Old habits

die hard

After settling down in my Indian home town, I am amazed to note the influence of the UAE print media. I received a call from my friend mentioning that a journalist wanted to talk to me.

"Regarding what? I asked.

"You have been contributing your views in the UAE media. My friend wants to be acquainted with you."

I was remembering a proverb "Old habits die hard." My habit of contributing letters and articles will also continue.

Telecom Minister's charges.

Recently i read in one Leading Indian Newspaper mentioning Telecom Minister should be sacked was meaningful and thought provoking.Ministers should know their responsibilities and limitations.Violating the Position's code and Power is a Criminal act.After the CBI ,investigation why Govt.is not taking appropriate action.Will the Present UPA Got.bring Justice to the accused is to be wait and see. In Politics any thing may happen at any time.People with Power and responsibility should act diplomatically.

Very nice and Meaning ful article.Michael Moore is one of the Few Film personalities ,boldly express his views against the Previous Bush administration.Ihave seen two of his earlier films,which bold ly criticise the old administration against iraq policy and medical insurance.Journalism should be neutral and i appreciatr your issue.

This is veryunfortunate.Avast country with various task forces could n’t control maosits .On the other hand they are dictating terms to the Govt.People are the sufferer.Home Ministry should speed up this important issue.

Today iam Going to Pen an another Film Personality ,Writer ,producer and Director is none other then Rajkumar santhoshi.Known for his realistic approch in Original script and screen play this Stalwart has Many Hit movies to his credit..Good story with powerful dialoques and cinemotography is more visible in his films.He had a team of talented technicians in his unit.Ihave seen many movies of this doyen.Those are Memorable,Andazapanaapna,Ghayal,Damini,China gate,Ghatak,Pukarand Khaki,Amitab bachan,Anilkapoor,Aa mir khan,Ajay devgan,Akshay kumar,salmankhan and Urmila matongar acted in this doyen's films.The Dance song of China gate of urmila matongar has created a big sensational in those days.Inspite of his excellent movies he was not recommended for film awards is really a pity.Khaki made a new era in bolly wood,Aishwaryarai's different role from the normal heroine was a turnig point.His much awaited filmKanwar pal sing with Sanjay dutt is going to create one more mile stone.

I just watched the program. From the beginning of the program I was waiting for you to appear. The channel started with other stories and I was of doubt if I had tried to watch the program on the wrong day. However as they say the best things comes last - so was your appearance. When you walked in through the door I told my wife that the HANDSOME man walking in is Raghavan - since she has not met you. The program was good and rightly focused on you and your activities and we could also see you.

Hope you are keeping fine and slowly trying to settle down and merge with the locals. Do keep in touch and keep us advised of your experience in changing from an NRI to the local status - the good and the bad experiences - so that it will be useful to us when we eventually have to do the same - probably soon.

Tribute to Director Rajender singh Bedi.

Today i am going to pen an another interesting personality who has created a very good impact through his powerful screen play,dialoques and Direction is none other then Rajindersingh bedi.His memorable script writing and dialoques still i remember,Anupama,Satyakham,Abhmaan and Madhumati.As a Director he has contributed few films ,which was sensational and applauded by audiences.Among them i remember Dastak and Phagun.Stalwarts Sanjeevkumar,Dharmendra ,Vijay arora Rehna sultan,Waheeda rehman and Jaya Bachhan played very well in this films.Melodious Music contributed by Madan Mohan is worth to be mentioned here.He was one of the few Script writers and Directors in those days made a wonderful name in Bolly wood is not a exagerated one.Today i am happy to tribute this stalwart.Even though he
departed he has given his son Narender bedi to the screen.

Depth of

friendship

However careful one may be, at times we tend to make mistakes.

One such unforgettable incident happened to me on my departure day from the great country, UAE. I had booked my ticket to India on Oct.14, at 2-45. I mistook it as 2.45pm. When I checked in, I was shocked to hear from the airline staff that my flight had left. I felt bad. The mistake was mine. In spite of the airline confirmation on SMS, I did not check up properly.

Such incidents have happened to my friends also. I always tell my friends to check the day and time. Immediately after hearing my predicament, one friend joked: "Probably, the UAE does not want you to leave early as you love it so much."

I took the night flight on the same day and reached my home country. Apart from staying for 16 years in the country, this incident made me realise the depth of true friendship.

Many offered to bring lunch and dinner as I stayed at the airport for more then nine hours.

Today i am going to Pen an another Family concept writer , director is none other then Basuchatterjee.Created a Big hit in those days withnew actors is not a exagerated one.Man known for his family drama and good screen play dialoques.He had directed and contributed screen play dialoques for many pictures.Among many of his pictures still i remember Chitchor,Rajani gandha,chotisibaatand swami.Sex ,violence and thrills are not participating in his movies.Amolpalekar and Vidyasinha made their debut in this doyen's pictures.Clean cinemotography and good songs are more visible in his movies.He has bagged awards for Chotisibaa tand Best Director award for Swami is important.Apart from Hindi films Few T.V.Serials and Bengali films to his credit.Today i am Happy to tribute this wonderful artistic director.

As I Will be leaving thiswonderful country soon,a couple of my friends and well wishers hosted lunch parties.The hospitality extended by them is touching.
Afew days ago, Iwanted to buy some items at a mall.After finishing my purchases ,I noticed a lengthy queue at the cash counter.Idecided to sit in a corner till the queue dispersed.Nextto me, a child was crying and the mother was saking the baby to stop crying or she will call the police.
The child was scared since Iwas sitting next to them.This calling police concept Ihave seen in my country also.
Iam unable to understand wheather the word police has any miracle to stop the baby from crying.
The same day Ivisited a friend's place ,there was also a similar incident.My friend's wife was telling her child,If you don't eat, this policeuncle will take you."

Emotional
attachment
All said and done moving away from one's close kith and kin is painful.
Recently my eldest son-in law relocated to the Far East from the UAE.My grand sonwho was with me for more then 11,years felt emotionalabout leaving me.I al so had a similar feeling.
Incidently,my son in-law is pursuinghis career and I amreturning to India from the wonderful UAE for retirement.
What facinated me was my grand son's memory.When he was a child Ihad taken himto the museum and Sharjah Corniche.Apart from that he remembered and found a CD where i was iooking out for my friend.When he was going to the air port,Iwas thinking one should not have too much attachment because it was very difficult to control the emotions.
