Evening suddenly rain started in Dubai.This is the first time  Suddenly rain   was pouring.Morning there was no indication and no weather forecast was also announced.Ram was about to start to his home but because of heavy rains came back to his Cabin.By that time Kathambari also came to Ram's cabin.
Ram i never expected this much rain today.Good rain
Ram.No body expected this including the Dubai ruler.
Kathambari.Yes,it was a pleasant surprise for all of us.I am enjoying.
By that time Kathambari's phone was ringing.Vasanthy was   on the other side
Kathambari,here heavy rain in your office side also heavy rain
Kathambari.Yes Mummy.When i started rain started .i am talking with Ram
Vasanthy.Convey my regards to him. Come after the rain over.
Kathambari.Sure.My mummy conveyed her regards to you.
Ram.Thank you.You would like to have tea.
Kathambari.Yes, I will bring from the Pantry room.
Ram. I Thought i can call siva.
Kathambari.He has gone  early today.I will bring.
After few minitues Kathambari brought the tea along with Salt biscuits.
Ram.This is ideal combination.Thank you.
Kathambari.I like to take Monoco salt biscuits along with tea.Today i feel like having salt biscuits.
Ram.Good,I also like this combination.
After half an hour rain was stopped.
Kathambari.I will drop you
Ram.I was waiting for Ali.
Kathambari.He has gone to some place.No problem i will take you.
Ram.Fine.Shall we go.
While going Ram was  telling her how he met her and came to Dubai Ram..  this was  like a dream.
Kathambari.Yes.How i met you in Mysore and how you joined us all like a dream.Time is going very fast .
Ram.I completed three years in this Beautiful Country.
Kathambari.Yes,This is really beautiful

This tragic incident of the farmer that committed suicide, took place at the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) rally in Delhi, India (‘Rajasthan farmer commits suicide at Kejriwal rally’, Gulf News, April 23). Parties are fighting against the land bill and creating such agitation did not help save this innocent farmer from his suffering. Whatever be the compensation, his life has ended. Watching this tragic incident were Delhi’s chief minister and the police, which I find unacceptable. A probe should be conducted and the truth should be voiced. The value of a human life should be respected. Blaming each other is India’s political gimmick.

Today i am going to pen another  film personality from Bolly wood is none other than Cinemato grapher  Sachin Kumar Krishnan.In his short span of film career he has worked with all Top class directors like Prakash Jha,Sudhir Mishra and Sanjay Gupta is worth to be mentioned here.Today's all the leading actors like Amitabh Bachchan,Ajay Devgan,Arjun Rampal,Kareena Kapoor,Manoj Bajpai  and many others.His frame work of both Indoor as well out door is nice.He was associated with Veteran Director Prakash Jha for few films viz,Satya Graha( if i am right), and Rajneeti.His  work in Satya gragha and Rajneeti  was very nice.I have seen few films of this Cinematographer.Those films are,Satyagragha,,Rajneeti,Mai and Dus kahaniyan..Film industry is the only industry can accomodate lot of talented technicians.Today i am very happy to tribute this talented upcoming Cinematographer.

Fourth century

It would be hard for anyone in India or the UAE not to notice the IPL fever. After all a couple of their matches from last season were played in stadiums in Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Dubai. I hear of people sleeping late watching the favourite teams battle it out at the cricket pitch. I particularly like watching the high sixes on TV.

It got me thinking about the fact that I recently completed my fourth century writing Short Takes. It is quite remarkable that I am a part of the Short Take column for over seven and half years. And I hope to continue.

The Gulf News story about how India’s powerful farming lobby turned on Prime Minister Narendra Modi was an interesting read (‘India’s farming lobby turns on Modi’, Gulf News, April 19). The ongoing land bill amendment in the Indian Parliament and all the opposition parties’ agitation against this bill is continuing. In a recent development, one farmer who voted for Modi was talking about how neither the rains favoured them, nor Modi ‘s bill. Even though the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government expressed its favour for the bill and talked about how the country will develop in industrial growth and infrastructure in rural areas, it was not convincing enough for the farmers. The NDA is caught in a tricky situation: will the Modi government modify the amendment, which will be a benefit for both farmers and the government’s policies? We will have to wait and see.

For the past few days Mysore was very pleasant. The reason was good rains.Murthy was busy in his office with his MD  Srivatsava  preparing  for  Dubai tour
M.D.  Mr Murthy  Yesterday i received a call from Raj asking me  wheather i can go to tomorrow's cricket match in B angalore.
Murthy.Oh Nice.Tomorrow RCB vs Mumbai Indians.YOu can go with him .
M.D. I love to go.But tomorrow some guests are coming .Why do n't you go.
Murthy.I like to go.But i am travelling day after tomorrow.
M.D.I have for gotten.I will ask my friend to go along with Raj.
Murthy.That is nice.
M.D. Convey my regards to Ram ,Atkinson and Kathambari.
Murthy.Certainly.

Murthy.Fine.
After he left Murthy was busy in his work preparing Strategies for the new product launch.

Prasanna.Me too,how was your work.

Prasanna.I have been watching regularly Rajasthan Royals are playing very well.

Today i am going to pen another interesting film personality from theTamil film industry is none other than Director Mithran Jawahar.In his seven years  film career he has given memorable films. Even though  his movies are Telugu remake all are very good.Today's all top class actors viz,Dhanush,Nayantara, Late Raghuvaran,  BhagyaRaj, Vivek and many others acted in his movies.His Film  Uthama Puthiran earned a good name for this Director.Vivek and Dhanush's superb action supported by Bhagyaraj  and   ,Ashis Vidyarthi and others made a big hit for this film.I have seen few films of this Director.Those movies are  Yaaradi Nee Mohini,Kutty and ,Uthama Puthiran,All his films are filled with good screen play,Dialoques,and Good Cinematography both indoor and out door.Balasubramaniyem  is the Cinematographer for Uthamaputhiran andKutt is worth to be mentioned here..Today i am happy to tribute this talented Up coming Director.

Scar of a lifetime

I recently read the sad news about the demise of famous cricket player Riche Benaud and I was reminded of the time when I was in school and he had come to play in India.

I admired him for his sophistication and style. A group of my school friends and I decided to go see him at the airport while he was playing in Chennai. 

It was in the evening around seven o’ clock and we were crossing the railway tracks. It was a shortcut to the airport. I was running behind my friends and due to poor lighting, I fell down and hurt myself badly.

However, we did not give up. We reached the airport and met Riche Benaud. On our way back, my friends noticed that my left hand was still bleeding. 

I went to our doctor for treatment and within a few days the wound healed. But the scar remains and to this very day. Each time I see it, I am reminded of the famous leg spinner and the day I saw him.

The Gulf News story says West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banarjee described Narendra Modi as ‘brainless’ (‘Mamata describes Modi as ‘brainless’, Gulf News, April 11). The comment made by the chief minister was unwarranted and she should not have used such undignified words for the country’s prime minister. She has so many defects and shortcomings from her governance that she is not fit to make any comments like this. It is a sad state of affairs.

Ram.How are you Vasanthy.Today i did n't expect your call.But i am happy  to hear your Beautiful voice.
Vasanthy.Thank you.Why i called you was to find out a good place for Kathambari's marriage.First i thought of Celebrating in Mysore but later i changed my mind to Dubai.
Ram.Why.
Vasanthy.The reason  is Kathambari has plenty of friends here and we need not  go to Mysore and arrange.
Ram.Good idea.
Vasanthy.Prasanna's mother and others i will arrange to attend the marriage.
Ram.Good idea.They all can see Dubai.
Vasanthy.I thought this will be a better idea.
Ram.You are not only Beautiful but your idea's also beautiful.
Vasanthy.All because of your association.What are you doing now.
Ram.Talking with my beautiful lady.
Vasanthy.Yesterday in the tamil channel i was watching Sumai thangi and remembered our  old days.
Ram.I can not for get on that day.You are wearing beautiful Blue saree.
Vasanthy.You still remember that.You were wearing Cream colur shirt .
Ram.You are also remembering.After this marriage we have to join.
Ram.Nice.Waiting for that day
Vasanthy.I have expressed every thing  like a story in my letter to you.

Vasanthy.O.k.Take care ,I will call you later.
After that Ram started thinking what she has written in that letter. Because in Cyprus his room boy by oversight took his coat along with that letter and spoiled.He does not want to tell his Beautiful Vasanthy about the letter he lost.At the same he was curious about the content of the letter.
Will his anxious to know the letter Content wheather  he will succeed or not  we can see in the coming days.

Your Power &Politics (TNIE April 12) by Prabhu Chawla made for a meaningful and good read.As he has rightly mentioned,today the print and electronic media are dominated by the educated class.Union Minister Gen (retd)V.K.Singh's comments about the media is laudable. His use of the word ,Preetitute 'to mock and insult the media was uncalled for.The author also pointed out that  the media must report  in a more neutral and unbiased manner,and both politicians and media should work together for a healthier  relationship.

Today i am going to pen  another interesting film personality from the Tamil film industry is none other than Writer, Producer, Director late P.Kalaimani.He   was associated   with Director K.Bharathi Raja for many films  gave remarkable  screen play and  Dialoques ,16Vayathinile, Mann Vasanai Muthal Vasantham  and Ingeyum Oru Gangai  and many more.16 Vayathinile gave him a good name for his  powerful  dialoque .He has worked with all top class actors and directors.In his three decades career he has  Contributed more than 100films with his krisp,meaningful dialoques is worth to be mention here.He has also Contributed two films Therkathi Kallan,and Manitha Jathi  as Director.In his Everest films banner he has produced lot of films.He is one of the Popular Writers three decades back and respected by the film fraternity.I have seen few films of this Writer.Those films are,16Vayathinile,Kaadhal Oviyam,Mann Vasanai,Gopurangal Saivathillai,Pillai Nila,Muthal Vasantham,Ingeyum Oru Gangai,Sirai Paravai,Mallu VetiMinor,Chinna Mapilai,KanMani , Coolie No1, few films i could n't remember. His last  film Kuruvi was  created a big impact  acted by Vijay,Vivek,Suman,Trisha and Late Manivannan . Priceless evening

A few days ago, I was enjoying a game of carrom at the local seniors club, when my grandson called me to return home immediately. I inquired as to why he was asking me to rush home so quickly. He only said, “It’s suspense.” 

I rushed over home and my grandson informed me that we were going to my favourite restaurant as he had just finished his exams. To celebrate, he decided we should all go to my favourite restaurant. 

The reason that I loved that particular dinner evening, was not just the yummy food but also for the love that my grandson had showered me with. Although those delicacies were precious, my grandchild’s love is priceless.

Seeing the recent news about the missing Indian mountaineer found dead was sad to read (‘Missing Indian mountaineer found dead’, Gulf News, April 5). The 40-year-old acclaimed award winning mountaineer was found dead after a few days. Despite his friends and colleagues’ efforts, they were unable to rescue him. Only a few people have achieved this fame in mountaineering. I pray for the departed soul and the grieving family members.

 In this world every individual wants to  fulfill  their  dreams, and desire .Most of them are selfish .But Ram is entirely different from others.From his child hood his  Mother taught him broad thinking and helping nature to  others.Ram lost his father when he was ten years.His mother brought him till he became a Professor. After few months his mother  passed.Ram felt her absence. After her demise he was helping deserving students  fees and other expenses. One of his student was Prasanna came up nicely and today he is in a comfortable position. Why i want to  take you all Ram's past history ,his nature is to highlight his good nature and character.
Dubai was busy as usual .Ram was  coming from his office.Ali was driving
Sir,Today too much traffic. Every day lot of tourists are visiting
Ram.Yes Ali.The Country is Progressing past because of good ruler and governance.
Ali.You are right sir,Our country also now progressing.
Ram.Yes,I know that.The present government should prove they are   Secular and create confidence to the people.

The Gulf News story about Kenyan corruption watchdog making allegations against 175 officials was a good read (‘Kenya corruption watchdog reports 175 officials’, Gulf News, April 2). The alleged actions of government officials and ministers involved in this issue are unacceptable. A country’s main strength is a good economy, but due to corruption, that will be shattered. Governments should act on those officials and punish them severely if they are proven guilty. That will be a good eye-opener for those who want to indulge in these types of practices.

Today i am going to pen another interesting film personality from Bolly wood industry is none other than Actor,Producer and Director Shashi kapoor.One of the few Charming actors from bolly wood created  a big impact in his Six decades film career is not a exaggerated one.Started his career as an assistant director later become a Versatile actor    and directed few films.Born in the  famous R.K.Banner family  by Prithvi raj kapoor.He was famous in  romantic rolls    in films like Jab jab Phool Khile,Abhinetri,Aamne saamne and many other films.He was bestowed many awards including the latest Dadasaheb Award is worth to be mentioned here.He acted in Hindi and ,English films. Films like Deewar,New Delhi times,and famous Sharmelee.Chor Machaye Chor was also a hit movie.He was liked by all top class actors and Directors.He has directed Ajooba starring Amitabh Bachhan and other popular actors.Even though he has acted in many films i saw few remarkable movies of this stalwart.Those movies are,Deewar,Sharmelee,Jab Jab Phool Khile,Raaja Saab,Rootha NaaKaro,KabhiKahbi,Jaanwar aur Insan Aagale lagja.Roti Kapada aur Makan and some i could n't remember.Charming,Sophisticated  and Versatile actor liked by the film fraternity.Today i am happy to tribute this  Legend.I am writing this column what little i know  and if there is any error can be ignored.

There is no cauvery water connection to my apartment Kumar Castles, Palm grove enclave,in the Gubbalala area.Many people here suffer from water related diseases in the summer.This year the summer is severeand the cauvery water connection  to the area is essential.I request the Concerned authorities to provide the connection as early as possible.Garbage menace to plagues our locality and proper disposal of waste is not happening.

Gulf News’ report on the revolutionary election of Buhari was an interesting read. The recent victory of the 72-year-old opposition party leader in Nigeria may help Nigerian politics take a turn for the better. He should provide better governance, particularly with regards to the safety of the Nigerian people against the militants of Boko Haram. Over the past few months, Nigerian schoolchildren have been suffering. I hope this leader will ensure good governance for the Nigerian people, and grant them safety. We will have to wait and see!

This is with referennce to 147 Dead in Kenya Univ Terrorist Attack 9TNIE ,April 3).This has been the deadliest attack in Kenya in the last 17 Years.Only Non- Muslim students were attacked,and this is indeed sad and painful.Terrorism is a growing threat and the International community should do every thing to tackle this.My sincere prayers for the victims and their family members.

Sportive spirit

I was speaking to a friend recently and he was quiet upset about India being defeated by champions Australia at the recent World Cup cricket. I tried to console him, but he was in tears. He kept saying that he could not believe we had lost. 

I asked him if he was confident that we would win the semi-final to go onto the finals. He said, “Yes.” I then asked if he expected India to win the seven matches that it won in the tournament. He said, “No.” I explained to him that cricket was a sport and should be treated as such. 

It is a game of luck and fans should take it in a sportive way. In every game there are loses, but the it’s the spirit towards it that will overshadow defeat.

A Gulf News story on 17 people dead due to Somali militants storming a hotel, portrays actions that should be condemned (‘17 dead as Somali militants storm hotel’, Gulf News, March 30). Somalia used to be in the news for piracy, but now militants have also started looting and this is unacceptable. Governments should implement some mechanism to overcome this. Terrorism cannot be tolerated.
