Today i remembered another interesting film personality from Tamil film industry is none other than Writer Director A.L.Vijay.Started his professin  in Advertisement film making later joined with Popular Director Priya Darshan as assistant director.Later he has become an Independent Director and the first film was Keeridam.In his short  span of 8Years film career he has worked with all top class actors Viz,Ajith Kumar, Vijay,Vikram,Arya,Vikram Prabhu,Vivek,Anushika and many others.Even though he has few handfu lof films all are remarkable.Good Screen play,Dialoques and Beautiful Cinematography will be more visible in his films.Thiru,Nirav Shah and Arvind Krishna ,are done    Cinematography  for his movies.I have seen few films of this Director.Those movies are Keeridam,

MadarasaPattinam,Thalaiva,Thaandavam,Saivam,Ithu Enna Maa yam and Deiva ThiruMagal.He was bestowed few awards  for his earlier advertisement film,and film Deiva ThiruMagal is worth to be mentioned here.Madarasapattinam he brought back the old City Chennai  with tram and other areas which  i  can not for get.Today i am happy to tribute this talented Up coming Director.

New language

Learning a new language is an important part of settling into a new city. A few years back I moved from my city to another, and I was not well versed in the local language. While staying at a lodge, I realised its importance. On the day I arrived at the lodge after resting for some time I needed a dose of tea to refresh myself.

I looked for someone around and found the staff there, but alas I tried hard to explain to him my request. I ended up going to the manager and expressed my request for a delicious cup of tea. 

In that moment I realised if I needed to thrive in that city, I needed to learn the local language. I began on a journey to understand, learn and speak the language. I saw movies based purely in the language, talking with as many people to pratise it. 

I believe that as you learn a local language, you learn more about the city and also its culture. I still think of my encounter with the hotel staff wherein I tried to explain in English and he kept replying in the local language.

Ram i will be there in 10mts.

Ram.I will  come down in  

Kathambari.O.K.I asked Prasanna to join with us.He told he will come straight to Ravi's house for the Pooja.

Ram.Fine.

Kathambari.Me and Mum will be there  shortly

Ram was very happy  when Kathambari told her mum also  coming 

After  few  minutes Ram came down by that time Kathambari entered in her Sunny car.

Kathambari.Good after noon Ram.Come front.

Vasanthy.Hello

Ram.How are you.

Vasanthy.I am fine.

While going  Kathambari was telling

RamPrasanna has sent the Visas to India.Mum arranged for the accomodation and Venusfor Catering.

Vasanthy.After seeing the rains in Chennai i am worried.Yesterday Fujairah had good rains which was not expected now.

Ram.Before marriage we are attending the Satyanarayana Pooja is a good sign.

Today i remembered another interesting film personalities from  Bollywood film industry who has worked together for more than three decades as cinematographers  is none other than Rajan Kinagi and Harish Joshi.They worked with all top class actors of Yesteryears  viz  Shashi Kapoor,Tanuja and many others. Popular directors like David Dhawan ,Ravi Tandon and others. They have  given few remarkable films in their career.Good frame work of Indoor and out door shots will be  very visible .
I have seen few of their movies and those movies are, Ek Main Aur EkTu,Khatharnaak,Raja Babu,Mohabbat,Mela,Deewana Mastana,few i could n't remember.Their Combination was very nice and yielded good results..Today i am happy to tribute this Cinematographers who worked to gether
and gave us memorable movies with their out standing work.

Unforgettable Jaffrey

I was watching the news on television about the demise of Indian-born British actor Saeed Jaffrey. Incidentally, that same evening one of my friends had arranged to watch the film Gandhi with other acquaintances at his home. When I informed him about the actor’s demise, he was shocked. 

As per the plan we all assembled at my friend’s residence and discussed the actor’s fruitful career both in theatre and films. The versatile actor had performed a brilliant role as Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in the film Gandhi. His performances were super in films like Shatranj ke Khiladi and Khudgarz.

We could hardly watch the film as most of our discussion was focused on the unforgettable Jaffrey.

Mysore was raining heavily.Raj was busy with talking to his friend over phone.Another few days the rain will continue was the  announcement from met department.Raj's wife Deepa  brought tea for him.Raj finished his phone conversation and took the tea.
Deepa. Today morning Prasanna's mom called ,but you are not there.She  asked to call herin the evening
Raj was about to call her ,by that time Some car came.He saw Prasanna's mother and her relative and friend of Ram Anandarao coming in side.
Anandarao.How are you Raj
Raj.I am fine,Please come .How are you Madam
Prasanna's Mother.I am fine
Deepa..Aunty ,come..Your son 's marriage is coming .\we are all very happy.
Mother.For that i have come to invite you all.You all have to come to  Dubai for the wedding
Deepa. .Thank you aunty.My daughter has some exam in the college.Other wise i wanted to come attend and see Dubai
Raj.Yes madam,because of that she could n't come.Today i received all our visas from Prasanna.
Mother.I see,
Raj.For you,me,Murthy ,his MD,   i received .Ananda rao has got his visa one month back from his son.He is also coming with us on   7Nov.
Mother.How will be Dubai.Any temple is there
Raj.Yes Madam.Krishna temple is there.North Indian people is running that.

Today i am going to pen another interesting filmpersonality from the Indian film Industry is none other than Late actor Saeed Jaffrey.In his five and half decades filmcareer he has established his name not only in india but also abroad is worth to be mentioned here.Started his career in theatre  and later came to film industry and earned a very good name. He won many awards and achievement .I have seen few remarkable movies of this Legend.Those movies are,Gandhi,Shatranj ke Khilari,Henna,Masoom,Khudgarz,Ram teri Ganga Maili,Chasme Budoor,RamLakhan,Dil,Ajooba,Mandhi,Saagar,Trimurthi,Achank,and some i could n't recollect.Film world lost a Wonderful Versatile,and Sophisticated actor.The 86 year old actor was liked by the film fraternity both from India and UK. Today i tribute this Legend who passed two days ago when i am writing this Column He made a very good name both in theatre and film world..I Pray for this departed Legend and the greived family members.

I think the main factor that contributed to the defeat of prime minister Narendra Modi’s BJP was the party’s divisive politics as well as its overconfidence. The party must analyse the mistakes it has made and quickly rectify them. Not doing so will prove to be fatal, and the leaders know it well. They cannot take the electorate for granted.

Happy moments

I recently received a happy news that my friend had been blessed with a grandson. I was over the moon for my friend on this beautiful milestone in his life.

My own grandson brings immense joy to me and I believe it is one of the most beautiful feelings in the world. 

Incidentally, the news came when I was explaining the joy of being a grandfather to my neighbour. It’s these little moments that make our lives worthwhile. 

Like when a new baby is born into our lives or when we get married or when we get our first salary. 

These tiny moments are the greatest ones that we continue to cherish throughout.

It was a dramatic outcome during the Bihar results. The BJP should analyse this defeat for the reasons it occurred and they should have a good strategy for the future elections in other states. The main attributing reasons for this was the unwanted comments from their leaders. Recent intolerance debates and, above all, over confidence. Now they should plan and work for the future elections. Over confidence is dangerous. Will Modi and Shah take up this important call?

Kathambari.Let s have lunch first.
All went to Dining table .Vasanthy was serving the items.
After the  delicious lunch all came to the hall.
Vasanthy was started the conversation. I welcome  you all for the marriage discussion.I have fixed the marriage on Nov 8 in Dubai Indian association auditorium.The hall was available only on that date and afterwards two months full.I do n't want to post pone this and booked on 8.Luckily Shankar Mahadevan  was also free on that day for the Music programme..Regarding the Visitors  Prasanna  has already applied  for the visas and expected in a day  or two.Still we have one week left.Regarding the Caterer Vens Restaurant will take care of the entire day's requirements for the guests food and tiffin..I expect minimum 300 people on that day including Prasanna 's Mother and other friends.Any question you would like to ask Prasanna.
Prasanna.Where will they stay.
Vasanthy.i arranged  for four days stay in   Holiday inn close to our Marriage auditorium.

Tamil film industry has talented Directors from the begining and now it is growing is not a exaggerated one.Today i am happy to tribute this talented Director  for his good directorial touch in all his films.

Coffee for commentary Every evening, I have a chat with my building friends on various topics. The other day a friend asked me whether any of us remembered the name of any cricket commentator five decades ago.

That was an era when television had not been introduced in India. Commentary was a great attraction on radio. Among the famous cricket commentators, I used to admire two for their great narration, tinged with humour - Ananda Rao and Chakrapani.

I imitated their narration much to the amusement of my friends, who were so impressed that they ordered special coffee for me.

This is the most recent tragic air accident and the causes of this accident haven’t been ruled out. The real truth of this incident should be investigated. I pray for the victims and the grieving family members.

Wednesday Ram was busy in his routine.That day Mr Lizioli came from Italy.Ram Atkinson,Prasanna ,and Lizioli had long discussions on their future strategies.After noon they went for lunch.While taking the lunch Lizioli received a call from his friend.
Friend.I am sorry to pass this message to you ,our friend Mastroni  died in the recent accident of the Russian plane near Egypt.
Lizioli.Oh my god.Young man gone to see the places.Sorry to hear this.Thank you for your call.
After that he was feeling restless.
Ram. ,your friend passed in the recent tragedy.Sorry
Lizioli.He is my relative also.Running an advertising company in Italy.
Ram,Atkinson,Prasanna expressed their feelings to Lizioli.
Lizioli.What  to do.No one escape from the fate.
After finishing the lunch Ram droped him in Dubai Sheraton.
Atkinson and Ram came back to office.
Kathambari came to Ram's cabin.
Ram, i came to know from Prasanna one of Lizioli's friend died in the Russian plane carsh.I felt
Ram.I also felt very bad.He is young and related to him.He was upset ,We droped him in his hotel came back.
Kathambari.This was another big tragedy in the recent months.
Ram.Even though authorities say  there is criminal act i have my doubts
Kathambari.You are right.I came to inquire for this.We will meet tomorrow in my house.
Ram.Yes,We will meet.Tcare
Kathambari.You too,bye now.
After that Ram was busy in preparing that accident for the night news.
Ram left office at 5-30.reached his home at 7PM. due to heavy traffic.

I found the opinion piece about German Chancellor Angela Merkel to be an interesting read (‘Is it the end of the Merkel era?’, Gulf News, October 28). One has to applaud her three consecutive victories of Merkel and her popularity among the people. The recent refugee crisis that has hit Germany may affect her image among some, but I don’t see her overall popularity being tarnished. The author has nicely analysed her reputation in her party. In politics no one can predict the future of an individual. Let us wait and see whether Merkel’s days are numbered or not. Overall, I think the author has nicely analysed the present German political climate.
