Imposition of Hindi can be useful in a Country as diverse as India
I write to you in reference to Samanth Subramanian's article imposing Hindi across India threatens to
undermine the linguistic diversity(september 29)the ,debate around wheather to make Hindi -the pre -eminent language in India or not  is a complex one. After all,the country is large and diverse with many different languages and dialects being spoken by it's more than one billion people. It also strikes at the heart of local and regional identities.
Yet ,i support the governing party's vision to eventually make Hindi a compulsory language for the simple fact that it will make communication between fellow country men and women much easier and,as a consequence of it,bring them  closer together. It will help address administrative hassles faced by governments both at  central and state levels and it will go a long way in bring peace and prosperity in the long term.
