Disgraceful act

It was painful to read about the Indian doctor who drugged his patient and raped her in the clinic (Indian doctor drugs patient, rapes her in clinic, KT, Oct 30). Doctors take the Hippocratic oath to serve the humanity with care and alleviate the sufferings. This doctor’s behaviour is appalling and he is a disgrace to the medical profession. He should not be allowed to practice and his licence should be revoked. Will the medical council act?
