In his elaborate speech in the World Economic Forum (WEF) Indian Prime Minister who was the first Prime Minister, to have attended the meeting after two decades (“Modi meets CEOs at WEF, IMF reaffirms India’s growth story”, Gulf News, January 24, mentioned his concerns about globalisation. Most of the countries including the United Nations (UN) are showing interest toward globalisation. Modi quoted the late father of the Indian nation, Mahatma Gandhi, welcoming various cultures and traditions to India. Today, the entire globe is facing terror and global warming. This can be tackled only with globalisation and help from others. Will Modi’s speech have any impact? We have to wait and see?
