The recent verdict on the Aadhaar card from the Indian Supreme Court was a landmark judgment and a great relief for billions of Indians (“Ruling a blow to the government”, Gulf News, August 25). Before introducing this, the previous government thought of the privacy of the people. Despite the extension dates, many have still not received this card. Privacy should be preserved and that is the fundamental right of every Indian citizen.
