The editorial Dubai Metro on the right track (September 9) rightly pointed out that the rail system has proven the sceptics wrong.
When the train system was introduced, many doubted whether it would make any real difference to people’s lives. Those doubts were quickly cleared. Today, thousands of people travel by Dubai Metro every day, because it’s more convenient and cost-effective for them than driving cars.
