும் வாய்ப்பு கிடைத்திருப்பது எனக்கு இரட்டிப்பு மகிழ்ச்சி."

Ram: "சரி. எங்கே சந்திக்கலாம்?"

Vasanthi: "மாலை சரியாக 6 மணிக்கு Santhosh Theatre, K.G. Circle-ல் நான் இருப்பேன். அங்கே சந்திப்போம். சரி, வருகிறேன்."

மாலை சரியாக 6 மணிக்கு Ram, Santhosh Theatre-வின் பிரதான நுழைவாயிலுக்கு வந்தார். Vasanthi ஏற்கனவே அவருக்காகக் காத்திருந்தாள்.

இருவரும் ஒன்றாக திரையரங்கிற்குள் நுழைந்தனர்.

Ram's old memories (flashback) were interrupted by a phone call. He picked up the phone.

Ram: Hello, this is Ram speaking.

On the other end was his friend, Raj.

Raj: Hello, Ram. How are you? It's been a long time since I heard from you. Is everything alright?

Ram: Thanks, Raj. I'm doing well. How is everyone in your family?

Raj: Everyone is doing well, Ram. Why don't you come over to my house today so we can meet?

Ram: What time?

Raj: At 6:30 this evening.

Ram: Alright. I'll finish my evening walk and then come over.

At exactly the appointed time, Ram arrived at Raj's house.

Raj was delighted to see him.

Just then, Raj's wife brought Ram his favorite tea along with some biscuits.

ராமின் பழைய நினைவுகள் (Flashback) ஒரு தொலைபேசி அழைப்பால் தடைபட்டன. அவர் தொலைபேசியை எடுத்து,

ராம்: ஹலோ, நான் ராம் பேசுகிறேன்.

மறுமுனையில் அவரது நண்பர் ராஜ் பேசினார்.

ராஜ்: ஹலோ ராம், எப்படி இருக்கிறாய்? நீண்ட நாட்களாக உன்னிடமிருந்து எந்த அழைப்பும் இல்லை. எல்லாம் நலம்தானே?

ராம்: ராஜ், நன்றி. நான் நலமாக இருக்கிறேன். உன் குடும்பத்தினர் அனைவரும் எப்படி இருக்கிறார்கள்?

ராஜ்: எல்லோரும் நலமாக இருக்கிறார்கள், ராம். இன்று என் வீட்டிற்கு வந்து சந்திக்கலாமே?

ராம்: எந்த நேரம்?

ராஜ்: மாலை ஆறு முப்பது மணிக்கு.

ராம்: சரி. என் மாலை நடைப்பயிற்சியை முடித்துவிட்டு அங்கு வந்துவிடுகிறேன்.

சரியாகக் குறிப்பிட்ட நேரத்தில் ராம் ராஜின் வீட்டை அடைந்தார்.

ராமைப் பார்த்த ராஜ் மிகவும் மகிழ்ச்சியடைந்தார்.

ராஜ்: ராம், இன்று உன்னைச் சந்திக்க விரும்பிய காரணம், தற்போது மத்திய கிழக்கில் நிலவி வரும் நெருக்கடியைப் பற்றி உன்னுடன் விவாதிக்க வேண்டும் என்பதுதான். அந்த விஷயத்தில் உனக்கு எப்போதுமே அதிக ஆர்வம் இருப்பதை நான் அறிவேன்.

ராம்: நிச்சயமாக எனக்கு அதில் ஆர்வம் இருக்கிறது. ஆனால் இன்று அவசியமாக இதைப் பற்றி ஏன் பேச வேண்டும்?

ராஜ்: எங்கள் பத்திரிகையின் தலைமை ஆசிரியர் நாளைக்குள் அந்தத் தலைப்பில் ஒரு சுருக்கமான கட்டுரை கேட்டிருக்கிறார். இந்த விஷயத்தை எல்லா கோணங்களிலும் நேர்மறையாகவும் அழகாகவும் பார்க்கும் பழக்கம் உனக்கு இருப்பதால், இதற்கு நீயே சரியானவர் என்று நினைத்தேன்.

ராஜ்: அருமை ராம். முதலில் ஒரு கோப்பை தேநீர் குடித்துவிட்டு, அதன் பிறகு இந்த விவாதத்தைத் தொடங்கலாம்.

அப்போது ராஜின் மனைவி, ராமுக்கு மிகவும் பிடித்த தேநீரையும் பிஸ்கட்டுகளையும் கொண்டு வந்து வைத்தார்.

Vasanthi.No don't tell like that.After spending few hours with them Ram left to Bangalore.After few days Ram got the shocking news ,that Vasanthi's Mother passed away.He went to Mysore, saw and consoled  her.What to do, loss is loss.Vasanthi was very weak,she could n't talk much .

Ram.Vasanthi ,why do n't you come to Bangalore ,for a change.

Vasanthi.Thank you Ram.I got promotion and transferred to Mahabaleswar,Near Pune.Iam joining Monday.

Ram.Why so early,you could have join little later.

Vasanthi.If i sit at home ,i will remember mom.So i decided to join.

Ram .As you wish,take care .As soon as you reach there ,call me.I am not able to tell ,any thing other then this.

வாழ்க்கை அழகானது – 24

"இன்னும் சில நாட்கள்கூட நான் உயிருடன் இருப்பேனா என்று தெரியவில்லை," என்று வசந்தியின் அம்மா கூறினார்.

வசந்தி: "அம்மா, தயவுசெய்து அப்படியெல்லாம் சொல்லாதீர்கள்."

அவர்களுடன் சில மணி நேரம் கழித்த பிறகு, ராம் பெங்களூருக்கு திரும்பிச் சென்றார்.

சில நாட்களுக்குப் பிறகு, வசந்தியின் அம்மா காலமானார் என்ற அதிர்ச்சியான செய்தி ராமுக்குக் கிடைத்தது. உடனே அவர் மைசூருக்குச் சென்று, வசந்தியைச் சந்தித்து ஆறுதல் கூறினார்.

ராம்: "என்ன செய்வது... இழப்பு என்றால் இழப்புதான்."

வசந்தி மிகவும் பலவீனமாக இருந்ததால், அதிகம் பேச முடியவில்லை.

ராம்: "வசந்தி, மனம் மாறுவதற்காக சில நாட்கள் பெங்களூருக்கு வரலாமே?"

வசந்தி: "நன்றி, ராம். எனக்கு பதவி உயர்வு கிடைத்திருக்கிறது. அதோடு, புனே அருகிலுள்ள மகாபலேஷ்வருக்கு பணியிட மாற்றமும் வந்துள்ளது. இந்தத் திங்கட்கிழமை அங்கே பணியில் சேர வேண்டும்."

ராம்: "இவ்வளவு அவசரமாக ஏன்? இன்னும் சில நாட்கள் கழித்துச் சேர்ந்திருக்கலாமே."

வசந்தி: "வீட்டிலேயே இருந்தால் அம்மாவின் நினைவுகள் என்னை மிகவும் வாட்டும். அதனால்தான் உடனே பணியில் சேர முடிவு செய்தேன்."

ராம்: "உன் விருப்பம். உடல்நலத்தையும் மனதையும் நன்றாகப் பார்த்துக்கொள். அங்கே சென்றவுடன் எனக்கு ஒரு அழைப்பு செய். இதைத் தவிர இப்போது என்ன சொல்வது என்று தெரியவில்லை."

வசந்தி: "கண்டிப்பாக, ராம். நான் எங்கே இருந்தாலும், என் மனம் உன்னிடம்தான் இருக்கும். நீங்களும் உங்களைப் பார்த்துக்கொள்ளுங்கள்."

ராம்: "மைசூரில் நாம் ஒன்றாகக் கழித்த அந்த அழகான நாட்களை நான் என்றும் நினைத்துக்கொண்டே இருப்பேன். அவற்றை என்னால் ஒருபோதும் மறக்க முடியாது."

வசந்தி: "நானும் அப்படித்தான், ராம். வருகிறேன்."

அந்த அழகிய நகரமான மைசூரிலிருந்து, அந்த இரு அழகிய உள்ளங்களும் தங்களது வாழ்க்கைப் பயணத்தின் அடுத்த கட்டத்தை நோக்கிப் பிரிந்தனர்.

The news was given by his friend,that Vasanthi’s Mother was admitted in the hospital That news was a shocking to ram.Last week Vasanthi was mentioning ,her mother was fine.Ram tried to contact her phone ,could n’t get. Then he tried that B.M.Hospital of Mysore,got her on the phone.Vasanthi’s voice was very low ,and she was more worried about her mom.

Ram,Dr,told me only few days for my mother.She is in the advanced stage of cancer.

Ram.Oh,my god. i will come immediately to Mysore.

Vasanthi.Do n’t worry ram,i will manage my self.If there is any emergency ,i will call you.

Ram.No,problem.Iwill come there in the evening.

Ram reached that hospital ,in the evening.Vasanthi was so happy to see ram.

Vasanthi.Thank you ,so much ram.You have come,from all the way.

Vasanthi’s mother saw ram,this is the first time she saw the hand some ram,which was described by her daughter.

Mother.Ram,Vasanthi told about you and your Beautiful nature. You have to give me a promise.

Ram.Tell me ,

Mother.Idon’t think ,i will survive for another ten days.Vasanthi likes you very much,and you should marry her.Promise me.

வாழ்க்கை அழகானது – 23

வசந்தியின் அம்மா மருத்துவமனையில் அனுமதிக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறார் என்ற செய்தியை ராமுக்கு அவனது நண்பர் தெரிவித்தான். அந்தச் செய்தி ராமுக்கு பெரும் அதிர்ச்சியாக இருந்தது. கடந்த வாரம்தான் வசந்தி, "என் அம்மா நன்றாக இருக்கிறார்" என்று கூறியிருந்தாள்.

ராம் உடனே வசந்தியின் கைப்பேசிக்கு அழைத்தான். ஆனால் தொடர்பு கிடைக்கவில்லை. பின்னர் மைசூரிலுள்ள பி.எம். மருத்துவமனைக்கு அழைத்தபோது, வசந்தியுடன் பேச முடிந்தது.

வசந்தியின் குரல் மிகவும் தளர்ச்சியாக இருந்தது. அவள் தன் அம்மாவைப் பற்றிய கவலையில் மூழ்கியிருந்தாள்.

வசந்தி: "ராம்... டாக்டர் என் அம்மாவுக்கு இன்னும் சில நாட்கள்தான் இருப்பதாகச் சொன்னார். அவருக்கு புற்றுநோய் மிகவும் முற்றிய நிலையில் உள்ளது."

ராம்: "ஐயோ! நான் உடனே மைசூருக்கு வருகிறேன்."

வசந்தி: "வேண்டாம் ராம். கவலைப்படாதீர்கள். நான் சமாளித்துக் கொள்கிறேன். ஏதாவது அவசரம் ஏற்பட்டால் நானே உங்களுக்குத் தெரிவிக்கிறேன்."

ராம்: "அது பரவாயில்லை. இன்று மாலையே நான் அங்கு வந்து விடுகிறேன்."

அன்றைய மாலை ராம் மருத்துவமனைக்கு வந்தான். அவனைப் பார்த்ததும் வசந்திக்கு மிகவும் மகிழ்ச்சியாக இருந்தது.

வசந்தி: "ரொம்ப நன்றி ராம். இவ்வளவு தூரம் இருந்து என்னைப் பார்க்க வந்திருக்கிறீர்கள்."

வசந்தியின் அம்மா ராமை முதல் முறையாகப் பார்த்தார். இதுவரை தனது மகள் சொல்லிக் கொண்டிருந்த அந்த அழகான, நல்ல மனம் கொண்ட இளைஞன் இவர்தானா என்று மனதில் எண்ணினார்.

அம்மா: "ராம், வசந்தி உங்களைப் பற்றியும் உங்கள் நல்ல குணத்தைப் பற்றியும் நிறைய சொல்லியிருக்கிறாள். நீங்கள் எனக்கு ஒரு வாக்குறுதி தர வேண்டும்."

ராம்: "சொல்லுங்கள் அம்மா."

அம்மா: "நான் இன்னும் பத்து நாட்கள்கூட உயிருடன் இருப்பேன் என்று எனக்குத் தோன்றவில்லை. வசந்திக்கு உங்களை மிகவும் பிடிக்கும். நீங்கள் அவளைத் திருமணம் செய்து கொள்ள வேண்டும். எனக்கு அந்த வாக்குறுதியைக் கொடுங்கள்."

ராம்: "நிச்சயமாக நான் வசந்தியைத் திருமணம் செய்து கொள்வேன். அதைப் பற்றி நீங்கள் கவலைப்பட வேண்டாம். நீங்கள் இன்னும் பல ஆண்டுகள் நலமாக வாழ்வீர்கள்."

அம்மா: "நன்றி ராம். ஆனால் டாக்டர்கள் நான் பிழைப்பதற்கான வாய்ப்பு மிகவும் குறைவு என்று கூறுகிறார்கள்."

வசந்தி: "அம்மா, ஏன் இப்படியெல்லாம் பேசுகிறீர்கள்?"

அம்மா: "இல்லை வசந்தி. என் உள்ளுணர்வு எனக்கு இன்னும் சில நாட்கள்தான் இருப்பதாகச் சொல்கிறது. உனக்கு நல்ல கணவர் கிடைத்திருக்கிறார் என்பதில் நான் மிகவும் மகிழ்ச்சியாக இருக்கிறேன்."

வசந்தி: "அம்மா, நீங்கள் இன்னும் பல ஆண்டுகள் வாழ வேண்டும் என்று நான் இறைவனை மனமாரப் பிரார்த்திக்கிறேன்."

அம்மா: "நானும் அதைத்தான் விரும்புகிறேன், வசந்தி. ஆனால்..."

Vasanthi was overjoyed that Ram had found good company for his journey to his destination, Bengaluru.

That night, she couldn't fall asleep because the sweet memories of the precious moments she had spent with Ram kept replaying in her mind.

As they traveled by car, Ram couldn't pay attention to the conversation between Radhika and her husband. His thoughts were completely occupied by the unforgettable moments he had shared with his beautiful Vasanthi at the beautiful Brindavan Gardens.

By the time they reached Bengaluru, it was midnight. Ram sincerely thanked Radhika and her husband for giving him a lift and then went home.

The memories of that first beautiful experience with Vasanthi kept him awake that night as well.

The next day, Ram went to work as usual.

A few days passed. One day, Ram received some news through one of his friends.

The moment he heard the news, Ram was stunned with shock.

The Sunday topic given by our Madhyamar Group Administrator is "Niragarippu" (Rejection).

Everyone experiences rejection at some point in life. Our wishes, dreams, or passions may not always be accepted by others. However, many times the feeling of being rejected is only our perception and not the actual intention of others. When our feelings and aspirations are genuine, meaningful, and acceptable, they will eventually be recognized. That is my opinion.

I, too, experienced rejection in the early stages of my career. When I chose the profession of a Medical Representative, many of my family members questioned my decision. Their main concern was the extensive touring and travelling involved in the job. They felt it was not the right career for me.

But I was convinced about my choice. I loved meeting doctors, interacting with distinguished professionals, and promoting medicines that would ultimately help people suffering from illness. I believed that, in my own way, I was contributing to the service of humanity.

With time, my family understood my passion and accepted my decision. The rejection I once experienced gradually turned into appreciation and encouragement.

This unforgettable experience taught me that rejection is not always the end. Sometimes it is only the beginning of understanding, acceptance, and success. If we have confidence in our purpose and remain committed, today's rejection can become tomorrow's recognition.

நமது மத்யமர் குழு நிர்வாகி இந்த ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமை வழங்கிய தலைப்பு "நிராகரிப்பு".

வாழ்க்கையில் ஒவ்வொருவரும் ஏதோ ஒரு கட்டத்தில் நிராகரிப்பை சந்திப்பது இயல்பானது. நமது விருப்பங்கள், கனவுகள் அல்லது ஆர்வங்கள் எல்லா நேரங்களிலும் பிறரால் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளப்படாது. ஆனால் பல சமயங்களில், நாம் நிராகரிக்கப்பட்டதாக உணர்வது பிறரின் உண்மையான எண்ணம் அல்ல; அது நமது மனதில் தோன்றும் ஒரு உணர்வாக மட்டுமே இருக்கலாம். நமது எண்ணங்களும், விருப்பங்களும் உண்மையானவையாகவும், அர்த்தமுள்ளவையாகவும், ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளத்தக்கவையாகவும் இருந்தால், அவை ஒருநாள் நிச்சயமாக அங்கீகரிக்கப்படும். இதுவே எனது கருத்து.

என் வாழ்க்கையிலும் ஆரம்பகால பணிக்காலத்தில் இப்படிப்பட்ட ஒரு நிராகரிப்பை நான் அனுபவித்திருக்கிறேன். நான் மருத்துவப் பிரதிநிதி (Medical Representative) என்ற தொழிலைத் தேர்ந்தெடுத்தபோது, என் குடும்பத்தினரில் பலர் அந்த முடிவை கேள்விக்குள்ளாக்கினர். அந்தப் பணியில் அதிக அளவில் பயணம் மற்றும் சுற்றுப்பயணம் மேற்கொள்ள வேண்டியிருப்பதே அவர்களின் முக்கிய கவலையாக இருந்தது. அந்தத் தொழில் எனக்கு ஏற்றதல்ல என்று அவர்கள் நினைத்தனர்.

ஆனால் என் தேர்வில் எனக்கு முழு நம்பிக்கை இருந்தது. மருத்துவர்களைச் சந்திப்பதும், சிறந்த மருத்துவ நிபுணர்களுடன் கலந்துரையாடுவதும், நோயாளிகளின் நலனுக்காக பயன்படும் மருந்துகளை அறிமுகப்படுத்துவதும் எனக்கு மிகவும் பிடித்திருந்தது. இதன் மூலம், என் பங்கிற்கு மனிதகுலத்திற்கு ஒரு சிறிய சேவை செய்து வருகிறேன் என்ற மனநிறைவு எனக்கிருந்தது.

காலப்போக்கில், என் குடும்பத்தினரும் என் ஆர்வத்தையும் அர்ப்பணிப்பையும் புரிந்துகொண்டு, என் முடிவை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டனர். ஒரு காலத்தில் நான் சந்தித்த நிராகரிப்பு, பின்னர் பாராட்டாகவும் ஊக்கமாகவும் மாறியது.

எனது அன்பு நண்பர் திரு. லட்சுமிநரசிம்மன் அவர்களுக்கு மரியாதை செலுத்தும் இந்த வாய்ப்பைப் பெற்றிருப்பது எனக்கு மிகுந்த மகிழ்ச்சியும் பெருமையும் அளிக்கிறது. கடந்த எட்டு ஆண்டுகளுக்கும் மேலாக அவருடன் இனிய நட்பைப் பகிர்ந்து வருகிறேன். எங்கள் இருவரின் பொதுநண்பரின் மகளின் திருமணத்தில் கலந்துகொள்வதற்காக ரயிலில் பயணம் செய்தபோது முதன்முதலாக சந்தித்தோம். அந்தத் தற்செயலான சந்திப்பு, காலப்போக்கில் நிலையான மற்றும் அர்த்தமுள்ள நட்பாக மலர்ந்தது.

லட்சுமிநரசிம்மன் அவர்கள் மின்பொறியியல் துறையில் சிறந்து விளங்கும் ஆலோசகர். தொழில்முறை திறமை, அர்ப்பணிப்பு, கடமை உணர்வு ஆகியவற்றில் அவர் காட்டும் சிறப்பான செயல்பாடுகள் எப்போதும் என்னை வியப்பில் ஆழ்த்தியுள்ளன. தொழில்திறன் மட்டுமல்லாமல், தொடர்ந்து கற்றுக்கொள்ளும் ஆர்வமும், தன்முன்னேற்றத்திற்கான ஈடுபாடும் கொண்டவர்களை நான் மிகவும் மதிக்கிறேன். அந்த உயரிய பண்புகளை ஒருங்கே கொண்டவர் லட்சுமிநரசிம்மன் அவர்கள்.

தொழில்முறை சாதனைகளுக்கு அப்பால், படைப்பாற்றல் மிக்க செயல்பாடுகளிலும் அவருக்கு ஆழ்ந்த ஆர்வம் உள்ளது. மேலும், அவர் தீவிர வாசிப்புப் பழக்கம் கொண்டவர். நான் எழுதும் பதிவுகளைத் தொடர்ந்து வாசித்து வரும் நிரந்தர வாசகர்களில் ஒருவராக அவர் இருப்பது எனக்கு பெரும் மகிழ்ச்சி அளிக்கிறது. அவர் வழங்கும் ஊக்கமளிக்கும் வார்த்தைகளும் சிந்தனையூட்டும் கருத்துகளும் தொடர்ந்து எழுதுவதற்கு எனக்கு உற்சாகத்தை அளித்து வருகின்றன.

“அறிவே ஆற்றல்.” அதேபோல், ஒத்த சிந்தனையும் உயர்ந்த மதிப்புகளும் கொண்டவர்களுடன் தொடர்பில் இருப்பது வாழ்க்கையின் ஒரு பெரிய வரமாகும். தொழில்முறை மேன்மை, அறிவார்வம் மற்றும் அன்பான, ஆதரவான குணநலன்களை ஒருங்கே கொண்ட பன்முகத் திறமைமிக்க ஆளுமைதான் லட்சுமிநரசிம்மன் அவர்கள்.

Lakshminarasimhan is an outstanding consultant in the field of Electrical Engineering. His professional excellence, dedication, and commitment to his work have always earned my admiration. I have great respect for people who possess not only professional competence but also a genuine passion for learning and personal growth, and he is one such person.

Beyond his professional achievements, he has a keen interest in creative pursuits and is an avid reader. I feel fortunate that he is one of the regular readers of my posts. His encouraging words and thoughtful feedback have always motivated me to continue writing.

ராம் தனது இலக்கான பெங்களூருக்குச் செல்ல நல்ல துணை கிடைத்ததால் வசந்தி மிகவும் மகிழ்ச்சியடைந்தாள்.

அன்று இரவு, ராமுடன் கழித்த இனிய தருணங்களின் நினைவுகள் மனதில் மீண்டும் மீண்டும் தோன்றியதால், அவளால் தூங்க முடியவில்லை.

காரில் பயணம் செய்து கொண்டிருந்தபோது, ராதிகாவும் அவரது கணவரும் பேசிக்கொண்டிருந்த உரையாடலை ராமால் கவனிக்க முடியவில்லை. ஏனெனில், அவனது மனம் தனது அழகிய வசந்தியுடன் அழகிய பிருந்தாவன் தோட்டத்தில் கழித்த மறக்க முடியாத இனிய நேரங்களையே நினைத்துக் கொண்டிருந்தது.

பெங்களூரை அடையும்போது இரவு பன்னிரண்டு மணி ஆகியிருந்தது. லிஃப்ட் கொடுத்த ராதிகாவிற்கும் அவரது கணவருக்கும் ராம் மனமார்ந்த நன்றி தெரிவித்துவிட்டு தனது வீட்டிற்குச் சென்றான்.

While Vasanthi was sitting at the Brindavan Hotel near the K.R.S. Dam, she noticed a small handbag lying on the table next to hers. Thinking that someone must have forgotten it, she looked around, but she couldn't find anyone who seemed to be its owner.

When she picked up the bag, she noticed a phone number written on it. She immediately called the number.

"Hello, who is speaking?" someone answered.

Vasanthi said, "I'm Vasanthi. I'm at the Brindavan Hotel near the K.R.S. Dam. I found your handbag here. May I know your name?"

The person on the other end replied, "Thank you very much, Vasanthi. My name is Radhika. My husband Ravi and I have just finished visiting the gardens and are walking back to our car. I didn't even realize the bag was missing until I received your call. The car key is inside that bag. Please stay there. I'll come and collect it."

A short while later, Radhika and her husband Ravi arrived.

Vasanthi said, "Hello, I'm Vasanthi, and this is my friend, Ram."

Ravi said, "Please check the bag first."

Vasanthi handed the bag to Radhika. After checking that everything was inside, Radhika said,

"Thank you so much, Vasanthi. This is my husband, Ravi."

Then they said, "We're driving to Bengaluru. If you both would like, you can come with us."

Vasanthi replied, "Thank you. Ram needs to go to Bengaluru."

Radhika asked, "Then what about you?"

Vasanthi answered, "I need to go to Mysuru. I'll take a bus."

Radhika smiled and said, "Why go by bus? We'll first drop you off in Mysuru and then continue our journey to Bengaluru."

Just then, it began to rain heavily.

About forty-five minutes later, they reached Mysuru, and Vasanthi got out of the car.

"Radhika, thank you very much for your help. Here's my visiting card. If you ever come to Mysuru, please do get in touch with me," Vasanthi said.

Radhika replied, "Certainly. Thank you very much. I'll stay in touch. Good night!"

Vasanthi happily bid them farewell. As she thought about how her friend Ram had found a convenient ride to Bengaluru, she silently said to herself, "God is great!"

வாழ்க்கை அழகானது – 21

வசந்தி, கே.ஆர்.எஸ். அணை அருகிலுள்ள பிருந்தாவன் ஹோட்டலில் அமர்ந்திருந்தபோது, பக்கத்து மேசையில் ஒரு சிறிய கைப்பை கிடப்பதைக் கவனித்தார். யாரோ அதை மறந்துவிட்டுச் சென்றிருக்க வேண்டும் என்று நினைத்து, சுற்றிலும் பார்த்தார். ஆனால் அந்தப் பைக்குச் சொந்தக்காரர் யாரையும் காணவில்லை.

அவர் அந்தப் பையை எடுத்து பார்த்தபோது, மேலே ஒரு தொலைபேசி எண் எழுதப்பட்டிருந்தது. உடனே அந்த எண்ணுக்கு அழைத்தார்.

"ஹலோ, யார் பேசுகிறீர்கள்?" என்று மறுமுனையில் கேட்டார்கள்.

வசந்தி, "நான் வசந்தி பேசுகிறேன். நான் கே.ஆர்.எஸ். அணையில் உள்ள பிருந்தாவன் ஹோட்டலில் இருக்கிறேன். உங்கள் கைப்பை இங்கே கிடைத்தது. உங்கள் பெயர் என்ன?" என்று கேட்டார்.

மறுமுனையில், "மிக்க நன்றி, வசந்தி. என் பெயர் ராதிகா. நானும் என் கணவர் ரவியும் தோட்டத்தைப் பார்த்துவிட்டு காருக்குத் திரும்பிக் கொண்டிருக்கிறோம். உங்கள் அழைப்பு வந்ததால்தான் பை காணாமல் போனதை அறிந்தேன். காரின் சாவி அந்தப் பையில்தான் இருக்கிறது. தயவுசெய்து அங்கேயே இருங்கள். நான் வந்து வாங்கிக்கொள்கிறேன்," என்றார்.

சிறிது நேரத்தில் ராதிகாவும் அவரது கணவர் ரவியும் வந்தனர்.

வசந்தி, "வணக்கம், நான் வசந்தி. இவர் என் நண்பர் ராம்," என்று அறிமுகப்படுத்தினார்.

ரவி, "தயவுசெய்து பையைச் சரிபார்த்துப் பாருங்கள்," என்றார்.

வசந்தி பையை ராதிகாவிடம் கொடுத்தார். ராதிகா எல்லாவற்றையும் சரிபார்த்துவிட்டு,

"மிக்க நன்றி, வசந்தி. இவர் என் கணவர் ரவி," என்று அறிமுகப்படுத்தினார்.

பிறகு அவர்கள், "நாங்கள் பெங்களூருக்குச் செல்கிறோம். நீங்கள் இருவரும் விரும்பினால் எங்களுடன் வாருங்கள்," என்றார்கள்.

வசந்தி, "நன்றி. ராம் பெங்களூருக்குச் செல்ல வேண்டும்," என்றார்.

ராதிகா, "அப்படியானால் நீங்கள்?" என்று கேட்டார்.

வசந்தி, "நான் மைசூருக்குச் செல்ல வேண்டும். பேருந்தில் போய்விடுவேன்," என்றார்.

ராதிகா, "அதில் என்ன பிரச்சனை? முதலில் உங்களை மைசூரில் இறக்கிவிட்டு, பிறகு நாங்கள் பெங்களூருக்குச் செல்கிறோம்," என்றார்.

அந்த நேரத்தில் பலத்த மழை பெய்யத் தொடங்கியது.

சுமார் நாற்பத்தைந்து நிமிடங்களில் அவர்கள் மைசூரை அடைந்தனர். வசந்தி காரிலிருந்து இறங்கினார்.

"ராதிகா, உங்கள் உதவிக்கு மிக்க நன்றி. இது என்னுடைய முகவரி அட்டை. எப்போதாவது மைசூருக்கு வந்தால் கண்டிப்பாக என்னைத் தொடர்பு கொள்ளுங்கள்," என்று வசந்தி கூறினார்.

ராதிகா, "கண்டிப்பாக. மிகவும் நன்றி. தொடர்பில் இருப்பேன். இனிய இரவு வணக்கம்," என்றார்.

வசந்தி மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் அவர்களிடம் விடைபெற்றார். தனது நண்பர் ராமுக்கு பெங்களூருக்குச் செல்ல நல்ல பயண வசதி கிடைத்ததை நினைத்து, மனதிற்குள், "கடவுள் பெரியவர்!" என்று சொல்லிக்கொண்டார்.

Suddenly rain started in the Beautiful  brindavan gardens.Ram and vasanthi rushed to the near hotel for shelter.Rain started pouring heavily and ram was worried, how to reach bangalore ,for tomorrow’s work.His thinking was removed by vasanthi’s intervention.

Ram,are you bother about reaching bangalore.

Ram.Yes ,vasanthi,how long this rain will continue ,i do n’t know.

Vasanthi.It may stop with in half an hour,by the time we will have our dinner or tiffin.

Ram.O,k.we will have tiffin ,Vasanthi.

Fine,i was also thinking of taking tiffin only,because of afternoon heavy lunch.

They ordered for Mysore  Masal dosai,which was famous in Mysore.

Vasanthi. Ram ,i hope you enjoyed today

அழகிய பிருந்தாவன் பூங்காவில் திடீரென மழை பெய்யத் தொடங்கியது. ராமும் வசந்தியும் அருகிலிருந்த ஒரு ஹோட்டலுக்குள் மழையிலிருந்து தஞ்சம் புகுந்தனர்.

மழை மிகவும் பலமாகக் கொட்டியது. அதை பார்த்த ராம், "நாளை வேலைக்காக பெங்களூருக்குச் செல்ல வேண்டுமே, எப்படி போவேன்?" என்று கவலையுடன் யோசித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தான்.

அப்போது வசந்தி அவன் சிந்தனையைக் கலைத்தாள்.

வசந்தி: "ராம், பெங்களூருக்குப் போவது பற்றித்தானே கவலைப்படுகிறீர்கள்?"

ராம்: "ஆமாம், வசந்தி. இந்த மழை எவ்வளவு நேரம் நீடிக்கும் என்று தெரியவில்லையே."

வசந்தி: "அரை மணி நேரத்திற்குள் நின்றுவிடலாம். அதற்குள் இரவு உணவோ அல்லது டிபனோ சாப்பிடலாம்."

ராம்: "சரி. டிபன் சாப்பிடலாம்."

வசந்தி: "நானும் அதைத்தான் நினைத்தேன். மதியம் நிறைய சாப்பிட்டதால் இப்போது டிபன் போதுமானது."

இருவரும் மைசூரின் புகழ்பெற்ற மைசூர் மசாலா தோசையை ஆர்டர் செய்தனர்.

வசந்தி: "ராம், இன்றைய நாளை நீங்கள் ரசித்தீர்களா?"

ராம்: "நிச்சயமாக. உங்களுக்கு எப்படி இருந்தது?"

வசந்தி: "இந்த அனுபவம் மிகவும் இனிமையாகவும், மனதுக்கு மகிழ்ச்சியாகவும், எல்லாவற்றிற்கும் மேலாக மிகவும் அழகாகவும் இருந்தது."

ராம்: "எனக்கும் அப்படித்தான். இன்று ஒரு கதாநாயகனாக இருந்த உணர்வு ஏற்பட்டது."

வசந்தி: "சந்தேகமே இல்லை. நீங்கள் என் கதாநாயகன்."

அந்த நேரத்தில், சர்வர் சூடாக ஆவிபறக்கும் மசாலா தோசையை கொண்டு வந்தார்.

ராம்: "உங்கள் இனிய பாராட்டுக்கு நன்றி. நான் உங்கள் கதாநாயகன் என்றால், நீங்கள் என் கதாநாயகி."

வசந்தி: "உண்மையாகவா, ராம்?"

ராம்: "ஏன்? உனக்கு சந்தேகமா? நீ என் அழகான கதாநாயகி."

வசந்தி: "உங்களைப் போன்ற ஒருவரிடமிருந்து இப்படிப்பட்ட பாராட்டு கிடைத்தது எனக்கு மிகுந்த பெருமையாக இருக்கிறது."

ராமும் வசந்தியும் டிபனை முடித்துவிட்டு, பில் வருவதற்காக காத்திருந்தனர்.

அந்த நேரத்தில், யாரும் எதிர்பார்க்காத ஒரு சம்பவம் நடந்தது.

I write in reference to Dr Ebtesam Al Ketbi’s article Gulf countries are in a grey zone between war and peace (July 12): the recent mutual escalations between Washington and Tehran are not healthy signs. The Middle East continues to face instability due to recurring tensions, while the global economy is also experiencing uncertainty. It is hoped that both Tehran and Washington will end these escalations, return to the path of dialogue and commit to a lasting peace process. Such a move would not only contribute to regional and global peace but also help ensure the safety and confidence of students, travellers and ordinary citizens around the world. Vasanthi suggested that Ram visit the famous Brindavan Gardens to see the beautiful illuminated lights. On holidays, the musical lighting show was always held. Since it was a Sunday, she thought it would be the perfect time to go.

Ram agreed, and they took a taxi to the Brindavan Gardens.

The place was crowded with people from all over the world—it was no exaggeration to say so. The main attraction was the illuminated fountains, where the colorful lights danced in perfect harmony with the music. It had been designed by the famous Karnataka engineer and visionary, Sir M. Visvesvaraya.

Vasanthi said, "One of the world's finest gardens, with its musical fountain, is the main highlight."

Ram smiled. "Yes, I agree. With your beautiful narration, this beautiful place has become even more beautiful."

Vasanthi laughed. "No, Ram."

Ram replied, "A fact is a fact. You are also a beautiful woman."

The moment he said it, Ram wondered why he had made such a personal comment.

Vasanthi smiled shyly. "Really? Am I beautiful? Then you are handsome too."

Ram laughed. "Thank you for the compliment."

They then started walking across the green lawns, enjoying the beauty of the gardens.

Vasanthi said softly, "Today is a memorable day for me."

Ram asked, "What is the reason?"

She replied, "Because I am walking with you."

Ram smiled. "It is memorable for me too. If I tell you something, you should not misunderstand me."

Vasanthi replied, "Whatever you say, I won't misunderstand."

Ram said, "Being here with you reminds me of the old film songs picturized on a hero and heroine in beautiful gardens."

Vasanthi exclaimed, "Oh, my God! What a beautiful imagination! I like it."

"Thank you," Ram said.

After a brief silence, Vasanthi continued, "I have met many people in my life, but I don't know why—you have impressed me."

Ram looked at her warmly. "I feel the same."

Just then, dark clouds gathered in the sky, and a gentle rain began to fall.

வாழ்க்கை அழகானது – 19

புகழ்பெற்ற பிருந்தாவன் பூங்காவை (Brindavan Gardens) சென்று, அங்குள்ள வண்ணமயமான ஒளி அலங்காரங்களையும் இசையுடன் கூடிய நீரூற்று நிகழ்ச்சியையும் பார்க்கலாம் என்று வசந்தி ராமிடம் பரிந்துரைத்தாள். விடுமுறை நாட்களில் அந்த இசை–ஒளி நிகழ்ச்சி நடைபெறும். அன்று ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமை என்பதால், செல்ல மிகவும் ஏற்ற நாள் என்று அவள் நினைத்தாள்.

ராமும் சம்மதித்தார். இருவரும் ஒரு டாக்ஸியில் பிருந்தாவன் பூங்காவிற்குச் சென்றனர்.

அந்த இடம் உலகின் பல பகுதிகளிலிருந்தும் வந்திருந்த மக்களால் நிரம்பி வழிந்தது. அப்படிச் சொன்னால் அது மிகைப்படுத்தல் அல்ல. அங்குள்ள முக்கியமான ஈர்ப்பு, இசைக்கு ஏற்ப வண்ணமயமான ஒளிகளில் நடனமாடும் இசை நீரூற்றுகளே. இந்த அற்புதமான அமைப்பை கர்நாடகத்தின் புகழ்பெற்ற பொறியியலாளரும் தொலைநோக்குப் பார்வை கொண்டவருமான சர் எம். விஸ்வேஸ்வரய்யா வடிவமைத்தார்.

வசந்தி கூறினாள்:

"உலகின் மிகச் சிறந்த பூங்காக்களில் இதுவும் ஒன்று. குறிப்பாக இங்குள்ள இசை நீரூற்றுதான் இதன் முக்கியமான சிறப்பு."

ராம் புன்னகையுடன் கூறினார்:

"ஆம், நான் ஒத்துக்கொள்கிறேன். ஆனால், உன் அழகான வர்ணனையால் இந்த அழகான இடம் இன்னும் அழகாகத் தோன்றுகிறது."

வசந்தி சிரித்தாள்.

"இல்லை, ராம்."

ராம் சொன்னார்:

"உண்மை என்றால் உண்மைதான். நீங்களும் மிகவும் அழகான பெண்."

அப்படிச் சொன்னவுடன், ஏன் இவ்வளவு தனிப்பட்ட கருத்தை தன்னால் சொல்ல முடிந்தது என்று ராம் மனதிற்குள் ஆச்சரியப்பட்டார்.

வசந்தி வெட்கத்துடன் புன்னகைத்து கேட்டாள்:

"உண்மையாகவா? நான் அழகாக இருக்கிறேனா? அப்படியானால் நீங்களும் மிகவும் அழகானவர்தான்."

ராம் சிரித்தபடி,

"இந்தப் பாராட்டுக்கு நன்றி," என்றார்.

பின்னர் இருவரும் பசுமையான புல்வெளிகளின் வழியாக மெதுவாக நடந்தபடி, பூங்காவின் இயற்கை அழகை ரசித்தனர்.

மென்மையான குரலில் வசந்தி சொன்னாள்:

"இன்று என் வாழ்க்கையில் மறக்க முடியாத ஒரு நாள்."

ராம் கேட்டார்:

"அதற்குக் காரணம் என்ன?"

அவள் பதிலளித்தாள்:

"ஏனென்றால், இன்று நான் உங்களுடன் சேர்ந்து நடந்து கொண்டிருக்கிறேன்."

ராம் புன்னகையுடன் கூறினார்:

"எனக்கும் இன்றைய நாள் மறக்க முடியாததுதான். நான் ஒன்று சொன்னால், தயவு செய்து தவறாக எடுத்துக்கொள்ளக் கூடாது."

வசந்தி உடனே,

"நீங்கள் எதைச் சொன்னாலும் நான் தவறாக நினைக்க மாட்டேன்," என்றாள்.

ராம் கூறினார்:

"உங்களுடன் இங்கே நடந்து கொண்டிருப்பது, அழகான பூங்காக்களில் கதாநாயகனும் கதாநாயகியும் தோன்றும் பழைய திரைப்படப் பாடல்களை எனக்கு நினைவூட்டுகிறது."

வசந்தி மகிழ்ச்சியுடன்,

"அய்யோ! என்ன அழகான கற்பனை! எனக்கு அது மிகவும் பிடித்திருக்கிறது," என்றாள்.

"நன்றி," என்று ராம் கூறினார்.

சிறிது நேர அமைதிக்குப் பிறகு, வசந்தி மீண்டும் பேசினாள்:

"என் வாழ்க்கையில் நான் பலரை சந்தித்திருக்கிறேன். ஆனால் ஏனென்று தெரியவில்லை... நீங்கள் என்னை மிகவும் கவர்ந்துவிட்டீர்கள்."

ராம் அன்பான பார்வையுடன் அவளை நோக்கி,

"எனக்கும் அதே உணர்வுதான்," என்றார்.

அந்த நேரத்தில் வானம் கருமேகங்களால் சூழப்பட்டது. சிறிது நேரத்தில் மென்மையான மழைத்துளிகள் பொழியத் தொடங்கின.

GoodSerial Sankranthi.

 Another interesting clip featuring award-winning director T. S. Nagabharana with Hulichandru (Episode 28, if I am right) was a delight to watch. The interaction was engaging, especially as they reminisced about their experiences while making the old serial Sankranthi.

The discussion on how the story was created, how village games—especially Huli Attam—were portrayed, and how the serial was accepted by viewers was very interesting. The depiction of the traditional village system of exchanging goods was also thoughtfully presented. The choice of location and the overall framework added authenticity to the narrative.

A strong message conveyed through the serial was that games should be played for enjoyment and not for money. This was effectively expressed through the four people playing together. It also showed how innocent villagers are often trapped into gambling for money. The portrayal of card playing, which has existed for decades, and how it can lead people into difficulties was realistic and meaningful.

Acharya and Seshappa are memorable and well-written characters who added depth to the story.

Overall, it was a wonderful interaction revisiting the old serial and its core theme. It brought back fond memories while highlighting the timeless social messages that remain relevant even today.

Ram had never imagined, even in his dreams, that Vasanthi would suddenly embrace him. Experiencing the warm hug of a young woman for the first time in his life, he cherished that precious moment with all his heart.

Vasanthi, too, experienced a new and unfamiliar feeling. Frightened by the lion's sudden roar, she instinctively clung tightly to Ram without even realizing it. By nature, Vasanthi was a gentle and sensitive person who was easily startled by unexpected loud noises and frightening sights.

Vasanthi: "Ram, please forgive me. The lion's roar frightened me so much."

Ram: "It's alright, Vasanthi. That's a completely natural reaction."

For the first time in her life, Vasanthi had embraced a handsome young man. That embrace awakened new and unfamiliar emotions in both her heart and her mind. Ram experienced the same feelings as well.

Ram: "This is the first time I've ever experienced something like this."

Vasanthi: "The same is true for me, Ram. This is my first experience too."

Smiling at each other, they continued exploring the zoo together.

Ram: "There are two things I love the most. One is my profession, and the other is this beautiful life. God has blessed all of us with wonderful gifts—the ability to see, hear, taste, and appreciate the beauty of this world."

வாழ்க்கை அழகானது – பகுதி 18

ராம் கனவிலும் நினைத்ததில்லை—வசந்தி திடீரென்று தன்னை அணைத்துக்கொள்வாள் என்று. தனது வாழ்நாளில் முதல் முறையாக ஒரு இளம் பெண்ணின் அன்பான அரவணைப்பை உணர்ந்த அவர், அந்த இனிய தருணத்தை மனமாரப் பொக்கிஷமாக நினைவில் பதித்துக்கொண்டார்.

வசந்திக்கும் அதுபோன்ற ஒரு புதிய, இதுவரை அறியாத உணர்வு ஏற்பட்டது. சிங்கத்தின் திடீர் கர்ஜனையால் பயந்துபோன அவள், தன்னை அறியாமலேயே ராமை இறுக்கமாகப் பற்றிக்கொண்டாள். இயல்பிலேயே வசந்தி மிகவும் மென்மையான மனம் கொண்டவள்; திடீரென எழும் பெரும் சத்தங்களும் பயமுறுத்தும் காட்சிகளும் அவளை எளிதில் அச்சப்படுத்தும்.

வசந்தி: "ராம், என்னை மன்னித்துவிடுங்கள். சிங்கத்தின் கர்ஜனை என்னை மிகவும் பயமுறுத்திவிட்டது."

ராம்: "பரவாயில்லை, வசந்தி. அது மிகவும் இயல்பான எதிர்வினைதான்."

தன் வாழ்க்கையில் முதல் முறையாக, வசந்தி ஒரு அழகான இளைஞரை அணைத்திருந்தாள். அந்த அரவணைப்பு அவளது மனதிலும் இதயத்திலும் இதுவரை அறியாத புதிய உணர்வுகளை எழுப்பியது. ராமுக்கும் அதேபோன்ற உணர்வுகள் தோன்றின.

ராம்: "என் வாழ்க்கையில் இதுபோன்ற அனுபவம் இதுவே முதல் முறை."

வசந்தி: "எனக்கும் அதேதான், ராம். இதுவே என் முதல் அனுபவம்."

இருவரும் ஒருவரை ஒருவர் புன்னகையுடன் பார்த்துக்கொண்டு, உயிரியல் பூங்காவைத் தொடர்ந்து சுற்றிப் பார்த்தனர்.

ராம்: "எனக்கு மிகவும் பிடித்த இரண்டு விஷயங்கள் இருக்கின்றன. ஒன்று என் தொழில்; மற்றொன்று இந்த அழகான வாழ்க்கை. இந்த உலகின் அழகை காணவும், கேட்கவும், சுவைக்கவும், ரசிக்கவும் தேவையான அற்புதமான வரங்களை கடவுள் நமக்கெல்லாம் அளித்திருக்கிறார்."

வசந்தி: "எனக்கும் இந்த அழகான வாழ்க்கை மிகவும் பிடிக்கும். சுவாமி விவேகானந்தர் கூறியது போல, 'நீ மகிழ்ச்சியாக இருக்கிறாய் என்று நினைத்தால், உண்மையிலேயே மகிழ்ச்சியாக இருப்பாய். மனமே எல்லாமாகும்.'"

ராம்: "ஆஹா! அந்த தத்துவம் எனக்கும் மிகவும் பிடித்திருக்கிறது."

உயிரியல் பூங்காவை முழுவதும் சுற்றிப் பார்த்த பிறகு, வசந்தி ராமிடம் இன்னொரு யோசனையைப் பகிர்ந்தாள்.

அவள் கூறிய அந்த யோசனை ராமை மிகவும் கவர்ந்தது.

Ram accepted Vasanthi's request.

Ram: "Alright, Vasanthi. I'll stay in a hotel tonight."

Vasanthi: "If you don't mind, you can stay at my friend's house. It's very close to the room where I'm staying."

Ram: "Okay. But how can I stay at a young woman's house?"

Vasanthi: "She lives with her parents. Her father is a very kind man, and you'll enjoy talking with him. After all, you like good conversations and good company, don't you?"

Ram: "In that case, that's fine. But have you asked her?"

Vasanthi: "That won't be a problem. She's my close friend. We can go to her house after lunch."

After finishing lunch, the two of them went to Vasanthi's friend Gayathri's house. Gayathri warmly welcomed them. Without any hesitation, she obtained her father's permission and arranged for Ram to stay there.

Vasanthi: "Alright, Ram. Please take some rest. I'll come back in the evening. Then we can visit the Mysore Zoo. It's one of the most famous zoos in India. Gayathri, you can come with us too."

Gayathri: "I'm sorry. I have to visit a relative's house with my father."

Vasanthi left and returned at around 4:00 p.m. She and Ram reached the Mysore Zoo at about 4:30 p.m.

The Mysore Zoo is one of India's finest zoological parks, well known for its excellent maintenance and its collection of rare animals. The two of them walked leisurely through the zoo, enjoying the birds and animals.

Suddenly, they heard the loud roar of a wild animal.

Startled by the deafening sound, Vasanthi instinctively became frightened and, without even realizing it, tightly hugged Ram.

Ram had never expected such an embrace from Vasanthi.

Why did Vasanthi do that? What was the reason?

வாழ்க்கை அழகானது – 17

ராம் வசந்தியின் வேண்டுகோளை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டார்.

ராம்: சரி, வசந்தி. இன்று நான் ஒரு ஹோட்டலில் தங்கிக்கொள்கிறேன்.

வசந்தி: உங்களுக்கு ஆட்சேபனை இல்லையென்றால், என் தோழி வீட்டில் தங்கலாம். அது என் அறைக்கு மிகவும் அருகில் இருக்கிறது.

ராம்: சரி. ஆனால், ஒரு பெண்ணின் வீட்டில் நான் எப்படி தங்க முடியும்?

வசந்தி: அவள் தன் பெற்றோருடன் வசிக்கிறாள். அவளுடைய அப்பா மிகவும் நல்லவர். அவருடன் சுவாரஸ்யமாகப் பேசலாம். உங்களுக்குப் பிடித்தது நல்ல உரையாடலும் நல்ல துணையும்தானே!

ராம்: அப்படியானால் பரவாயில்லை. அவளிடம் கேட்டுவிட்டாயா?

வசந்தி: அதில் எந்தப் பிரச்சினையும் இல்லை. அவள் என் நெருங்கிய தோழி. மதிய உணவுக்குப் பிறகு அவள் வீட்டிற்குப் போகலாம்.

மதிய உணவை முடித்த பிறகு, இருவரும் வசந்தியின் தோழி காயத்ரியின் வீட்டை அடைந்தனர். காயத்ரி இருவரையும் மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் வரவேற்றாள். எந்தத் தயக்கமும் இல்லாமல், ராம் தங்குவதற்கு தனது தந்தையிடம் அனுமதி பெற்று அளித்தாள்.

வசந்தி: சரி, ராம். நீங்கள் சிறிது ஓய்வெடுங்கள். மாலையில் நான் வருகிறேன். பிறகு நாம் மிருகக்காட்சிசாலைக்குப் போகலாம். மைசூர் மிருகக்காட்சிசாலை மிகவும் புகழ்பெற்றது. காயத்ரி, நீயும் எங்களுடன் வரலாம்.

காயத்ரி: மன்னிக்கவும். நான் என் அப்பாவுடன் உறவினர் வீட்டிற்குச் செல்ல வேண்டும்.

வசந்தி அங்கிருந்து புறப்பட்டு, மாலை 4 மணிக்கு மீண்டும் வந்தாள். ராமும் வசந்தியும் மாலை 4.30 மணிக்கு மைசூர் மிருகக்காட்சிசாலையை அடைந்தனர்.

மைசூர் மிருகக்காட்சிசாலை, சிறந்த பராமரிப்பிற்கும் அரிய விலங்குகளுக்கும் பெயர் பெற்ற இந்தியாவின் மிகச் சிறந்த மிருகக்காட்சிசாலைகளில் ஒன்றாகும். இருவரும் பறவைகளையும் விலங்குகளையும் ரசித்தபடி மெதுவாக நடந்து கொண்டிருந்தனர்.

திடீரென்று ஒரு விலங்கின் பெரும் கர்ஜனை கேட்டது. அந்தச் சத்தத்தைக் கேட்ட வசந்தி பயந்துபோய், தன்னையும் அறியாமல் ராமை இறுகக் கட்டிப்பிடித்தாள்.

வசந்தியிடமிருந்து இப்படிப்பட்ட அணைப்பை ராம் சிறிதும் எதிர்பார்க்கவில்லை.

வசந்தி ஏன் அப்படிச் செய்தாள்? அதன் காரணம் என்ன?

Ram found himself once again immersed in the old memories he had left behind in Mercara.

A few weeks after meeting Vasanthi, Ram saw her again at his friend's wedding in Mysore. Since the bride, Sheela, was Vasanthi's close friend, she had also come to attend the wedding.

Vasanthi stood at the main entrance of the wedding hall, warmly welcoming the guests as they arrived. The moment she saw Ram walk in, her face lit up with delight, and she exclaimed,

"Hello, Ram! What a wonderful surprise! I'm so happy to see you here! After meeting in Coorg, we're seeing each other again!"

Ram smiled and replied,

"It's a wonderful surprise for me too, Vasanthi."

That day, Vasanthi looked stunning in a green saree. Combined with her sweet smile, she captivated everyone around her.

Ram asked,

"The groom is one of my closest friends. How did you happen to come to this wedding?"

Vasanthi replied,

"The bride, Sheela, is my close friend."

Hearing that, Ram said with a smile,

"What another amazing coincidence! You're wearing a green saree, and I'm wearing a light green shirt today."

Vasanthi smiled. Her smile sparkled like a hundred pearls shining together.

"Yes, Ram. I noticed that too. Come, let's have breakfast," she said.

She led Ram to the dining hall. Speaking personally to the caterer, she made sure that he was served with special care.

As they enjoyed their favorite sweet, Kesari, Vasanthi's heart overflowed with happiness. She had never imagined, even in her dreams, that she would meet Ram again so soon—the man who had quietly won her heart.

Ram felt exactly the same way.

After a while, Vasanthi asked,

"How much longer are you staying here?"

Ram replied,

"I'm returning to Bangalore this evening."

Vasanthi said gently,

"Tomorrow is Sunday, isn't it? Why don't you stay in Mysore for one more day?"

Ram liked the suggestion very much.

வாழ்க்கை அழகானது – 16

ராம், தான் மெர்காராவில் விட்டுவந்த பழைய நினைவுகளுக்குள் மீண்டும் மூழ்கினான்.

வசந்தியைச் சந்தித்த பிறகு, சில வாரங்கள் கழித்து மைசூரில் தனது நண்பரின் திருமணத்தில் ராம் மீண்டும் அவளைச் சந்தித்தான். மணப்பெண் ஷீலா வசந்தியின் நெருங்கிய தோழி என்பதால், அவளும் அந்தத் திருமணத்திற்கு வந்திருந்தாள்.

திருமண மண்டபத்தின் பிரதான நுழைவாயிலில் நின்று, வந்தவர்களை அன்புடன் வரவேற்றுக் கொண்டிருந்தாள் வசந்தி. அப்போது ராம் உள்ளே நுழைந்ததும், மகிழ்ச்சியில் குரல் உயர்த்தி,

"ஹலோ, ராம்! என்ன ஒரு இனிய ஆச்சரியம்! உங்களை இங்கே பார்க்கிறேனே! கூர்கில் சந்தித்த பிறகு, இப்போது மீண்டும் பார்க்கிறோம்!" என்றாள்.

ராம் புன்னகையுடன்,

"எனக்கும் இது ஒரு இனிய ஆச்சரியம்தான், வசந்தி," என்றான்.

அன்று வசந்தி பச்சை நிறப் புடவையில் மிகவும் அழகாகவும், அவளுடைய இனிய புன்னகையுடன் அனைவரையும் கவர்ந்தவளாகவும் தோன்றினாள்.

ராம் கேட்டான்:

"மணமகன் என்னுடைய நெருங்கிய நண்பன். நீங்கள் எப்படி இந்தத் திருமணத்திற்கு வந்தீர்கள்?"

வசந்தி பதிலளித்தாள்:

"மணப்பெண் ஷீலா என் தோழி."

அதைக் கேட்ட ராம் சிரித்தபடி,

"இன்றும் ஒரு வியப்பான ஒற்றுமை. நீங்கள் பச்சை நிறப் புடவை அணிந்திருக்கிறீர்கள். நானும் இளம் பச்சை நிறச் சட்டை அணிந்திருக்கிறேன்," என்றான்.

வசந்தி புன்னகைத்தாள். அவளுடைய புன்னகை, நூறு முத்துக்கள் ஒன்றாக ஒளிர்வதைப் போல மிளிர்ந்தது.

"ஆமாம், ராம். அதையும் நானும் கவனித்தேன். வாருங்கள், காலை உணவு சாப்பிடலாம்," என்றாள்.

அவள் ராமை உணவுக் கூடத்திற்கு அழைத்துச் சென்றாள். சமையல்காரரிடம் நேரடியாகச் சொல்லி, ராமுக்குச் சிறப்பாக உணவு பரிமாறச் செய்தாள்.

இருவரும் தங்களுக்குப் பிடித்த இனிப்பான கேசரியை சுவைத்துக் கொண்டிருந்தனர்.

வசந்தியின் மனம் அளவற்ற மகிழ்ச்சியில் திளைத்தது. ஏனெனில், தனது மனதைக் கவர்ந்த ராமை இவ்வளவு விரைவில் மீண்டும் சந்திப்பேன் என்று அவள் கனவிலும் நினைக்கவில்லை.

ராமின் மனநிலையும் அதேபோலத்தான் இருந்தது.

வசந்தி கேட்டாள்:

"நீங்கள் இன்னும் எவ்வளவு நாள் இங்கே இருப்பீர்கள்?"

ராம் பதிலளித்தான்:

"இன்று மாலை பெங்களூருக்குத் திரும்பப் போகிறேன்."

வசந்தி மெதுவாகச் சொன்னாள்:

"நாளை ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமைதானே! இன்னும் ஒரு நாள் மைசூரிலேயே தங்கலாமே?"

அந்த யோசனை ராமுக்கு மிகவும் பிடித்திருந்தது.

After having tea and feeling refreshed for a few minutes, Ram and Moorthy resumed their journey toward Mysuru. The weather was pleasant and cool. Moorthy drove the car at a speed of 80 kilometers per hour. Around 9:00 p.m., they reached Mysuru.

Moorthy said warmly, “Ram, please have dinner with me before you leave.”

Ram replied, “Thank you. I usually eat only bread or chapati. Today, I'll have some bread with my little friend, Tommy.”

Moorthy smiled and said, “Alright, that's good. Good night,” and bid him farewell.

As soon as Ram opened the front door of his house, Tommy joyfully jumped around, wagging his tail excitedly to welcome him home.

Gently patting Tommy, Ram said, “How are you, my friend? It's time for your dinner.”

He opened the refrigerator and took out a few pieces of bread for Tommy.

Then, after washing his hands and feet, Ram also ate a few pieces of  bread. Afterwards, he closed the front door, sat down in his chair, and began reading the day's newspaper.

When he finished reading the newspaper, he closed his eyes and once again let his mind drift back into the journey of old memories that had been interrupted a few hours earlier.

His lips softly murmured:

“Vasanthi... Vasanthi... where are you?”

 We are amazed to know that our good friend Ramnath has rendered more than 1,000 songs in his own unique whistling style. This is not only admirable but also a matter of great pride for our prestigious group of talented former Medical Representatives.

Rendering over 1,000 songs through whistling is truly a remarkable and unique achievement. It has given Ramnath a distinct identity and earned him well-deserved appreciation.

Kudos to him on this exceptional milestone! Wishing him many more thousands of beautiful whistle renditions in the years to come.

 The "We the Leaders" conference held in Pollachi on 12 July, led by Annamalai, witnessed an impressive gathering of participants, including a large number of educated professionals, students, and members of various institutions.

What stood out was the complete absence of unnecessary publicity—no banners, cut-outs, or extravagant displays. The event reflected simplicity, discipline, and a clear sense of purpose.

People from all age groups participated voluntarily, demonstrating their commitment to the cause. The primary focus of the conference was the need to eliminate alcohol and other toxic substances that are destroying individuals, families, and society.

It was also announced that this conference will be organized every year in July to strengthen public awareness and continue the campaign against alcohol and other harmful substances.

Wishing Annamalai all the very best in this noble mission. May this movement inspire more people to work towards a healthier, addiction-free, and stronger society.

12 ஜூலை அன்று பொள்ளாச்சியில் திரு. அண்ணாமலை அவர்களின் தலைமையில் நடைபெற்ற "We the Leaders" மாநாடு மிகுந்த எழுச்சியுடனும் சிறப்புடனும் நடைபெற்றது. கல்வியறிவு மிக்க தொழில்முறை நிபுணர்கள், மாணவர்கள் மற்றும் பல்வேறு அமைப்புகளைச் சேர்ந்த ஏராளமானோர் இதில் பங்கேற்றனர்.

இந்த மாநாட்டின் மிக முக்கியமான சிறப்பம்சம் தேவையற்ற விளம்பரங்கள் எதுவும் இல்லாததுதான். பேனர்கள், கட்-அவுட்கள் அல்லது ஆடம்பரமான அலங்காரங்கள் எதுவும் இன்றி, எளிமை, ஒழுக்கம் மற்றும் தெளிவான நோக்கத்துடன் நிகழ்ச்சி நடைபெற்றது.

.வாழ்க்கை அழகானது – 15

தேநீர் அருந்தி, சில நிமிடங்கள் புத்துணர்ச்சி அடைந்த பிறகு, ராமும் மூர்த்தியும் மீண்டும் மைசூரை நோக்கி தங்கள் பயணத்தைத் தொடர்ந்தனர். வானிலை மிகவும் இதமாகவும் குளிர்ச்சியாகவும் இருந்தது. மூர்த்தி மணிக்கு 80 கிலோமீட்டர் வேகத்தில் காரை ஓட்டினார். இரவு 9 மணியளவில் அவர்கள் மைசூரை அடைந்தனர்.

மூர்த்தி, “ராம், என்னுடன் இரவு உணவு சாப்பிட்டு விட்டு செல்லுங்கள்,” என்று அன்புடன் கேட்டார்.

ராம், “நன்றி. நான் வழக்கமாக ரொட்டியோ அல்லது சப்பாத்தியோ தான் சாப்பிடுவேன். இன்று என் சிறிய நண்பன் டாமியுடன் சேர்ந்து ரொட்டி சாப்பிடுகிறேன்,” என்றார்.

மூர்த்தி, “சரி, நல்லது. இனிய இரவு வணக்கம்,” என்று கூறி விடைபெற்றார்.

ராம் வீட்டின் கதவைத் திறந்தவுடன், டாமி மகிழ்ச்சியில் துள்ளிக் குதித்து, வாலை ஆட்டிக்கொண்டு அவரை வரவேற்றது.

ராம் டாமியை அன்பாகத் தடவியபடி, “எப்படி இருக்கிறாய் என் நண்பா? உன் இரவு உணவு சாப்பிடும் நேரம் வந்துவிட்டது,” என்றார்.

அவர் குளிர்சாதனப் பெட்டியைத் திறந்து, டாமிக்காக சில ரொட்டித் துண்டுகளை எடுத்தார்.

பிறகு கைகால் கழுவிக்கொண்டு, ராமும் சில ரொட்டித் துண்டுகளைச் சாப்பிட்டார். அதன் பின் வீட்டின் கதவை மூடிவிட்டு, தனது நாற்காலியில் அமர்ந்து அன்றைய நாளிதழைப் படிக்கத் தொடங்கினார்.

செய்தித்தாளைப் படித்து முடித்ததும், கண்களை மூடி, சில மணி நேரத்திற்கு முன் இடைநிறுத்தப்பட்ட தனது பழைய நினைவுகளின் பின்னோக்கிப் பயணத்தை மீண்டும் மனதில் ஓட்டத் தொடங்கினார்.

அவரது உதடுகள் மெதுவாக முணுமுணுத்தன:

“வசந்தி... வசந்தி... நீ எங்கே இருக்கிறாய்?”
