Serial impact
Recently, a friend invited me home for tea. I reached on the said day and rang the bell. His little son opened the door.
“Come in, sir, daddy is watching TV,” he said.
I went inside and informed my friend that his son was very courteous.
My friend ‘s reply stunned me.
“Did he really welcome you politely? That means he must have seen a good serial on TV. He is an addict of TV serials and will imitate those characters.
Probably, the serial before you came was a good one where children are told to respect elders.”
Such is the impact of TV serials on the society.
Hope the producers of serials realise how much positive impact or damage they can cause to the society.
