K Ragavan writes BM’s cover story on the controversial swami Nityananda was thought provoking (The impregnable swami). Today many fake swamis are around and Nityananda is among them. Surprisingly no one knows what charm he has for his female devotees. A few years back TV and film actress Ranjitha’s complaint that she was raped by the swamy. And now his Ahmedabad ashram has also been raided. His departure from the country is the latest surprise. Such swamis are dangerous to the society for their behavior with devotees especially women. He should be brought back to India and booked for his immoral and other activities
