I too appreciate the progress made by the UAE in various spheres, but I am not too sure that the priorties accorded are in their right order.
Population is an important aspect in the growth of the region and the growing population of wage earners has contributed to growth of goods and services offered and high GDP growth.
Since majority of the population are foreign labourers earning low wages the need for labour reforms to maintain sustained growth cannot be overemphasised. It has to be addressed on a war footing. This will prevent the labour from moving to greener pastures.
