Bihar polls a lesson for ModiI refer to the news report Modi concedes defeat in key election in Bihar (November 9). I think the main factor that contributed to the defeat of prime minister Narendra Modi’s BJP was the party’s divisive politics as well as its overconfidence. The party must analyse the mistakes it has made and quickly rectify them. Not doing so will prove to be fatal, and the leaders know it well. They cannot take the electorate for granted.
