Year 2021 At a Glance with Covid 19 ‘s beginning in Nov 2019 , carried2020 and 2021 made life more miserable , and tough for the day today bread winners was not a palatable one.In the Global scenario many countries had more cases of Covid 19 positive , and few countries only handled carefully, I am proud to mention here my country India has tackled the ground reality ,by introducing few vaccines from Indian pioneer Pharmaceutical houses was laudable.Despite people having two jabs relapse was there .Apart from the pandemic India has to face tough time in the LoC with terror attacks ,and lost many brave jawans can not be forgotten.The Global economy has to reshape only with new innovative ideas after the heavy loss in all industries especially tourism and aviation industry.When every thing was set for this strategy from world over now the new threat Omicron entered was not anticipated one.New vaccine innovations and caps may help to a certain extent for the immunity and one has to follow the norms continuously.Now the threat is not only for Omicron but also for the old virus Covid19 surged in the global level.Apart from the global economy revival .people all over the globe should pray as per their faith to get rid of the present crisis as well the normalcy to comeback. wishing all our friends AVery Happy and Healthy New year and once again requesting all should pray with your own faith. with Warn Regards K.Ragavan. On seeing the scenario of both local and international of surging cases of the new variant, the Indian administration has decided this is the best safeguard. Last week the India approved vaccinating children between the ages of 15 and 18. Evidently, the government believes prevention is better than cure, a good motto as we enter the new year. Great late Director Sridhar’s experience.

The first time a comedy film broke all records : _A forward_ Today morning I got up with, "Enna parvai undhan parvai" song ringing in my ears. Today I would like to share a few snippets on the movie. Before Balachander - there was a C V Sridhar. A Very successful director - he turned Co-Producer as a Proxy for many people in the 1950s but never produced a single film on his own until 1961s Then Nilavu. Sridhar had two talents - he roped in big stars like Gemini or he made medium budget movies that would make big profits. His financiers were Velaiyyan Chettiar - a famous financier in Tamil Industry (The Jains of the 1990s - 2000s and the Madurai Anbus and Arul Naveens of 2010s) In 1963 - Sridhar decided to do a Comedy Film. No Problems. He had a script thanks to his close friend and buddy Gopu. He approached the Financiers and asked for a loan of Rs. 15 Lakhs The Financiers were hugely shocked!!!! Comedy Films were made in those days for around 6 Lakhs and to demand a 250% higher sum was ridiculous. Who were the stars? Two newcomers who have never acted - a Aspiring Medical Student Ravichandran from Malaya and a former Air Hostess Vasundara Devi (Who became Kanchana) and a near new face Rajashree and Nagesh who was famous only through one film until then. Why such a high budget? Sridhar wanted to focus on the American Formula for a Musical. Outdoor shootings, Outdoor Songs and best of all Eastman Color. The Financiers were in a huge fix. 15 Lakhs was a huge sum of money. Enough for 3 Comedies. And why make a Color film for a Comedy???? And newcomers!!! The Financiers suggested that Sridhar approach other actors but Sridhar refused (He did approach Krishna - Mahesh Babus father but Krishna turned the role down citing dubbing issues). Everyone told Sridhar - “Thambi - you will make a loss. 15 Lakhs is too much money”. Sridhar said - “I wont”. Finally the Financiers shrugged, prayed to Lord Muruga (Lord Kartik) and agreed to finance the film Problem after Problem:- * A Power Cut on the Day of Editing at Gemini Studios. The Technicians spent sleepless nights terrified that their entire work would get spoilt but Sridhar went to his club, had dinner and came home without a care in the world and decided to shoot some more scenes. * The Budget rose. Eastman Kodaks License fee rose in the middle and a further Rs. 2 Lakh was increased. Then some more money was blown and by the time the film was ready for release - the budget was Rs. 24 Lakhs - Equivalent to 4 Comedy Films of that time. * A Pongal release was out. Too many films slated for release. Sridhar was told - the movie would have to be released only in Late February to early March. Not a great time for release. Sridhar laughed and shrugged “My film will change that trend” - he said. * The Re-Recording was horrible and lip syncings were horrible - one night before the film was due to go to the Censor. MS Viswanathan and his boys worked 17 hours straight from 7 PM to 12 PM the next day with partial sleep and submitted their final version to the Censor. It worked like a Dream. Ten days before the release - the Territory rights were offered. Nobody offered money. Even the Distributors of Kalayana Parisu were reluctant to offer outright money and instead offered to Distribute the film on a 20% commission basis. Sridhar had to give them the deal. His Financiers were deeply worried. Sridhar owed Rs. 30 Lakhs including interest and the film had not sold any territories!!!! Sridhar smiled - “When the film is released - we will all reap rewards” On the night before release * The FInanciers could not sleep * Nagesh could not sleep. He was nervous * Gopu could not sleep * Ravichandran and Kanchana could not sleep. It was their first film * Even Muthuraman was tensed about the Business news and the Distribution news. Would he never have his own value and be a Supporting Actor for life???? * C V Sridhar Slept like a Baby Kathalikka Neramillai became one of the Biggest Blockbusters in the History of Comedy Cinema in Tamilnadu. The counters did not stop. Radio Ceylon ran the songs of Viswanathan - Ramamoorthy - a record 34 Weeks (Anubhavan Pudhumai) and 27 weeks (Viswanathan Velai Venum) and 21 Weeks (Malar Ondru Mugam). It was only in 1966 that Rajavin Parvai from Anbe Vaa ran for 38 weeks and broke the record of Anbubhavam Pudhumai. The Movie grossed Rs. 1.60 Crore - the First Tamil film to gross 1 Crore in the history of Tamil Cinema and only the Eleventh Film in the history of Tamil Cinema to Gross 1 Crore until that point. It was also the first film in Tamil History to gross 1 Crore which did not star MGR, Sivaji or Gemini Ganesan. Sridhars own share in the movie came to a whopping Rs. 59 Lakhs after having paid off his Financiers and everyone else!!!!! It began the Trend of Full Length Comedy Films without major actors in Tamil Cinema. *For Movie buffs*

Tribute to Producer,Actress,Creative Director Kutty Padmini 693. Today I remembered another interesting film personality who started as a child actor and became a popular film personality who created a big impact not only in films but also on the small screenIs none other than creative Director,Producer Kutty Padmini. She produced a big mega serial Ramanujar on her production house Vaishnavi Media Workswas laudable.The serial Ramanujar was portrayed about the SriVaishnava Acharya Sri Ramanujar and their sampradayam was amazing.I have been watching this serial and the message of this great story was very nice.The serial has taken nicely on the Acharya's period about 1000 years back and the conversation was lovely.The Characters acted by all the actors still in front of me ,and their way of expressions. I can not forget.The Characters playedRamanuja by Kousik,ThirukachiNambi by Director Dhanush,Others Tirukostiyur Nambi,Aalavandar,MaraneriNambi,GandhiMathi,Somayaju,Yadav Prakasar, brother of Ramanujar,Ramanujar's wife,Kuresan,his parents and all the remaining actors done their role very well.The way in which the dialogues was penned as per sri vaishnava sampradayam and the locations was fantastic.If i am right all the 433 episodes are very nice,impressive and depicted the important subject and principles of Ramanujar to take every one to Moksham get rid of this present Samsara sagara .Songs,music,settings,and Cinematography were nice.Today i want to tribute this talented Creative Director,ProducerKutty Padmini for this wonderful serial highlighted the Sri Vaishnava acharya and his principles.Different from the normal subjects,and timely introduced to the millions of Small screen fans.Ramanujar was welcomed by US and other countries also speaks about the delivery of the serial.Since this month is more auspicious one and the great goddess Sri Andal's thirty Pasurangal not only chanted by millions of devotees but also many upanyasams will be performed throughout the country as well out side.In Thiruppavai most of the Pasurams are connected with this great Acharya Ramanujar and his devotion.Before i conclude i am congratulating this talented Lady Kutty Padmini for bestowing Kutty Padmini T.V.Channel by YouTube Silver Button was a great news for millions of her viewers.Wishing her and all family Members AVery Happy And Healthy New Year as well many more achievements in the 2022 year.With Kind Regards,K.RagavanSee You Next Week,27-12-21. www.ragavan-creativity.blogspot.com write2ragavan.wordpress.com www.tumblr.com Commonman

Important issue.

This issue should be revived immediately.  Senior Citizens bank fixed deposit rates are not palatable for the past few years ,one has to agree.Senior citizens who are fully depending on their bank interest for the normal maintenance are not getting was sad.Most of the senior citizens retired from the private sector,after fulfilling the moral responsibilities viz,children education,daughter's marriage they will be having left out only meagre amount from their benefits.Today's inflation a couple should have minimum of thirty thousand ,per month to manage all expenses which medical is sizeable.Senior citizens may not have deposited huge amount after serving in private sector.For the deposit of Thirty lakhs they should get 30 ,000 per month to face the basic normal expenses.In the summary Senior citizens who are non pensioners and fully depending on the interest should be taken care.For the deposit of 30,lakhs they should get thirty thousand is my humble request.Senior citizens worked in the private sectors also contributed to the Country.I request the authorities concern to look in to this valid point to Senior Citizens.The present rate is not at all correlated to meet both the ends.Hope this will be addressed by the finance ministry.Senior citizens should get 12/ up to 30 lakhs is my request. Letter Published in The National UAE on 16Dec 21 Condolences for the lives lost in the Kashmir valley gunfire The National16 Dec 2021 I am writing to you with respect to Taniya Dutta’s article Three Indian police killed in Kashmir after militants spray bus with gunfire (December 14): the recent militant attack in the Kashmir valley was resonant of past violence and yet no less horrific. The attack took place despite the precautionary measures and safety equipment afforded by the Indian government to policemen and civilians. Such threats are devastating and highly unacceptable. In recent months, many policemen have lost their lives. I am confident the Indian government will take measures to prevent the likelihoods of such attacks in the future. Good Message.

Recent message made me more happy and fun. Yesterday, I booked a private taxi for airport. When I arrived at my destination, the driver gave me his business card for future bookings. *Dr. Ramanand Tripathi, PhD* Wow! I was surprised & quizzed him, “Why are you driving a taxi with such high qualification?” He replied, “Dr. is the short form of Driver.“ “Then what about your PhD?” “I am a Private-hired Driver” 🤪🤪🤪

இன்று நான் பாராட்ட போகின்ற மனிதர் இந்திய ,திரையுலகில் மிக பெரிய சாதனைசெய்தவர்,பல அரிய பட்டங்களை பெற்றவர்,மக்களின் மனதில் தன சிம்மக்குரலால் கர்ஜித்து ,நீங்காத இடம் பெற்றவர்.நடிப்பு உலகில் இமயம் போன்ற சாதனை புரிந்தவர்.நாடக துறை மூலம் ,திரையுலகில் காலடி வைத்து தன்னுடைய ,பல வேறு பட்ட ,பாத்திரங்கள் மூலமாக ,,இந்தியமண்ணிற்கு பெருமை தேடி தந்தவர். எந்த கதா பாத்திரமாக இருந்தாலும் அந்த பாத்திரத்தில் வாழ்ந்து காட்டியவர்,நவரச பாத்திரங்களில் தன நடிப்பு முத்திரையை பதித்தவர்,இவரைப்பற்றி எண்ணிலடங்கா ,கட்டுரைகளும்,விமர்சனங்களும் ,கடந்த இருபது ஆண்டுகளுக்கும் மேலாக,,வந்து மக்களின் மனதில் ,என்றும் நீங்கா இடம் பெற்றுள்ளது,இருந்தாலும் ,எனது திருப்திக்கு ,எனது ,பதிப்புகளில் பதிய ,இன்று என் மனம் உவகையில் ,பொங்க இன்று நான் ,இந்த மா பெரும் கலை மேதை மறைந்த நடிகர் சிம்மக்குரலோன் சிவாஜி கணேசன் அவர்களை பற்றி எனக்கு தெரிந்த ,விஷயங்களை பகிர்ந்து கொள்ள விரும்புகிறேன்.நடிப்பில் இவர் இமயம் ,உள்ளத்திலும் உயர்ந்தமனிதன்,,சகோதர பாசத்தில் பாசமலர்,மறைந்த முதல்வர் கலைஞரின் வசனங்களை ,கனல் பறக்க பேசி ,புதியசாதனை செய்தவர்,பராசக்தி,மனோகரா ,போன்ற படங்கள் இன்றும் மக்களிடை வரவேற்புப்பெற்றுள்ளது..அவர் நடித்த அணைத்து படங்களும் அருமை.என்னால் எல்லா படங்களையும் நினைவு கூற முடியவில்லை..இருப்பினும் சில படங்களை எண்ணிப்பார்க்கிறேன்..பாசமலர்,உயர்ந்தமனிதன்,வியட் ட்நாம்வீடு, வீரபாண்டிய கட்டபொம்மன்,,திருவிளையாடல்,பாவமன்னிப்பு,பதிபக்தி ,பலே பாண்டியா அன்னைஇல்லம் ,எங்கஊர் ,ராஜா,.விடிவெள்ளி,நெஞ்சிருக்கும் வரை,உத்தமபுத்திரன்,ராமன் எத்னைரமானடி,சவாலே சமாளி,வசந்தமாளிகை,புத்திப்பறவை,பார்மகளே பார், இருவருள்ளம்,தூக்குத்தூக்கி.தில்லானாமோகனாம்பாள் ,மற்றும் பலபடங்கள் நினைவிற்கு வரவில்லை.இவர் நடிக்காத பட ஸ்தாபனங்களே இல்லை என்றுசொல்லலாம்,ஏவிஎம்,ஜெமினி, முக்தா பிலிம்ஸ்,மற்றும் பல ஸ்தாபனங்களில் பங்கேற்றவர்.இனிமையாக பழகக்கூடியவர்,இன்றைய இளைய தலை முறைகளுக்கு வழிகாட்டியவர்,இயக்குனர்கல் அனைவர்க்கும் பிடித்த தலை சிறந்த நடிகர் ,இன்று நம்மிடை இல்லை.அவர் நடித்த படங்களும் ,அவரின் சிம்மக்குரலும் இன்றும் நம் காதுகளில் ரீங்காரம் இட்டுகொண்டுஇருக்கிறது என்பது மறுக்க முடியாத உண்மை.தந்தையைப்போல அவர் மகன்கள் ராம்குமார்,பிரபு,மற்றும் பேரன் விக்ரம் பிரபு அவர் பாதையை பின்பற்றி வெற்றிநடை போடுகிறார்கள் என்று சொன்னால் அது மிகை இல்லை.சமீபத்தில் முக்தா பிலிம்ஸ் இந்த கலைஞருக்கு தங்கள் 60 ஆண்டு விழாவில் ,இவரை கௌரவித்தது விழா நடத்தியது இவர் மேல் இருந்த நட்பு ,மரியாதையை ,எடுத்து காட்டுகிறது.ஒரு ஒப்பற்ற கலைஞன் சிம்மக்குரலோன் இன்று நம்மிடையில்லை.அவர் படங்களும் ,நடிப்பும் நம்மிடை இன்னும் இருக்கிறது ,தொடர்ந்து இருக்கும் என்று குறி ,எனக்கு தெரிந்த சிற்றறிவில் இதை இன்று பதிவு செய்துள்ளேன்.குறைகள் இருந்தால் பொருட்படுத்தவேண்டாம். கே.ராகவன். 13-12-21. see you next week www.ragavan-creativity.blogspot.com write2ragavan.wordpress.com www.tumblr.com commonman ,

Tribute to Medical Representative 690. Today I am going to pen another interesting personality who has created a big impact decades back ,between Pharmaceutical company and to the medical profession is none other than the Medical representative. He is the Ambassador between his company to the medical profession with his products , merits and demerits authentically to serve the suffering humanity. It was a memorable day on 3 December 21,all the retired medical representatives was gathered in a hotel in Chennai for dinner and gettogether. . A few of them if I am right nine people who are above seventy years was honoured out of 100 with wollen shawl was really amazing. The recoganition shows the unity among Medical representatives. The chairperson is my good old friend Swaminathan and colleague who has done along with 100 other retired colleagues made me more happy .Incidentally i have spent three decades in this sophisticated profession till 1993,made my identity as Pharmed Ragavan .Association and Alumni of various professions will bring closer to each one who lost contact for decades.I thank Swaminathan for sending me the details.Before i conclude ,probably in this 100 colleagues some of my old friends,whom i lost touch with for decades may remember me.Today i am very happy to tribute these Ambassadors between Pharmaceutical companies and medical profession. UAE one of the fast developing country celebrating it’s 50 th National day in Dec 2 was not only laudable gut also amazing. Over the five decades the country has seen the dramatic development in all areas and the initiative of peace , and accepting the migrants participation by the leaders was superb.
