Golden memories
Last week, a Web friend suggested that I watch a Tamil serial on television in which he was playing a role. When I asked about the serial name, he replied “Thangam” (Gold).
“I can watch your ‘Thangam.’ But I cannot afford to buy,” I said. Today, gold prices have shot up beyond imagination. When I was in Dubai just four years ago, gold prices were reasonable and any one could afford to buy. Times have changed.
The serial brought back my memories about the golden land of Dubai.
