Gulf News’ report on the revolutionary election of Buhari was an interesting read. The recent victory of the 72-year-old opposition party leader in Nigeria may help Nigerian politics take a turn for the better. He should provide better governance, particularly with regards to the safety of the Nigerian people against the militants of Boko Haram. Over the past few months, Nigerian schoolchildren have been suffering. I hope this leader will ensure good governance for the Nigerian people, and grant them safety. We will have to wait and see!
