Letter.

Tragic Incident Letter Published in Khaleejtimes,Uae.
10 June 2011

The article, ‘One killed as tuskers go berserk in Mysore’,(KT, June 9) was sad and painful to read. Normally dogs only stray in streets but in Mysore two elephants escaped the forest and created panic and havoc among the people in Mysore.
It was very unfortunate. After a long struggle the forest guards were able to arrest the elephants. But only after the elephant killed a 55-year old man called Renuka Prasad.
Though, the chief minister announced some compensation money to be paid to the victim’s family, the loss for the family cannot be compensated. I pray for the victim and the grieved family members.
