Tribute to Writers Shuba 253.
Today, I remembered another interesting duo who have created a significant impact both in short stories and Tamil film stories: none other than Suresh and Balakrishnan. While studying in college, both of them collaborated and started writing short stories and novels under the pen name Shuba, which was well received by thousands of readers. Their stories and novels were published in many leading journals.
They also have their own publishing house, Thanga Thamarai Publications. The popular characters Narendran and Vyjayanthi, featured in their detective stories, not only showcased great imagination but also became a huge hit with readers. This duo has contributed over 400 short stories and novels, which is noteworthy.
They are also well-known in Tamil cinema for their powerful stories and dialogues. This duo was associated with the popular director and cinematographer K.V. Anand's films, which I have seen, including KO, Kaana Kandean, Maatran, Velayutham, and Ayan. These films were remarkable, showcasing their sophisticated storylines and powerful dialogues.
This duo is one of the few gifted, talented writers who have excelled in both novels and Tamil films. If there are any mistakes in this column, kindly ignore them. What little I know about this duo, I have shared. Today, I am very happy to pay tribute to this talented duo.
