K Ragavan writes with reference to ‘No change in day traffic at Bandipur’ that the Karnataka forest department is continuing with the night traffic ban in Bandipur tiger reserve and will have no restrictions in the day time. Still many are not in favour of night traffic ban, which is in place to ensure safety of animals and their rest, which will be disturbed with noise of traffic. However, this may not be entirely palatable to night travellers, but tigers’ safety is important
