Another friend who was listening to our conversation rushed to the shop. He was impressed too and bought the blanket, but there was no discount. When the buyer argued about sale, the shopkeeper pointed his finger at a board, which read: “Sale, until stocks last.”
The shopkeeper said those available were new stocks. My friend had to buy grudgingly as he had gone all the way.

For the past few days, my city, Bengaluru, has remained cool and windy. A friend suggested that some new, colourful blankets had arrived in one of the leading stores. Adding to the attraction was a “tempting promotion offer” till January. He had bought one and was satisfied.Another friend who was listening to our conversation rushed to the shop.
