Salon gossip

I arrived a little late for the morning walk and a friend asked the reason. I replied I had to visit the salon. “That means you must have had a long gossip session,” my friend guessed. And he was right. There were a group of people at the parlour and the gossip topics ranged from films to sports personalities. Injuries, deaths, divorce  - everything was covered, whether true or not. If there is one place that can overtake social media on matters of dubious authenticity, it is the parlour.
