Letter Published in BM on 15Nov 19Education is key to bridge all gaps
K Ragavan writes, the Kerala student Al Ameen Anzari who joined BBA first year was brutally ragged by 15students and took the bullies extorted Rs 3,000 for him. Is this the cost of education? This is strictly unacceptable and the education authorities should look into the matter and bring in strict measures to ensure such incidents do not reoccur. The case of seniors bullying juniors is not new and it’s a shame that we still have not found a solution to the menace of society. Education is key to bridge the differences between everyone in society and the country to should ensure that we are better enlightened than the previous generation. I fear that young men and women who leave home and suffer such humiliation will now have to live a life that could be of dejection and lack of confidence. Instead of creating a safe environment, the education institutes are an environment of toxicity and cause of trauma for many young minds
