This week I heard a lot of commotion at around 1030pm near my house in Chennai. Worried, I opened the door and saw a couple of people bursting firecrackers.
It was then that I realised they were celebrating India’s cricket match victory against Pakistan. “This is a victory of the sportive spirit of both the teams and diplomacy,” I told the crowd. I was happy when they nodded in agreement.
