Ongoing crisis.

The ongoing crisis has taken a troubling turn in a different direction.

On February 28, the United States and Israel began attacks without prior notice, citing their own reasons. Even after nearly 35 days of continued conflict from both sides, no concrete resolution has emerged. This situation is both sad and deeply painful.

Having spent 16 years in the UAE, I have witnessed its rapid development and remarkable modern architecture. Seeing such progress now threatened or destroyed by tensions with neighboring regions is unacceptable from the UAE’s perspective.

Iran’s targeting of U.S. military bases located in Arab countries has further escalated the situation. However, the broader consequences and aftermath of these actions are not receiving the attention they deserve. The loss of lives and large-scale destruction are entirely unacceptable.

Millions of expatriates living in these regions now face uncertainty, with their safety and future hanging in the balance. At this critical juncture, both sides must set aside their egos and work toward a viable resolution. Doing so would not only save lives in the coming days but also prevent further material loss—losses that take decades to rebuild, as construction is far more difficult than destruction.

This war has not brought solutions; instead, it has intensified a global crisis, which is deeply concerning.

Will those involved recognize the reality of the situation and take steps to correct their actions?
