Tribute to Actor,Choreographer and Director Lawrence Raghavendra. Today I remembered , another talented person from the SouthIndian film industry is none other than Actor,Choreographer and Director Lawrence Raghavendra. Lawrence has directed few films only ,in two languages Tamil and Telugu is worth to be mentioned here.i have seen only one film of this Director , Don in Telugu ,with Nagarjuna and Anushka..He has worked with top class actors in many films as Choreographer.Actors like Nagarjuna ,Prabhu deva and Kovai Sarala are important.His films portray entertainment with ,Music and good cinematography .He has acted few tamil ,and telugu films.In Don he acted very well,with Nagarjuna.He is one of the few choreographers respected in the Film industry.Apart from his professional talents,he is a wonderful Human being is to be remembered.His yeoman services for the Physically challenged orphan children without any publicity ,is highly appreciable. The new British Prime Minister's assurances to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in their first call are laudable. But Rishi Sunak has tough challenges in front of him domestically. He has to fix inflation, people's living standards, the education sector and make the streets safe. The state of the British economy is possibly his toughest task. He has to revive it and bring normality back to Britain, which is what will prove his mettle. This is not going to be easy. However, I believe he has it in him to deliver on this extensive mandate and make the British people happy in the coming weeks and months. And lastly, I would like to add that it is indeed a proud moment for 1.3 billion Indians that a person of Indian origin now occupies the prestigious office of 10 Downing Street. This should be recognised for the amazing feat it is. The success of countless Indians is already acknowledged in the global scenario, in all walks of life. Recently i saw the movie Kantara it was nicely taken and handled by Director Rishab Shetty.He played very well and South Canara Folk music was highly focussed along with the story.Kishore,Pramod Shetty,AchutKumar,SapthamiGowda,ManasiSudhir and all others acted very well.Good frame work by Aravind Kashyap and musicAjaneshLoganath also added attraction on the story line.Latest much talked movie Kantara. Tribute to Narasimhan Venkatesan.Popularly known as Ooran and Balaji. It was a shocking news on 5th morning from my wife that our beloved Balaji passed away. I could not believe this. Two months back I met him it was on 29th July at his house and cherished his hospitality along with his mother,wife and daughter.I know him for the past 49 years when I got married to his aunt. Very Smart boy, informative in all areas , particularly Bhagavath matters especially of his family God Kanakavalli Thayar and Veeraraghava perumal of Thiruvallur.Like his late dad he was more attached with this God, no one can deny from our family side.His hospitality and interacting with people was amazing. Forwarding Perumal pictures and functions was also laudable. From the past one year till Monday the 3rd of October, he was sending Thayar Kanakavalli and Perumal pictures. Made me happy and blessed when I open my WhatsApp message and good sign for me that day. Liked by one and all , family members and his friends. Great loss to us and he has gone to do Kainkaryam to his lord VeeraRaghava perumal and Kanakavalli Thayar.His smiling face will be cherished and remembered by all of us . Letter Published in The National UAE on 7oct 22 Better roads could prevent tragedies With regard to Taniya Dutta’s report At least 25 dead after bus falls into gorge in Indian Himalayas(October 4): The recent mishap in the Indian state of Uttarakhand was sad to read. The state of many of the country’s roads make this sort of tragedy more familiar than it should be. The terrain and the monsoon rains does not help keep the roads in good shape. It is a sad fact that reports of road deaths in the country are all too common. As the piece quantifies it, 150,000 people on average are killed each year in traffic accidents in India. This bus was carrying more than 40 passengers for a wedding and it fell into a gorge, killing 25. More people are missing. The roads in Uttrakhand can be narrow and steep and exceptionally dangerous so it may be one of the reasons for the mishap. The local governments must prioritise the redevelopment and maintenance of the roads to ensure the safety of all passengers. I pray for the departed passengers and the grieving family members.
